Georgous cottage and brilliant facilities

  • 5 of 5

Just on ferry home after a lovely week in Cornwall. Bev and Simon have a beautiful place which is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you might need for a holiday. The pool was a great hit with us all. Proximity to fab beaches and tourist attractions was a godsend. Would certainly recommend.

Relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying at Rainbows End cottage for our long weekend in May.We were given a warm welcome by Bev and her husband. The cottage was very well looked after and we felt very at home with all the little extras like board games, and the little welcome hamper was a nice surprise.

We would not hesitate to return here, and look forward to doing so soon.

Thanks again Bev

Wonderful holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous week at Rainbow's End Cottage despite not having fantastic weather! Firstly we were greeted by Bev with a fabulous welcome basket containing scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam, apple juice, milk, eggs and bread from a local farm shop. The accommodation itself was just perfect for us. It was well presented and had everything that you needed including a large utility room. The outside space is fantastic. There is a large garden where the children can play safely. There is plenty of outdoor seating areas where the adults can relax and also a BBQ area. Finally the swimming pool was an added bonus for us. It was exceptionally clean (Bev was out there religiously every morning!) and our children loved it.

The area itself is amazing. We explored the coves around the Lizard and toured the lighthouse. On the only day it rained we drove to Falmouth and did the 'park and float' and visited the Maritime Museum. There were lots of activities for the children and they were able to climb on many of the different types of boats displayed there.

Our favourite day it has to be said was a trip to the Minack theatre where we had booked tickets to watch a children's show called Stones and Bones. This was absolutely brilliant and we were all in stitches. In addition the backdrop to the theatre was absolutely stunning. I would strongly recommend this to everyone! We loved this holiday so much that we will definitely be returning. Thank you Bev and Simon!

Owner's Response: Great to hear that you all had a fantastic time at Rainbows End. The pool and grounds were an obvious hit with the boys. As you discovered Rainbow's End is ideally located to explore Cornwall. The unique Minack theatre with its stunning backdrop puts on a full summers programme for all ages. The Park and float into Falmouth, one of the finest natural harbours in the world is a great way to visit Falmouth to discover its historical, cultural and maritime heritage. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Look forward to welcoming you all back to Rainbow End next year.

First impressions were great and our boys dived into the pool within 10 minutes of arriving. The cottage is just as described, spotlessly clean with a delicious welcome hamper too. Bev is a wonderful host, there if need be but never intrusive. Our boys loved to help her and her husband clean the pool, which they did every morning. Children are very well catered for, from the pool equipment, to swing ball, a double swing and the various games in the cottage. We found the position of Rainbows End very convenient, off the beaten track but close to beaches and St Ives was less than 25 minutes drive away. Kynance Cove is heavenly, but wear walking shoes for the walk down there! We fell under the spell of Rainbows End, so much so that next years holiday is already booked.

A home from home in a wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

The fact that we have holidayed at Rainbow's End for four years in a row shows that it has become a home from home for our family. Bev and Simon are always welcoming and do everything they can to make sure our stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The well equipped and beautifully furnished house is spotlessly clean and well-maintained and the garden and grounds are immaculate. My favourite time of day is in the evening taking in the fantastic views of the surrounding countryside from the patio and BBQ area. The pool is wonderful; warm enough to swim in whatever the weather and a good size. There are plenty of beaches to choose from and a wake-boarding park nearby for water sport lovers but sometimes we are just as happy spending the day at the Holiday House.

Owner's Response: It's always a pleasure to see you return to Rainbows End. I know you all quickly relax into the beautiful surroundings enjoy the peace and tranquility. Its great to see you take full advantage of the pool and relax by the side with a good book or two. Rainbows End is ideally located to access many of the water sports that Cornwall has to offer. The wake boarding park at Penryn has been a huge hit with your family. After a full day of activitites watching the sunset in an evening under the pergola with a glass of wine is quite special. Look forward to welcoming you all back for a few more sunset evenings.

Returning for the second year, we had another fabulous week, the accommodation is spacious and very tastefully decorated, the location is tranquil and the views breath taking across to all coastlines when you stroll up to Goldolphin Hill.
