Apartment in Morzine, French Alps - Centre of Village - Ideal for Winter and Summer Holidays

Le Baraty is a large airy first floor apartment offering a high standard of self-catering accommodation to groups and families. As one of the most centrally located apartments it is ideally situated for the ski lifts and hire shops (avoiding long walks or buses), restaurants and shops. The open-plan lounge / dining room has two large sliding picture windows taking you out on to a balcony on either side of the apartment, giving lots of light and a sense of space, with superb views of Le Pleney on one side and Avoriaz the other. The large kitchen provides space and all necessary for those preferring to self cater. The comfortable living area has flat screen TV, DVD player with a selection of films, an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii with games, WiFi broadband connection and a Bose ipod dock. Le Bararty is the ideal base for winter skiing and in the summer walking and mountain biking and other adventure activities.

Why Samantha Kerr chose Portes du Soleil area

We all enjoy skiing and spending time outside. We have holidayed in Morzine a few times before deciding to buy. Location is fantastic - 1.5 hours from Geneva or 8 hour drive from Calais. The village is stunning in both winter and summer. The ski area is great for learners and more advanced skiers. Lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. In the summer you can swim in lakes and cycle in the mountains.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is located right in the centre of Morzine. Shops and restaurants right on your doorstep. A 5 min walk to both Pleney lift and Super Morzine. Under ground parking. A large cave for storing skis. Fantastic views of Pleney one side and Avoriaz the other. A fantastic location for skiing in the winter and lakes and mountains in the summer.

A security deposit of £400 is required at the time of final payment. This will be returned once the property has been checked over after you have vacated. Tourist tax will be added to the rental cost. The current rate is €1.20 per night for adults. Under 18s are free. Outside: Two patio areas with views to the Pleney on one side and Avoriaz the other. Garage with space for one car. Plenty of ski storage space in lockable cave in basement. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All fresh linen and towels included and changed weekly. Apartment cleaned weekly and included in cost during winter. Superb apartment and location

There are always minor niggles with apartments, but this one is great. Beds slightly uncomfortable and too warm for my tastes, but if going back this is where I would go straight to book. Really enjoyed,. Morzine is charming but efficient, really friendly town.

Great apartment in a great location

A lovely modern and spacious apartment right in the centre of Morzine. The apartment was clean and very well equipped. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our party and the apartment had plenty of room. The pleney lift is a 2 minute walk from the apartment which is ideal for families with young children. The apartment is situated on the town square which is surrounded by shops and restaurants, with a number supermarkets in easy reach.

We have been coming to Morzine for a few years and this is the best apartment we have stayed in, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Superb Accomodation with the best location

The accommodation, is clean and spacious with everything you need. The location is perfect for skiing as it is close to the Pleney lift and the Super Morzine bubble is only a very short walk away. There is also a bus stop just outside the accommodation should you need it. The restaurants and bars are on your door step but not to close to disturb you. I would recommend this accommodation as it is perfect for groups or families and has everything you need to make your ski holiday enjoyable. I look forward to hopefully going back soon. x

Perfect apartment and location

You could not find a better location in Morzine than this - 2 min walk to the Pleney lift and 5 mins to the Super Morzine Telecabin. It's literally in the main square, so right next to all of the good restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need, 9 of us stayed there and we had plenty of room for not only us, but all of our belongings as well. We would definitely recommend this apartment as somewhere to stay in Morzine.

Perfect Apartment in Central Morzine

I can only agree with the other reviewers, this is a great place to stay. It's the third time in five years we have chosen to come back here as a group of 8 friends but it would also work well for two families or one larger family. Comfortable, nicely furnished, more spacious than most apartments and centrally located within the town for everything you need. Easy parking in the basement. Avoriaz bus leaves opposite, a couple of hundred meters to the Plenay lift and 5 minutes on foot to Super Morzine connections, there is almost nowhere better situated. Kitchen has everything you need but so handy for the restaurants you won't want to cook. Sam is always helpful and responds quickly - if you want to stay in Morzine, you'd be struggling to find anything better than this.

Just the best location!

Right on the town square and a short walk to Le Pleney, ski hire, bars, cafes, shops etc. Couldn't be easier! Prompt replies from Sam to my emails, efficient meet and greet service too. The apartment was very clean. There's a lovely open plan living space. We were a group of 7 adults, but it would be tight for 10 people as there are only 2 loos. We will be back if our numbers are similar next year.

Location

Travel:

Flying - Geneva is the nearest airport and is a 1 hour 15 minute transfer to Morzine. Transfers can be arranged. Driving - From Calais, it is a 8 hour drive to Morzine. Although a car is not essential in the winter, in the summer it is advisable if you want to explore the area.

Distances:

As Le Baraty is situated in the centre of town you are no more than a few minutes walk to all of Morzine's restaurants, supermarket, shops and ski lifts.
