The property is laid out on 3 separate levels. After entering the domain via the main gate, there is a parking space for 4-5 cars and a beautiful pond. The main villa is situated on the 2nd terrace and can be reached by car (groceries). The private pool is brand new and situated behind the main villa and completely shielded off. The villa has recently been fully renovated. The property is private and very peaceful whilst being ideally located to explore both the mountain and coastal areas. It’s a 25 minutes drive to Nice Airport, 30 minutes to Cannes and the Mediterranean beaches.
We are a family of four. We fell in love with the picturesque village of Le Bar sur Loup and its convenient location close to both the beaches and the mountains. We bought the domain in 2010 and had it fully renovated in 2011. We are happy to share our villa with other like-minded people, who want to enjoy the sun, the Mediterranean food and beautiful surroundings of the Cote d'Azur and the Provence.
Peter purchased this villa in 2010
Bar sur loup is conveniently located between the beaches of Cannes/Nice/Antibes and the southern Alpes. It's very rural and peacefull, but you are within half an hours drive from glamorous Nice or Cannes.
Absolute tranquility, recently renovated, pool area behind the villa, offering maximum privacy, child safe, intimate patio with beuatiful fire place, open view.
We really enjoyed our week's stay in this lovely family villa from Peter and Cristina. It is a very peaceful place and ideal to relax, the children loved it. After a few days we decided to explore the mountainous area around Le Bar sur Loup, especially Gourdon is impressive. We also visited the beaches in Antibes, very cosmopolitan! All in all we had a very relaxing and luxurious holiday together with our children and friends, Bernadette and Peter, London
We spent 9 days in this property for our summer holidays with my mother in law and my stepsons and we had a good time. The house is really pretty and functional,we enjoyed late breakfast, mornings by the pool and barbecue lunches before head off every afternoon to see the towns around the area, the house is a little remote and you need a good sat nav to find your way but after one day you start to get the area. The house managers,Veronique and Amed were kind and helpful, despite my lack of french we managed to communicate and we got given tips where to go and we weren't disappointed by their recommendations. They only thing I would suggest for one of the room is to provide a double bed instead than a single bed, my 15 year old tall stepson wasn't very impressed the first night, and maybe put a closet and second bedside table in the first room downstairs. We did enjoy our stay and I am happy to recommend this place for future renters for their family holidays. The owner has always been in touch via email and I can't fault that, I am happy to have made good memories in this pretty french cottage.
We stayed at Peter and Cristina's lovely villa in July 2014 with our two teenage children. The house, gardens and pool were beautiful with lots of different outside seating areas. The covered patio was a lovely place to eat and we cooked outside nearly every day. The house was well equipped - including WiFi which mattered hugely to the kids - there was also a selection of books, music and DVDs which added a personal touch. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful and Le Bar is pretty village with an excellent restuarant (Le Donjon). Good (if hot) walks from nearby and easy to get to Nice, Cannes, Monaco etc - we could have spent at least another two weeks exploring the area.
We had a wonderful holiday in this spacious and luxurious villa.
Peter and Cristina made us feel at home instantly and the kids explored the surroundings and loved the swimming pool. The environment is reallly relaxing: beautiful nature, rivers and villages. The beaches are only 45 minutes away, as are the well known places like Nice and Cannes. The villa offers everything you need for a lovely holiday in the south of France!
We stayed here in July 2013. The house is tastefully decorated with a large open plan living, kitchen and dining area, a great master bedroom with en-suite and 3 other double bedrooms. The barbeque area is great with lovely views of the surrounding area. The pool area is private and very relaxing. There is plenty to see and do close by and easy to get to from Nice Airport. We especially enjoyed visiting St Paul de Vence and the perfume factory in Grasse. Great walking areas too. We will definitely go back!

The village of Chateauneuf provides the closest larger supermarket Intermarche. It takes 5 minutes to drive there from our property. There are a selection of banks, cash points, cafes and 3 boulangerie's! It is also the cheapest petrol station around for miles and is self service for which you will need a credit or debit card. Opio is a further 5 minutes down the hill and also has a "Carrefour Marche", another good sized supermarket. In Le Rouret, which is next to Chateau Neuf, a large Casino supermarket was opened recently.
