Our guest comments have been wonderful. Many have described the property and it's position as magical and also very complimentary comments about the decor and cleanliness The amazing sunsets always receive a mention and also I am very proud to say that the welcome and goodies we give has been consistently mentioned by our guests. The feedback from the inspector who visited the house was wonderful she said she would like to live at Heath Lodge!

Heath Lodge is a very beautiful place to stay. You won't be disappointed. The views are absolutely stunning with 5 star accommodation.

John and Patricia are such a lovely, friendly couple who made us feel very welcome, (not forgetting Toby & Mika of course)

We would definitely love to stay here again.

Expectations Exceeded!

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Brixham many times as it is a favourite of ours, but we have now discovered a gem of a property. The views are spectacular and the property is fantastic - it is spotless. The property is 5 star standard throughout. We were greeted by John who gave us a tour of the property, we had cake, wine and milk on arrival which was very much appreciated after the drive and is a lovely touch. John and Trish the owners who live next door are wonderful, they are so thoughtful and kind and we feel we have made new friends. The view alone is worth every penny of this holiday. You will not want to dine out when you have that view from your dining table - we can honestly say, we have never eaten in so much whilst on holiday and who needs a television when you have these views (there is one provided) night time views are just as good. Everything you can ask for is at the property and we will definitely be returning soon. It takes you 10 minutes to walk to the harbour where there is a host of shops and lovely restaurants. Our son progressed from crabbing to fishing and he absolutely loves it. Berry Head which is one of our favourite walks is close by and cream teas at Berry Head Hotel with yet more wonderful views and watching the sun go down. We caught a ferry to Dartmouth and then another boat that cruised the River Dart - it was an excellent day trip which John recommended. We also caught the ferry to Torquay for a potter around and looked at the lovely yachts. Go ahead and book, you will not be disappointed and you will not want to stay anywhere else. We are back home and missing the views and sea breeze and seeing John, Trish and their lovely dogs.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much indeed for writing such lovely things about Heath Lodge and may I say that John and I felt it was a pleasure to look after you and we loved having you stay at Heath Lodge. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and we really do hope we shall see you all again by which time your son will be a proficient fisherman { maybe not too many mackerel though } and will be teaching the others on the Breakwater! John and I send you our very best wishes and hope you enjoy the rest of your Summer xx

Heath lodge is exactly what is says on the tin & lots more besides. The lodge was spotless & very well equipped. There was cake & wine on arrival. Also as we were arriving at night even milk in the fridge with tea & coffee. Lots of personal touches made everything perfect. The views are wonderful & there was always something to watch in the harbor. The owners are very nice & helpful. Had a lovely holiday. We will definitely be returning.

Owner's Response: Thank you both so much for writing such a lovely review of Heath Lodge. We really appreciate your kind comments . It is so important to have a lovely space when you are on holiday. I know that when we are on holiday we are out and about a lot but it is also nice to know that you have a nice home to come back to isn't it ? I know that a lot of my guests sometimes like to stay in and just look at the view and many of my guests say that they look forward to coming 'home' to Heath Lodge after a day sightseeing or back from the beach. I do hope that you do return and come and see us again and , if so , we will look forward to welcoming you both again ! Kind Regards, Patricia

Beautiful Place to Stay in Brixham.

  • 5 of 5

My wife & I decided to have an early break in the warmer South West and we're absolutely delighted with our choice of Heath Lodge in Brixham. It really is as impressive & immaculate as it looks in the photos and the views over the marina are something that we'll truly miss. The Brixham town is only a few minutes walk away and there's no need to get the car out; there are many restaurants in the town to chose from and we tried a different one each day, our favourite being the Lusty Wench. Trish & John are only next door and are a delightful couple only too willing to offer any help required and advice on the local area. A very welcome item provided on arrival is a welcome pack which included tea, coffee, sugar, bread, milk, bottle of wine and last but not least, a beautiful home made apple & cream cake ! We'd definitely recommend Heath Lodge to our family & friends, and we'd stay there again in a shot if visiting the South West area. Many thanks to Trish & John.

luxury at heath lodge

Met by lovely Trish. Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Decoration well thought out and views wonderful. Trish has gone the extra mile though with all the personal touches. Bottle of wine , clotted cream and mince pies, xmas crackers etc. Her husband John is just as lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. We both feel they are friends. We will be booking again and have already recommended it to our friends.

Thank you Trish and John for letting us stay in your fabulous home.

HEATH LODGE -Our second stay

  • 5 of 5

What can we say more, than what we stated in our last review. What a fabulous place HEAT LODGE is, with views and hosts to match. The home is immaculate as it has been for us in the past. You cannot improve on perfection, we say. The home is a credit to you both, John and Patricia. The views across the harbour and the bay are just stunning, both by day and especially by night. You can never get board with them. There is every thing you need within the home, and again local knowledge from John and Patricia was to hand regarding places of interest to visit. We were greeted by Patricia, and welcomed to HEATH LODGE for our second visit. There were fresh flowers and chilled wine waiting for us and a fresh cream cake. Thank you for that, John and Patricia. The place was spotless, which is a credit to all involved in the maintaining and up keep of the property. The whole property is as stated, very well equipped for your stay at HEATH LODGE. There are plenty of bars, and local restaurants in Brixham, as well as well stocked stores for fresh produce. All we can say is that HEATH LODGE is so good, this was our second visit, and we would have no good reason not to return for a third time next year. Thank you again to both of you, John and Patricia for a memorable and welcome stay at HEATH LODGE.

Owner's Response: Thank you both for taking the time and trouble to write another amazing review. It is especially important to me that guests returning to Heath Lodge have the same experience as the very first time they holidayed at Heath Lodge. Heath Lodge is in a fantastic position above the marina, bay and harbour but , as far as I am concerned, that is not enough. The accomodation has to be nicely furnished and equipped and have a 'wow' factor ,We do work hard to make everything lovely for our guests because a good memory of a holiday keeps us going until the next one !! I appreciate your very kind comments Dave and Jane and John and I look forward to seeing you both again, hopefully, in 2016 Kind Regards, Patricia
