With lounge/diner with double sofa-bed, stylish table and chairs to seat 6, flat screen TV (with British channels and French TNT channels via satellite) and DVD; brand new fully fitted and equipped kitchen with large fridge-freezer, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, washing machine; 2 bedrooms - one with double bed and fitted wardrobe, the other with two single beds and large built in wardrobe; bathroom: bath with shower over, toilet, sink. Free wifi. IMPORTANT re parking: If you wish to use the parking space, you must request this prior to booking and it will be subject to availability. Linen and towels provided for all rentals of 7 nights or more. About Jeremy and Lorraine Millington

We are an Anglo-Irish family who have been living in La Rochelle since 2003 and now split our time between La Rochelle and London. We run holiday accommodation in La Rochelle, a super town for tourists and those seeking to get away from it all alike as well as London, Cornwall and Cape Town, South Africa! In addition, we are musicians and sing, write and play together in a band called The Portraits.

This pic was taken during a recent trip of a lifetime to India, and really got into the spirit, clothes and all!

Why Jeremy and Lorraine Millington chose London

Our bit of West London is just fab - it is ideal for families: safe and calm with nearby parks, libraries and restaurants galore. It is on a brilliant network of buses and near the tube which means you can reach Oxford Street in 30-40 minutes door to door. This apartment has been our own home for 5 years where we've lived with our two young children while they attend school near Hammersmith. We let it when we're not here, and as such, it is a home from home with books, entertainment, toys and even some food items ready to go.

What makes this apartment unique

The residence is in such a calm location that when you're inside with the doors closed, you wouldn't have any idea of being in one of the world's biggest and busiest cities. Our neighbours are fabulous and friendly and the local businesses know, recognise and welcome in local residents. There is an unbelievably strong sense of community in the residence Wellington Court - rare indeed for any city nowadays, let alone London. As an example, we highly recommend you pop into More Munchies on the corner of nearby roads Larden Road and The Vale (also known as Uxbridge Road). Rouz Habibi is the manager - the friendliest man on the planet providing the best full English breakfasts (or indeed healthy salads, jacket potatoes, etc) in the south of England. Pop in and say hi and tell him you're staying in Jeremy and Lorraine's flat!

Logement très calme et propre

Les propriétaires sont à l'écouté et répondent à toutes nos questions ( en français ). Le logement est propre et bien équipé. Assez grand pour 2 adultes et 3 enfants. Logement très calme dans zone résidentielle. Bus à moins de 5 minutes. Nous le conseillons vivement.

Parfait pour un séjour réussi à Londres

Trouver un logement abordable et confortable pour une famille de 2 adultes et 4 enfants lors d'un séjour de 2 semaines à Londres n'est pas chose facile. Nous avons eu la chance de trouver l'appartement de Jeremy et Lorraine qui possède de nombreux avantages :

- un bon rapport qualité prix pour la très chère ville de Londres

- une situation idéale : métro à proximité, axes routiers rapidement accessibles (rocades, autoroute)

- un quartier relativement calme

- un grand confort et de nombreux rangements

- une place de parking privative

- des commerçants et supermarchés à proximité

- des propriétaires disponibles et francophones

- et cerise sur le gateau : une bibliothèque gorgée de livres pour enfants, en français, que notre fils de 6 ans a dévoré.

Durant cette quinzaine très intense, nous avons pu visiter sans encombre les principales places de la capitale : Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Tower Bridge, London tower, Camden Town (à voir absolument !), Kew Gardens (superbe parc botanique, tout près), Westminster, Greenwich, La cathédrale St Paul, Kensington, les bords de Tamise. Et au delà : Windsor (partir tôt si vous ne voulez pas louper la relève de la garde), Brighton (à voir plutôt en soirée, il y a moins de monde), Seven sisters, Bath (et ses termes romains superbement mis en valeur dans un musée), Stonehenge, Longleat (parc animalier safari)... ouf !

Vous l'avez compris, nous garderons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour, et nous conseillons vivement cet appartement.

Sehr empfehlenswert.

Es war alles super beschrieben und organisiert. Wohnungen waren sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet, zentral. Vermieter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Würde es jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Zentral zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, U-Bahn oder Bussen.

Insgesamt alles sehr gut und in jedem Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

appartement idéal

Appartement très cozy, confortable, super bien équipé en tous points (2 adaptateurs fournis et il s'en vend partout).

Bien desservi :

Bus 90 à 10 min à pied direct pour picadilly (30 min)

Station de métro 10 min à pied : Stamford Brook

Des hôtes parfaitement à l'écoute et très disponibles dans les échanges

Un quartier très calme, un appartement très calme...

Très sympa en famille, mais aussi entres amis, car 2 chambres et un salon avec canapé-lit et une porte de séparation

Un prix raisonnable

Je recommande très vivement!

Prima appartement voor een gezin

Het appartement is gezellig ingericht en ligt in een rustige, nette wijk. Het is hier heerlijk thuis komen na een dag door het levendige, drukke London. Een prettige uitvalsbasis om vanuit hier London te ontdekken. Wij waren met een gezin (2 volwassen en 2 kinderen) en daarvoor is het appartement perfect. De metro is even lopen (15 minuten) en het is ongeveer 30 minuten rijden naar het centrum (je hoeft niet over te stappen) en dat is heel goed te doen. Er zit een supermarkt om de hoek, de keuken is compleet ingericht. Wij waren via de kanaal tunnel, dus de parkeerplek kwam ook goed van pas. Jeremy en Lorraine zijn erg gastvrij en helpen je goed op weg met informatie. Wij hebben genoten van onze vakantie.

I will post this review in English for all to read...Thank you The apartment is nicely furnished and located in a quiet, neat neighborhood. It's nice to come home after a day's lively, bustling London. A nice base to explore London from here. We were a family (2 adults and 2 children) and this is the perfect apartment. The subway is just walk (15 minutes) and it is about 30 minutes drive to the center (you do not need to switch), which is doing very well. There is a supermarket around the corner, the kitchen is fully equipped. We were using the Channel Tunnel, so the parking came in handy. Jeremy and Lorraine are very welcoming and help you on track with information. We have enjoyed our holiday.
