Cottage in Bridport, Dorset - Quiet Secluded Location Only 1/2 Mile From Town Centre, Close Coastal Paths And Beaches

The Lodge at The Gables is the former gardener's cottage of one of Bridport's most historic houses. It has a private patio and garden with safe parking right outside. The 'Jurassic coast' bus route runs right past and it is a 5 minute walk into Bridport town where there are many restaurants and cafes. Bridport Arts Centre and Electric Palace are very popular venues for film and live performances and the weekly market and 'vintage quarter' are well worth investigating.

Completely refurbished in 2015, the cottage is a stylish and comfortable base for your visit to beautiful Dorset.

Children and dogs are very welcome and the garden is now securely fenced. 3/4 night breaks are available outside peak season.

We have lived in this beautiful Edwardian house since 2013 but have been in the Bridport area since 1990. There is nowhere better! As well as our self-catering cottage we offer B & B in the main house.

Great Little Cottage

The cottage is very well located for a short stroll into Bridport and all it's amenities. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. It is well kitted out with the exception of comfortable seating that the new owner is aware of and sorting out. The cottage is "cosy" so it is probably better suited to families with two youngsters rather than teenagers

Comfort

Our second visit to this property, good location convenient for town and coast. Very nice patio and garden. Property well equipped with good kitchen etc. On the down side, the mattress on the double bed is past it's sell by date with the springs very much in the ascendancy, also the settee is very uncomfortable and does not encourage spending an evening in. Would consider using again for our two annual visits t o Dorset if more comfort in these two areas.
