Lovely Chalet In Les Arcs

Updated: 24-Oct-2016
Chalet in Peisey nancroix les arcs France - Situated In The Huge Resort Of Paradiski

•The chalet has 5 full ensuite bedrooms ( one room has a bath)

•All rooms are twins and the chalet can sleep up to12 people

•* (two fold out type beds make the number to 12)

•Ski/board area on the ground floor with electric boot warmer

•Flat screen Tv with English and French channels

This chalet can be catered or self catered. For those self catering the kitchen area is well equipped, large cooker with two ovens, dishwasher, a small fridge and a larger fridge/freezer, plenty of room to work in and work space.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer downstairs for your convenience.

A balcony off from the lounge allows you to sit out on the sunny days especially early evening later on in the season when you get full sun!

The small superette is close by at 50m and there is a butchers, boulangerie and cheese shop a bit further on.

To get to the slopes, there are two options - you can take the steps down to the main road and there is a regular bus service to the ski lift - it takes 2 mins to get there.

The other option is to walk - it takes 8 mins - this can be made all the more pleasant (for kids especially) if you just rent ski equipment from Sport 2000 in Plan Peisey then you can just walk in normal boots to the ski lift (stand up type) and collect gear directly from there!

Please Note: The self catered option does not include linen and towel hire or the end of stay clean. These can be arranged if pre-booked – costs are 8 euros per single bed/2 euros per towel and 120 euros for the cleaning. Both can be paid for in resort.

About the Owner

Colin and Mel have been living in the Alps for the past 20 years settling finally in Peisey Nancroix. We have worked and skied in many areas of France but love the more traditional village resorts which have the added beauty of being linked to huge ski areas. Now, with our children we have immersed ourselves in French life and enjoy sharing our passion of the area with our guests during the winter. We also run the chalets in the summer although as this is our off-season, we are not always in the village!!

Thank you for a wonderful week in Chalet Nancroix - we were spoilt with the superb snow and the chalet was more than comfortable. We will be back again next year! Mrs Eileen Thomson, Surrey

The guys had a fab week in your gorgeous chalet. Thanks for organising the ski passes and linen for us - it made life simple. Cheers Jeff and the gang from Bristol

Great skiing but based in a traditional village, a rare find these days!!

Activity and Interests

Situated in the gorgeous village of Peisey Nancroix, the chalet is well placed for summer and winter activities. It has proved popular over the years and people are never disappointed when they arrive!

During the winter you can take the free bus to the end of the valley where you can see the hard core skiers completing the North Face of the Bellecote glacier which is a long descent to be attempted only with a guid - there are two restaurants here to sit and watch plus reindeer sleigh rides, horse drawn sleigh, husky rides and snow shoe walking as well as cross country skiing and sledging with a man made hill with long run off perfect for the kids!

The chalet is close to a bus stop to take you to the ski lift in 2 minutes or an 8 min walk to the ski lift. The tourist office is 2 mins away. The shops and other amenities are 50 to 100m away

During the summer, the shuttle bus also runs taking you to the National Vanoise Park where you can walk high in the mountains up to refuges and glacial lakes, to see the wild life and beautiful flora. You can also try the high wire park or the Via Ferrata or just sit on a deck chair with a glass of wine and soak up all the scenery while the others do the hard work!!

You can also rent mountain bikes and using the well marked trails and lifts tackle a day of VTT with or without a guide.

A little further afield you will find Plan D'eau which is great for natural swimming and has a park and restaurant close to Aime, also Centron there is the base for WhiteWater Rafting with Franceraft, who have been looking after our guests for years. There is another small lake here which is popular for paddle boarding, a bit more subdued to the fast river water but is also good for the abs!! Franceraft can also organise hyrdo speeding, canyoning and canoe rafting too.

If you want a bit of culture the tourist office organises tours ofthe village historical property including our very own house which has an ancient sundial on the side !! Local Cheese tasting, and also a visit to the silver mines which is what brought the original families to Peisey.

Further Details:

Small supermarket, restaurants and bars all in easy walking distance.

Hyper market at Aime - E Leclerc

Ski shops - we recommend Sport 2000 Noz Sports at Plan Peisey as they will give our guests discount and also store your gear there too.

From the Owner

Gorgeous chalet which has been tastefully renovated with quirky details - the photos do not do it justice! With an old fashioned feel mixed with modern style - perfect. The outside looks like any ordinary house in a French village but when you enter inside especially the top floor everyone is surprised - it has been beautifully renovated!
