Beautiful and quiet hillside location with views of coastline. Large patio with private pool and covered barbecue and dining area. Large open plan lounge and dining room with wood burning stove. Extensive, well equipped kitchen. Four twin bedrooms each with a bathroom, one of which is en suite with walk-in shower. Two bedrooms either side of living area making the villa ideal for two families or different generations. Each bedroom has access directly onto the patio. The villa is all on one level and ramps can be inserted at front and patio entrance doors for easier access. There is a table tennis table for those feeling energetic and an outside fridge for those who prefer to relax with a cool drink.

About the Owner

We are farmers in Hampshire and having enjoyed family holidays in the Algarve since 1970's we had the opportunity to purchase this villa in 1982. We chose Casa Aveia ("wild oats") because of its peaceful rural setting and wonderful views. We have modernised the villa sympathetically over the years making it a relaxing family holiday home. We all continue to enjoy our time in Casa Aveia - when we get a chance!

We have stayed in this delightful villa for the past six years and keep going back! We cannot resist it! The living accommodation is superb - it is extremely spacious, and with two bedrooms each end of the villa it is ideal for two families, especially as each bedroom has a bathroom. The views overlooking the sea and countryside from the villa are magnificent. It is a ten minute drive to several beaches - we favour Lagos as we like the beach and the quaint town. The local people are most welcoming and it is very child friendly. We all adore it and can't wait to return to it yet again. Janet June 2014



Set in a secluded spot on a hillside with views of Lagos and Luz, this well equipped villa is perfect for relaxing "at home" with it's pool and barbeque area. The villa is conveniently situated only a short drive away from great beaches and places to eat. What a great family holiday! Chris September 2014



We had a brilliant two weeks stay at Casa Aveia. A really lovely, spotlessly clean and well-equipped villa. The kids really loved the table tennis too - an unexpected benefit. We had a very relaxing and fun stay. The family are already petitioning for a return trip next summer! Lucy August 2014

Lovely villa with great views

We had a great fortnight - thank you. Situated high up above Lagos, the views were great and close to beaches and the town. Really well laid out with a large terrace surrounding the pool. Great open plan sitting room and spacious kitchen. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Pool was nice but needs a bit of TLC and updating. Thank you again

Praia da Luz is 4.5 km and Meia Praia in Lagos bay approximately 15 minutes by car. Sagres and Cape St Vincent 30 minutes by car.

Travel:

Faro airport is 85 km or 1 hour away by car. Car hire is advisable.

Distances:

Praia da Luz is 4.5km and Lagos is 5 km and have all necessary facilities.

Monchique mountain is 40 minutes by car.
