Just Perfect

I spent a lot of time researching properties and this was the one that I kept coming back to. It was absolutely perfect for myself, my husband and our 14 year old daughter. It was exactly as described and the position and setting exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, modern but had a quaint and traditional feel to it. The position of the property in the resort meant it was quiet but still very close to all amenities, restaurants, beach, supermarkets etc. Laura, the owner was fantastic and very easy to contact. I would highly recommend this property and would love to return if visiting the Island again. A real gem and a credit to the owner, who has made this property such a special place.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Good restaurants and safe beach. For car rental I recommend Sol Cars rentacarmenorca.com, as i feel the best way to visit the island is by hiring a vehicle. Local fiestas in Calen Porter are around the second week of September.


You can walk to the beach of Cala'n Porter, 14 minutes, but lots steps going down and therefore going up! Or 2 minutes by car. I can send you a google earth image so you can see exactly where the apartment is located in Calen porter. The other beach close to Calen Porter is Son Bou beach, 15 minute drive on the bak road to Alaior. Also you can walk down to Cales Coves for a swim.


15 minutes from the airport, you will drive through the friendly menorquin village of Sant Climent with good supermarket, chemist, banks and restaurants. Best if you hire a vehicle so you can enjoy the rest of the island. During peak season i recomend you reserve a vehicle in advance as you might not find one available on the island. I strongly recomend to book with a local company as national companies always charge extra. Visit solcarhire.com for prices.


10 minutes drive to Sant Climent village, but Cala'n Porter also offers good supermarkets, restaurants, souvenir shops, chemist and banks. You can also reach Son Bou beach by driving on the back road from Calen Porter to Alaior.

Further Details:

Calen porter is a perfect place for a holiday, there are good restaurants, good entertainment and great facilities for children. The apartment is just 5 minutes walk for all amenities, but you are still away from the crowds, offering peace and tranquility.
