Lovely, lovely apartment

Beautiful apartment. Very spacious, spotlessly clean and everything you could need for a 2 week stay. A nice walk down to the marina and Lagos town even with a 6 year old. Always plenty of room around the pool, which again was very well maintained. We couldn't have wanted anything else from a holiday apartment. Would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay again when we go back to Lagos, which we will time and time again. The agent, Andrea, was lovely and very helpful with any questions we had. Too many fab restaurants to mention really. But Portofinos and D Henrique were excellent. Also the Days of Adventure dolphin watching trip was well worth doing. A fab holiday and a fab apartment!

Lovely apartment

We were 2 adult couples meeting up for a wonderful holiday together . The apartment was perfect everything we needed , the balcony was amazing , room for breakfast . Chill out and evening drinks we made full use of it . By day we visited a different beach each day( we had a car ) and we went to some beautiful beaches , and a gorgeous fishing village with a beach . Late afternoon we spent by the pool .At night we walked into the old town(approx 25 mins walk) and had some great meals out . Came home by Taxi very easy to find by the fish market . Had a great holiday and the weather was great which is always a plus. Would definitely recommend it .

Fantastic apartment - with the best balcony!

This apartment is just wonderful! We stayed for 2 weeks as a family of 4, 2 x adults and 2 x children ages 7 and 9 in August and loved every minute. The apartment is HUGE, much bigger than the photos show, the balcony is just beautiful with sunshine all afternoon into the evening (you won't get a better balcony on this complex!) and so much space - wow! I can't even begin to tell you how relaxing our holiday was, the pool being just a floor below, with your own sunbeds so no fighting for those (there was always plenty of space around the pool too) and it was so easy to pop back for books, snacks and a drink or two! We spent most of our time (while at the apartment) on the balcony, we rarely used the lounge or TV. The master bedroom is beautifully done out, high quality furniture, very comfortable bed (and I'm fussy), nice ensuite shower room. Our girls had the bedroom at the other end of the apartment which at first I was a bit concerned about as the apartment is very long so they were quite a distance from us, but actually it worked out well as in the mornings we had more privacy. The other residents were very friendly, our girls soon made friends and loved being poolside with their new buddies which made life easy for us. The apartment itself is located right next to Aldi (but not that you would know it's tucked behind the back) so this was really handy and saved us a small fortune on water and snacks. It's a 15-20min walk into the marina/old town which we did most days at least twice and our girls were fine with that - unless very late and we would grab a taxi for 4-5 Euros back. As for Lagos itself, well, I was blown away by how much I loved it. So much to see and do, wonderful restaurants, beautiful cobbled streets in the old town, the marina, the breath-taking scenery and beaches, the wonderful people so friendly and kind, the fantastic trips available (we saw Dolphins, breathtaking! And Kayaking!)... I could go on and on... trust me, you'll love it too! The highlight of our trip (apart from the balcony and Lagos itself) was going to the Medieval Festival in Silves... what an EXPERIENCE that was. Stephen, the local rep (also lovely by the way) recommended it, and it was brilliant. My husband has traveled/backpacked all over the world and he said it was up there with his top 5 travel experiences! So... are we coming back... YES. I've just booked Lagos again for next year, we can't wait to go back... so... what are you waiting for??? Get booking!!!

Fabulous Apartment

A beautiful modern clean apartment in a great location, we were really impressed with the apartment with every comfort catered for. The balcony was huge with lots of seating areas suitable for sunbathing or chilling in the shade. The lovely marina is only a 15 minute walk away so a great location too. Considering we went in August the busiest time, we had no problems with the pool being overcrowded and had it to ourselves a number of times.

All amenities within close proximity, we had a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend this property.

Booking was easy and Clive responded very quickly to our e mails and any queries and we were given detailed information on the property and how to find it etc.

We would highly recommend this apartment.

Lagos is a beautiful holiday resort but is not a town that attracts the usual package holiday crowd.Rather it attracts more discerning tourists as well as families.The old town surrounded by tall stone walls is full of narrow cobbled pedestrianised streets with charming buildings and hundreds of good bars and street restaurants and many shops. It has managed to maintain it's historical heritage whilst also offering all the facilities expected of a holiday destination. With dozens of great sandy beaches within a 15km radius and the marina,seafront promenade and also its proximity to 4 great golf courses make it the ideal resort for couples and familes as there is something for everyone.

Lagos is surrounded with beautiful beaches ,from enclosed picturesque coves to the wide sweeping Meia Praia.

Travel:

Faro airport is about 50 minutes drive away. Access from the Airport across the Algarve is easy along the recently built A22 motorway. Full directions will be sent via email when booking. Taking a hire car is recommended to fully appreciate the surrounding towns and beaches (car hirers suggested in our information pack).There is secure underground parking under the apartment.

Most attractions in and around Lagos can be reached on foot in 10 minutes or less.

Further Details:

The old walled town centre of Lagos is very charming with tiled narrow streets and many great value bars and restaurants. There is a small shopping area and the river inlet running along the front of the town is very pleasant to walk down.Here you can book excursions to go fishing and take small boat trips around the local coast. The modern marina is closeby and has a footbridge across to it.Several very picturesque beaches lie just to the south of Lagos and can be reached in 10 minutes by car.

The building is very new and completed in 2010. It has been built by a well-known local developer who is highly regarded. Hence the building is to a very high standard throughout with all new fittings and fixtures. All the furniture is new and modern.It also has some nice touches like a sound speaker system in all rooms. The building/pool also benefit from ongoing maintenance. The property is close to all the town's attractions and amenities but is still set in a peaceful location.Eating out is good quality and value,golfers have close access to quality courses,and numerous beaches are near as well as the marina and river inlet waterfront to the town giving it a unique appearance among the Algarve resorts.
