Impeccable

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Cottage 1 for a week in April and loved it. The cottage is very spacious (much bigger than it looks in the pics) with a good sized dining kitchen and huge table. The lounge is cosy but not small and all three bedrooms are roomy with decent beds. The solid pine furniture and carpets look brand new and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We have three young children and I always dread looking under cushions, beds and settees at the end of our stay for random bits of lego etc....not here, I can honestly say everywhere was clean. The host was very pleasant and showed us the calves on the farm. Ibberton is small but a great base to visit the county and further - we never really drove more than an hour or so but ended up in Dorset, Devon, Somerset and I think Wiltshire too. Had a great time and thoroughly recommend the cottage. I am with EE and really didnt get a signal - was able to text and call but no Wifi. We were able to use the laptop with a dongle but only because we had to work - the lack of interent was otherwise quite refreshing (mobile wouldnt work off the dongle) There were no downsides for us - only that Tesco turned up 24hrs late because they couldnt find us. Oh and the multi coloured cat that was slinking around in rhe rafters in the laundry barn.....at 8pm in the dark...gave me a huge fright!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review - we aim to provide accommodation to a standard that we would like for ourselves. Ref Broadband we have had a dedicated supply put into the holiday cottages which now seems better than our own at the farm ! Regards, Ian.

Rural idyll

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting with plenty of room and a warm welcome from the owners.

The kids very much enjoyed feeding the chickens and pigs and we very much enjoyed the farm produce! We used this as a base for exploring Dorset both the coast and inland. Expect the travel for 45 to 60 mins to get the coast.

Very peaceful and relaxed place. Only small problem was wifi connection which was only possible in certain parts of the house, but this forced more peace & quiet!
