It has one double bedroom downstairs with en-suite shower room offering the possibility of wheelchair access and 2 bedrooms upstairs with access to a terrace. The vast living area opens on to a large covered terrace. It has geothermic underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove. Electrically operated blinds allow it to be kept cool in summer. The garden is fully enclosed with an electrically operated gate.

About the Owner

After enjoying family holidays in this beautiful and friendly area of France, we moved here on retirement. We live on a small farm, where we raise horses, about 6km from Boulogne-sur-Gesse. Our grandchildren from Spain and Belgium are regular visitors and love to spend time with our animals - goats, poultry, dogs, etc. - and of course ride.

We love Gascony for its beautiful and varied scenery and friendly people, not to mention good living and food. We decided to build a house in Boulogne which would be suitable for us to live in when we became too old for farming - or driving!

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Toulouse at 84 Kilometres Car: recommended


Atlantic beaches are about 2 and a half hours drive away. The Mediterranean beaches are around 3 hours drive.


Toulouse Airport is 85 km and Pau 115km. Car hire is not essential because all facilities are available in Boulogne, but would be useful for excursions to the many attractions of the region.

The small town of Boulogne-sur-Gesse has 2 supermarkets and a range of small shops (chemist, bakers, butcher) as well as banks and hairdressers, etc., all within easy walking distance
