Apartment in Playa Flamenca, Orihuela, Costa Blanca, Spain - Quiet Location, Close To shops/bars/baysbays

This property accommodates four people in a tastefully furnished and fully equipped apartment overlooking one of two beautiful swimming pools. The beds have memory foam mattresses and in 2017 we added filtered water tap. Pure drinking water, no more buying bottles of water. The balcony lends itself to outside dining with patio furniture. There is air-conditioning to add to your comfort and under-floor heating in the bathrooms for the cooler months. Bars and restaurants as well as the usual banks and supermarkets are all within 5 mins walking distance and beaches are 10 mins walk away. For the ardent golfers there are excellent facilities within a short distance and the apartment has a storage room suitable for golf clubs. This is a secured complex with one parking area and a lift for those who do not want to attempt stairs (excellent for wheelchairs or pushchairs). Torrevieja is the nearest large town and buses and taxis are available if you do not want to drive. There are regular open air markets and other events throughout each season to keep you busy. We have a travel cot, a baby chair which attaches to dining chair and child friendly crockery and cutlery. More equipment can be hired. Cot linen not provided.

About Terry and Yvonne Le Pelley

We live in Guernsey, Channel Islands and have a grown-up family. 15 years ago we bought our villa in Spain, then we bought the apartment 9 years ago. We come to the villa approx 3 times a year and enjoy the peace of being slightly inland.

The hot weather is what attracted us to Spain and we have had many years of happy family holidays and now enjoy semi-retirement spending longer periods in the sun.

The relaxed way of life and wonderful, reasonable meals together with the beautiful beaches and the bustle of the open air markets are our particular favourites.

We hope you too will enjoy your time in Spain, in particular in our villa and apartment, and return many many times.

Why Terry and Yvonne Le Pelley chose La Florida

We already had a villa inland and decided to buy the apartment as an investment and rent it out short term. This has proved very successful with repeat bookings. The plus is that a car is not necessary as beaches, restaurants, bars and shops are all within walking distance.

What makes this apartment unique

The sunshine and relaxed atmosphere and close proximity to all that is required are the main attributes to the property. There is also a lift which makes it easier for the more mature guests

We have many repeat bookings. Several of our lovely clients book a year in advance to avoid disappointment. If we are fully booked our key holder looks after and rents other apartments on the complex as well as several nearby, so we may still be able to help you.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is ideal for families and couples of all ages. There is hot/cold air conditioning and underfloor heating in the bathrooms for the winter months. There is secure parking on the complex and a lift. There is secure pedestrian access to the apartment. It is an excellent location with everything you need within walking distance to make your holiday enjoyable. A travel cot with mattress is available as well as a booster chair for at table with straps. We have children's plates, cups, knives, forks and spoons. A Z bed can be hired on request. TV's in master bedroom plays dvds only; and flat screen tv in lounge + wifi

Apartment very clean and tidy and great facilities and within walking distance of shops and bars but its a good walk to Flamenco or Lazenia beaches but taxies available. Apartment also has good view of complex pool which is also very good.

Great location and apartment.

Apartment has everything you need and its always nice to have some tea and coffee, bread and milk on arrival. Located in an excellent area, walking distances to many amenities. Bars and restaurants are great. The apartment is very secure for both parking and the complex with two good sized outdoor pools. Terry and Yvonne were very good to deal with and Chris the current key holder was very helpful.

Really nice and clean apartment

A really nice and well disposed apartment with kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large balcony with pool view. The apartment was clean and well equipped, everything we needed was there. An extra plus for the nice service, although we arrived with late night flight, Chris the keyholder met us and explained everything - extra extra plus for the bread, butter and milk we got. The only minus is that the sun didn´t reach the balcony but this might just be current in october/november.

We like to put some basic provisions, especially for those who arrive late at night. The Sun hits the balcony mid afternoon all year. We like this as people tend to go out during the day, the balcony is shaded and cool in the height of the day when temperatures can reach 40 degrees. There is something lovely about having drinks on the balcony, in the warm sunshine late afternoons. Many thanks for respecting our apartment and leaving it clean and tidy. Excellent apartment, excellent location

The first impressions of the apartment were that it was spotlessly clean, and much more spacious that the photos would suggest.

El Rincon complex is well maintained, and in a great location. It seems like everything you need is within 5 minute walk. Beach, supermarket, bars, restaurants... close enough for convenience, but just far enough away that you aren’t affected by noise. The complex is gated and completely secure, adding to that sense of security, especially if you’re with children.

The apartment was very well equipped, and it felt like Terry and Yvonne really care about providing the things that make your stay that much more comfortable and convenient; the filtered drinking water tap, the memory foam mattresses and sun loungers/chairs for use by the pool. All things you don’t usually get in apartments in this price bracket. Not having to lug heavy bottled water home all week really makes a difference!

The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans and utensils; we never needed anything that wasn’t provided. The fact that both the bedrooms are fully en suite certainly made sharing an apartment with a 14 year old girl much less stressful!

Overall, I can’t recommend this apartment enough. A real home away from home.

A fantastic family holiday location

This apartment is ideal for a relaxing family holiday. It was lovely and clean and Chris the key holder met us when we arrived and gave us all the info we needed. Yvonne and Terry were very helpful in providing airport transfer information and answering any other questions we had prior to the holiday. It was lovely to have some staple foods like bread, water and milk provided when we arrived too. The pool and beach were surprisingly quiet given that it was May half term which was lovely and there were so many fantastic restaurants nearby to choose from. The children particularly loved Zenia boulevard which is about a 30 minute walk away and has water fountains, a play area and a lot of great shops and restaurants. We all had a fantastic holiday and left feeling thoroughly rested.

Murcia airport is only 20 minute drive, Alicante airport is only 40 minutes drive.

The Playa Flamenca beach Commercial Centre with banks, bars, shops and restaurants is within a 5 minute walk.

Further Details:

The Orihuela region is full of history and culture with its many museums, monuments, churches and historic buildings. The nearby towns of Murcia and Cartagena are well worth a visit.

The town of Torrevieja is only 10 mins away and easily reached by car, bus or taxi. This town is full of activity with outdoor market, long promenade lined with bars and restaurants. Street entertainers and funfair.

Opened very recently Zenia Boulevard - brand new massive shopping mall, 10 mins drive from apartment. Designer shops, Primark, Burger King, Amazing bars and restaurants, night time entertainment and free parking! Loads for children and teenagers.

Booking Notes:
£100 non-refundable deposit on booking the remainder to be paid within 6 weeks of the rental period. £100 refundable damage deposit after checking of the property on your departure. Refund could take up to 2 weeks. A fee of 60 Euros to be paid to the keyholder on arrival to cover preparation of the apartment before your visit and cleaning afterwards. A basic welcome pack of water, milk and bread etc is included in the cleaning fee.

Changeover Day:
Please contact owner for changeover day details. We are flexible on changeovers as long as we have a clear 24 hour slot between rentals. On occasion we agree to arrival/departure on same day as long as both sets of tenants are in agreement.
