Trevean is a granite single storey cottage overlooking it's own large secluded garden with summerhouse, brick built BBQ, garden furniture and small pond. Open porch leads to living room with granite inglenook & woodburning stove, comfy leather sofas, flatscreen digital TV with Freeview, DVD recorder, DAB radio with ipod docking.

Fully fitted kitchen/dining room is all electric - microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, hob and oven. Dining table & four chairs plus window seat.

Double bedroom with King size bed and twin bedroom with two 3' beds have quality, comfortable mattresses, duvets and all bedlinen supplied. Bathroom with power shower over a contemporary showerbath, bath and hand towels provided, please bring your own beach towels.

Oil fired central heating [October to April inclusive] 8.00am to 10.30pm and double glazing throughout make this cottage as cosy at Christmas as it is sunny in summer. Great walks from the doorstep for dogs & owners. Private off road parking.

About the property

Our 35 acre farm is located between the unspoilt fishing village of Mousehole and the famous artists village of Lamorna. Our two cottages are granite built with great views over the surrounding countryside. Situated on our farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty this is the perfect place to escape and unwind. The cottages are double glazed, have woodburners and have central heating included, from October to April inclusive, which means they are as cosy in December as they are cool in August. Both cottages have electricity & initial bag of logs for the wood burner included. We welcome a well behaved dog in both cottages, but there is strictly no smoking. WiFi is available free of charge.

About Rachel Hood

I am Rachel & live on our small farm, 35 acres, with my husband Nick, Tammy our Border Collie, Margot our Spinone, Hunky & Dory our two cats, five horses, chickens, geese, pigs & of course our sheep & their guard Llama, Chico.

I moved to West Cornwall in 1981 having had a lifelong romance with Cornwall and to Castallack in 1998.

This part of Cornwall is very special to me & the peace & tranquillity is a real feature along with the many fantastic beaches, great art and culture and wonderful walks.

I used to own a restaurant in Penzance, 15 years of hard work and no social life, but now concentrate on our accommodation.

I am really proud of our two cottages into which we have put so much time & effort, they are both fabulous to stay in, for a week or a month.

Rachel Hood purchased this cottage in 1998

Why Rachel Hood chose South West Cornwall

We bought the property because I had known it as farm buildings when I used to ride around here from our previous home two miles away. I loved the location then & love it even more now.

We are away from city, town, village life & live in a small hamlet that although away from it all is close to Mousehole, Newlyn & Penzance.

We go to the wonderful Minack Theatre as often as possible & enjoy the great cafes & restaurants in the locality.

What makes this cottage unique

There are great walks from the doorstep & fabulous beaches & coves to visit that are really close by.

The scenery in West Cornwall is something really special, & the combination of sea & countryside is compelling.
