Holiday Home in Salobrena, Costa Tropical - A Tranquil Location And Stunning Sea Views Makes This The Perfect Holiday Home

The house is located in the secluded and desirable Costa Aguilera Mar urbanization on the Costa Tropical, Andalucia. It lies between the Costa del Sol to the west, and the coast of Almería to the east. The area boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in Spain - olive and almond groves, sugarcane, fruit plantations, beaches, caves and coves, rugged snow topped mountains and pine forests. Beaches are plentiful and the city of Granada (and ski resort Sol y Nieve) are just 45 minutes away. The nearest town is Salobrena – a medieval town built around a Moorish castle. Also close by is Motril, a thriving port and famous tapas destination, and to the west lively Almunecar. The house is a great base for adventure and exploring, or simply relaxing by the pool. Malaga is 50 minutes away by car. The house has been recently refurbished, is fully furnished and includes all mod cons.

Activity and Interests


There are plenty of beaches to choose from and a number can be reached by foot from the house. The Costa Tropical has a great selection of beaches to choose from - all accessible by car or foot and set against a stunning mountainous backdrop.


Malaga airport - just under 1 hour by car (best selection of flights)

Granada airport - 1 hour by car

Car hire is recommended. However, there is a bus to/from Malaga airport to Salobrena and it would be possible to walk to the shops from the house. There is a bus and taxi service.


Salobrena = 1.5 kms / Motril = 9kms / Almunecar = 12 kms / Granada = 66 kms / Malaga = 85 kms

Further Details:

There are plenty of good supermarkets and shops in Salobrena. There is also a small commercial park in Motril. Large commercial centers can be found in Velez Malaga or Granada. Remember to visit the local markets for bargains and fresh fruit and veg, and the rastro (car boot sale) for hidden treasures. For eating out, try a menu del dia along Salobrena beach front or tapas (yes, you still get them with every drink here!) in Motril or Almunecar. Booking Notes:
A deposit of £250 is due to confirm your reservation. This money also acts as a security deposit and will be returned in full within 10 days of departure as long as everything is in order. The full amount must be paid 2 weeks prior to arrival. Accepted in sterling or euros. Payments can be made via bank transfer or PayPal. A booking form will be emailed out once a verbal or email reservation is made.

Notes on prices:
There will be discounts for smaller parties and an additional charge for more than 6 guests. Please contact us for info re: long term rentals. We accept Paypal or bank transfer and payment in pounds or euros.

  • Notes on accommodation: The house has two entrances - one via the street, the other up some stairs. The basement room has direct street access - great for families with small children, teenage kids or older family members. The house also looks over the pool. Outside: The house shares a large pool with a small community. It has one large terrace with dining table, BBQ and seating. 2 of the bedrooms also have a small balcony each. Utility Room: Washing machine, large fridge/freezer, ironing board, iron, vacuum cleaner, golf clubs, tennis rackets, beach umbrellas, deck chairs etc Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, beach towels and linen are included in the rental price. The property will be cleaned before arrival. Please get in touch for any special cleaning requests. Other: WiFi, computer and more books available in the library. Pls note that since March 2014 the area no longer receives UK TV channels. There is a DVD player and Spanish TV channels are available.
