Bright beach style bungalow close to cafes, shops, restaurants, pub and beaches

Updated: 22-Oct-2016
Three bedroom bungalow with surrounding enclosed garden

When you walk into Greenways it has a friendly warm welcoming feel. There are lovely country views from the gardens, lounge and main bedroom, stretching as far as Bodmin moor. You cant see the sea from the house. It is set well back from the beach road between Trebetherick and Polzeath on an unmade road, which leads directly onto the coastal path and beaches. It is within walking distance of excellent restaurants, cafes, village shops/supermarket, surfing shops a pub and sandy beaches. The garden is all around the house, is well fenced and secluded with terraced sheltered areas for barbecuing outside or evening drinks. There is off road parking for one car.

The kitchen is quite small but well equipped, it has a dishwasher, fridge freezer, and electric cooker. There is a washing machine and wc in the outside utility room.

There is a dining room with table and chairs and a larder next to the kitchen and a lounge with a sofa and chairs, tv and dvd.

In the front bedroom is a double bed, wardrobe, draws and a basin and the BT wireless hub is in this room.

The middle room has single bunk beds, wardrobe and basin.

The back room has a double bed, wardrobe and basin.

The bathroom has an overbath shower, basin, heated towel rail and wc.

There is a payphone in the hallway.

About the Owner

Hi, I have just 6 properties I look after in the Polzeath, Port Isaac area. They are all in lovely positions and provide everything to make your holiday very special. I live near Port Quin so will meet you at the property to make sure everything is OK and I am very close by if you have any questions, queries or problems.

Older property in need of some attention

  • 3 of 5

This property was clean and tidy and we loved the quirky features throughout the bungalow. However it is not suitable for young children. There was damp in all the rooms especially the bedrooms and as lovely as the garden was it was on different levels and the washing line was on a really high piece of ground which they would easily have fallen off of. Also the road to the property is in a very bad state of repair and the parking is really difficult.

Owner's Response: Im so sorry you felt the garden was not suitable for young children, it is enclosed so they cant escape to the road but I agree there are places they could injure themselves. I wouldnt leave toddlers alone in any garden as there are always hazards. The house is an older beach style property and is decorated in a beach style which I think it shows quite well in the photos. If it is raining then the house can feel quite damp especially if people are coming in from the sea with wet clothes and towels etc but the central heating works really well and if you put it on the house would feel very dry really quickly. There isnt room for a tumble drier at the moment but when some works have been done next winter there will be which will help enormously drying off clothes when the weather is not great. There is an air flow system in the house. The private road is bumpy but it does mean hardly any cars pass the house and if they do very slowly. We do strive to please but realise people have different expectations and we do welcome feedback as every winter we make improvements.

Perfect little holiday home!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely little holiday home! So bright and comfortable - and perfectly positioned for all the beaches. How delightful to be able to walk everywhere from the back door! Linda was very helpful too with recommendations about where to eat and what to do locally, we would definitely come again.
