Charming, traditional Mallorcan mill house with private pool, sleeps 6. Set in approximately 2 acres of peaceful Mediterranean gardens and woodland including a fruit orchard and private stream frontage. The newly-renovated house and pool are perfectly situated in tranquil countryside, abounding with birds and wildlife; everything from pine martens, wild tortoises, geckoes, hedgehogs, moorhens etc to the occasional field rat or snake, yet the house is just 10 minutes from beautiful white sand beaches, 3 golf courses and the small towns of Capdepera and Arta which provide shops, restaurants and other day-to-day requirements. The neighbouring coastal town of Cala Ratjada offers ample choice of restaurants, bars and nightlife.

About Mr Simon Large

We are the Large family. There are 5 of us. Simon, Julia, Ben, Emma and Philippa.

Currently we live in Hong Kong but we visit Mallorca regularly and welcome all visitors to our home.

Why Mr Simon Large chose Manacor - Arta Region

We were looking for a property in the Mediterranean, but didn't believe we would find one that would match our needs. And then we saw Es Moli and the decision was easy.

We wanted a private property, which would give our children a chance to enjoy nature (as we currently live in big Asian cities) but we also wanted somewhere in reasonable proximity to towns and beaches and golf courses.

Es Moli is all of these things and much more. A really beautiful place. We often wish we lived there permanently, and maybe one day we will - but for now we can only visit a couple of times every year. It is nice however to be able to share that beauty with others.

What makes this villa unique

It is wonderfully peaceful. We can sit as a family on the terrace for hours and just listen to the birds or have meals that last all day! Or wandering around the 3 acre garden and looking out for different wildlife - lizards, tortoise, ducks, beetles.

On the border of the property are these remarkable parkland trees that stretch 20 to 30 metres into the sky - a very unusual feature for a Spanish property. There is also a small mill pond which has fish and a resident moorhen.

Of course there is a pool with deckchairs and a barbeque.

And inside we recently refurbished the house in 2011 so everything is fresh and updated.

We have a caretaker who lives very nearby, and he is available to answer questions and help in any way he can.

Refundable Damage Deposit £171

Booking Notes:
A bank transfer of 50% of the total rental is payable on confirmation of the booking with the balance and payable 60 days prior to arrival. A security deposit of 300 euros is taken against any damage during the rental period. The deposit is returned within 14 working days of the end of the rental period. The weekly cleaning fee is 140 euros. The property comes with an on-site caretaker.

Changeover Day:
Usually Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is 4pm on the day of arrival and check-out of the day of departure is 10am.

Notes on prices:
140 euros extra for cleaning/linen change at the end of each week. Cleaning fee is collected in cash on arrival. Refundable Damage Deposit 300 euros. Extended winter lets can be agreed. In winter 95 euros extra per week for central heating.

Outside: There is a covered eating terrace featuring a table seating up to 8 to the side of the house, a terrace area around the pool with dining table and benches seating 6. Sunbeds and umbrellas are provided by the pool. Utility Room: Washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house is cleaned and fresh bed linen and towels provided once a week or as agreed. Other: Dining room with table seating 8.
