Amazing family holiday

The property was outstanding. There was everything you could possibly need, it was clean, luxurious, a real treat to stay in. The village is so pretty and well maintained. Swimming pools are excellent. We had an amazing holiday in a beautiful villa which I would highly recommend to anybody looking to holiday in Nerja.

Lovely stay in Villa

Our family of 8 stayed for 1 week from 29th August to 5th September. The villa is divided into the main accommodation on ground and first floor levels and a downstairs self contained apartment leading into the garden. The villa is very spacious with more than enough room for all our party. Everything we required was within the villa.The garden and sun terrace are particularly nice for relaxing.The local information provided by the host is very useful. The villa is situated in a lovely Andalusian styled planned village with a large communal pool which is accessed by the pool pass provided. Nerja is a delightful resort with nice beaches and an abundance of good quality restaurants and bars. For something a little different I would recommend a walk from the dry river bed in the center of Nerja up into the canyon wading through water to the natural pools which are ideal for cooling down. The walk is not difficult and mainly flat. The villa is an ideal holiday destination and one which I would recommend.

Fantastic spacious villa in El Capistrano Village

We are a family of 6 adults & 4 children aged between 9 & 12yrs. Stayed 2 weeks end Aug 2015. The villa was absolutely superb, not your average villa. So spacious with a grand staircase leading up to 2 kingsize bedrooms 1 en-suite each with a balcony also a large bathroom. Huge living room leading onto dining room & kitchen.

Kitchen has every utensil & crockery etc so well equipped.

On this level there is a verandah with comfortable seating overlooking the spacious enclosed garden. Had a great family barbecue. There is also a separate apartment on lower ground floor with additional 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom & living room.

Helen the owner has thought of everything to make your stay stress free. She is excellent at communicating immediately should you have any queries. She does a brilliant A to Z guide which has everything you need to know about villa, area, amenities etc.

The villa is spotless throughout and is situated in a pedestrian only environment with beautiful walkways & flowers everywhere.

There are 3 spacious pools at the village, with lifeguards in attendance. Burriana beach about 15 mins walk downhill. Local bus at 1e! Journey back.

We did not hire a car as used local taxi service to / from airport at reasonable rates. Local bus to Nerja every hour excellent service, again 1e.

Highly recommend this villa & definitely will rebook in future.

Home from home, does 'what it says on the tin'

We have just returned from a fantastic three generation and eight person two week family holiday in this villa. We have been to the Nerja/Capistrano and Frigiliana areas before over many years and we knew what to expect, but in every respect this accommodation and the service and support provided by Helen the owner exceeded all of our expectations.

From initial enquiry to return of surety the booking and occupation process was very clear and simple. Helen was always easily contactable and always promptly did as she promised, this included the repair of a faulty air conditioning unit in a bedroom within hours of a phone call being made to the local representative.

The pre departure information was comprehensive to assist with planning the holiday with tips covering most things including car hire, taxis, directions, days out, restaurants, house operating notes and local information which we found useful and would definitely prove to be valuable to any Nerja novices. For a different fun day out we recommend walking up the River Chillar.

The villa was extremely comfortable, clean, well maintained and is very much a home from home with a superb garden. The villa is more than fully equipped with everything anyone could ever possibly need on a holiday here including an amazing shopping trolley which is capable of safely carrying twenty four large bottles of San Miguel at one time! We could even keep abreast of two 'Ashes' matches on Sky Sports 3 and grandchildren were kept amused at times with DVD's and the house toys. More often than not rented accommodation provides basic and incomplete or broken and sub standard equipment, that is not the case here.

The villa is superbly located within the well maintained and pretty main village area of Capistrano with easy parking nearby and only a short walk to the local pools and supermarket. Throw in the sun and the best beach (Burriana) in Spain and we don't know what more anyone could want.

Beautiful Villa in El Capistrano Village

We are frequent travellers to Nerja and El Capistrano Village is our favourite place to stay due to the wonderful architecture and lovely flora in the urbanisation. On this occasion we needed a four bedroomed Villa to accommodate our party size and the description given accurately portrays the property. The Villa is very well appointed and Helen, the owner supplied the most detailed and comprehensive instructions to help find the property and to help you make the best of your stay so you really do hit the ground running! There are some fantastic restaurants in Nerja and many recommendations from the owner and previous rentals to help you on your way. Although it is possible to walk to the town and beach we always hire a car from the airport which makes life just that bit easier.

Beautiful, spacious and well maintained

We had a wonderful holiday at this beautiful villa. It was certainly a home from home. We travelled with 3young children, including our 5month old son. The house is so well equipped for families. Plenty of baby equipment if you require - cot, high hair, monitor, even a buggy but we brought our own for the airport etc. We were very impressed with the property which was very clean and well maintained throughout. There were six of us in total and the house could easily accommodate more than this. We loved the patio area with the comfortable furniture. The garden is enclosed so the girls could play safely. There was literally anything and everything you could want here. Helen, the owner was extremely helpful not only with the booking but with local attractions, recommending taxis and restaraunts in the area etc, nothing was any trouble. I would highly recommend the property. El Capistrano village itself was a lovely spot, approx 20 minutes walk from the town of Nerja, there is a bus every hour but you wouldn't want to be waiting on it;) . It's only a short walk from Burriana beach too. We would love to go back next year.

Burriana beach is located within a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive.


Malaga airport is approx 50km. We can advise you regarding transfers or car rental, although a car is not necessary it is recommended if you wish to discover the beautiful countryside of Andalucia and maybe visit some of the beautiful cities like Granada, Cordoba or Seville. A selection of guide books and maps are available in the property giving ideas for days out along with walking maps of the local area for those who feel energetic!?


Frigiliana a typical white washed mountain village is 15 minutes drive. The famous Nerja Caves are 5 minutes drive.

Further Details:

An 'urban bus' [1 euro] provides transport to and from the village into town/the beach, both of which are a 20 minute walk away - a very pleasant walk down, although uphill coming back ! local taxi would cost approx 6 euros. We have extensive 'local information folders in the property with details of favourite restaurants/bars, typical day trips etc. Within a short stroll there are 5 beautiful community pools along with tennis courts, a famous 'cave bar' with a good 'Happy Hour', restaurant, village shop. laundry, excursions office. The Nerja Club Hotel is a 5 minutes walk and has a fabulous FREE flamenco evening & nightly entertainment.'You are welcome to try on and use our 'Flamenco dresses & accessories' to really enjoy your experience in Spain! There is also a new Spa opened at the Nerja Club Hotel.

I can honestly say this was the most lovely villa we have ever stayed in. We really appreciated the child friendly aspects (books, dvds, games, unbreakable crockery, push chair etc and an amazing array of beach equipment/toys) all left at our disposal.
