Heath Lodge is a reverse level property situated above Brixham marina. It is furnished and decorated to a high standard. Most rooms have spectacular views. It is well equipped and within walking distance of the town and harbour. It has large panoramic windows and is ideal for watching the trawlers bring home their catch. There is ample safe off road parking within the boundary of Heath Lodge and is it only short walk to the harbour, restaurants and town centre. Heath Lodge is a Gold Award property rated by Quality in Tourism and has maintained this standard for seven years running and has just been awarded Gold for 2917,

Many have described the property and it's position as magical and also very complimentary comments about the decor and cleanliness The amazing sunsets always receive a mention and also I am very proud to say that the welcome and goodies we give has been consistently mentioned by our guests. The feedback from the inspector who visited the house was wonderful she said she would like to live at Heath Lodge!

Notes on accommodation: Accommodation comprises of two double bedrooms. The property is arranged on three floors and is reverse level. Most rooms enjoy spectacular views, There is a sitting room and a kitchen/diner. There is plenty of space to park vehicles in the drive of the property. The outside area has a south facing patio which is ideal for a glass of wine on sunny evenings. There is a bathroom with bath and shower. Outside: Outside space patio area with table and chairs and area for parking. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen, duvets and towels etc provided. All changed weekly on Friday changeover day. Other: Separate dining room with large picture windows showing panoramic views over the bay and coastline.

We had an amazing week staying at heath Lodge- it really is a special place , with stunning views and everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts John and Patricia. We will definitely return as soon as possible,

From the moment we walked into the property we were overwhelmed with the outstanding view and the high standard of the property. The split levels gives amazing views from all levels, the quality of the furnishings and décor are truly fabulous. It is well equipped with everything you require for a comfortable relaxing break. There is ample room for parking, and ideally located for visiting the area, and return in the evening to take in the night time view of the bay with the magical twinkling lights of the harbour and Torquay across the bay. The owners Trisha & John are both friendly and charming and even left little touches to ensure we had a memorable holiday. The only downside is that we had to leave, but will hopefully be returning in 2019.

Perfect ,Perfect ,Perfect.

Just arrived back from a lovely Christmas week at this beautiful house. The house is perfect, the location is perfect and the hosts are perfect too.

Nothing is too much trouble for Trish and John and they ensure that your stay is memorable. It was a pleasure to meet them both and feel that they are now friends. The extra touches such as Prosecco, mince pies , crackers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree all made our Christmas special.

A great deal of thought has gone into equipping the house with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The only problem was we didn't want to leave . We will be back very soon.

Can this be bettered ?

Before we arrived at Heath Lodge we couldn't believe our luck ! Firstly, what strikes you is the cleanliness - it even smells clean !! But the tasteful furnishings and quality of everything in the house is wonderful. Often when we book a home for our holiday we find that , how can we say, that the house has been 'used' but this is not the case at Heath Lodge. Great attention has been shown in all areas here. What you cannot prepare for however are the fantastic views from the house. Absolutely amazing ! At night too the lights across the bay are stunning !

Heath Lodge benefits from safe parking and the town, harbour, ferries are really not far to walk to.

Lastly but not least, John and Trish are lovely. Nothing too much trouble and they leave a few treats. Yummy !! Can't wait to go back. Might even book today.

Easy access to all local amenities with amazing views to just relax and watch the world go by.

The care and attention to detail that Patricia and John have put into the property and give to you as guests is second to none.

There is a beach very nearby at the breakwater and also a sea water swimming pool, both within walking distance (5 mins). There are also two lovely beaches near Dartmouth (Blackpool sands and Slapton). Another beach is Goodrington sands which is a 15 minute drive away.


Exeter airport is the nearest to Brixham which about 35 miles.


Brixham is 5 mins walk. Totnes is approx 11 miles from Heath Lodge. Dartmouth is about 4 miles via car ferry. Exeter is approx 28 miles.

Further Details:

Torbay is a tourist area which is rich in attractions. It boasts many beautiful country and coastal walks, a zoo. We provide a wealth of information to our guests. The main town centre which has three supermarkets, banks and interesting individually owned shops is a 5 min walk from the house. There are many little restaurants and good pubs around the harbour area which are mostly to a good standard. If you like to walk the coastal paths, Heath Lodge is ideally situated There are many ferry trips which sail across Torbay or to Totnes and Dartmouth. There is a steam railway from Kingswear to Dartmouth. Brixham is a bustling , interesting town and there is always something to do. After a busy day Heath Lodge is a peaceful oasis to sit and watch the stunning sunsets whikle sipping a glass of wine.

With the safe parking at the property it is not always necessary to drive because the town, harbour, restaurants and ferries are just a short walk from Heath Lodge.

Booking Notes:
Changeover day is Friday. Time of arrival is 3pm. Time of departure is 10am. We do not take dogs (although we love them and have one). The house is not really suitable for children under 12 years. We have our own booking form and booking conditions which can be found on our website. A deposit of 25% is required with the completed booking form, the balance is 60 days before commencement of holiday. There is a £50 refundable security deposit.
