Quirky Characterful Two Bedroom Holiday Cottage In Peaceful Village Setting

Overview

Property

Updated: 21-Nov-2016
Cottage in Bramfield, Halesworth, Suffolk - 200 yard walk to award winning country pub and only 6 miles to Heritage Coast

The Annexe contains a living room, a kitchen with dining area, two bedrooms (1 king, 1 twin). Steeped in history, the property used to form part of a wagon wheel making factory, and some of the original wheel strappings are visible, as well as timber beams throughout. It has been equipped with all the conveniences of modern living (including wifi), but great care has been taken by the owners not to compromise its traditional feel.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Mr and Mrs Bartley and children, Surrey – We had an absolutely fabulous time. We loved the Annexe and everything about it. The owners have clearly given thought to every last detail, which made our stay perfect. We will definitely come again!!

J and S Rendham, Sheffield – What a beautiful cottage – so perfectly appointed – thank you so much for such a lovely holiday and at such a reasonable price.

The Oliver family, Birmingham – Your quaint cottage was just perfect for our family break. Thank you for being so flexible about our dates and requirements and for thinking of everything we could need!! Hope we can come back again next year!

A lovely, cosy property with everything we needed for a getaway break with the dog.

  • 4 of 5

We found this property to be very comfortable. Although it still retains it's original charm, the upgrading of the heating and bathroom to a high standard make it a great base for exploring the area. (Don't miss the crinkle-crankle wall opposite the church)

Great cosy cottage... Clean and tidy. Has everything you could want. Easy access to surrounding villages and beaches. Set in a Peaceful village, with Halesworth town centre just round the corner. Easy to book with great communication from Agent. Would stay again.

nice property

  • 4 of 5

A nice property that has everything you need for your self catering holiday. It is in an excellent position for visiting all the suffolk costal places. It was a shame the local pub was shut for refurbishment hopefully open soon.

A Delightful Haven

  • 5 of 5

What a super little cottage! Full of character and so well equipped. My mum and I stayed at the Annexe for 4 nights to attend a Hen gathering at Latitude Festival. We were too squeamish to camp so booked the Annexe for our stay. It was in a perfect location for us and gave us a delightful haven to escape back to! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent stay. We loved it.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage situated in the delightful small village of Bramfield with an interesting parish church. The cottage was very comfortable and tastefully appointed. We found everything we needed for two of us. There is a second bedroom, so it would also work well for a family of four. Paul and Helen had even provided helpful suggestions of places to visit nearby, where to shop for groceries, etc. Plus, there are books and games to enjoy for rainy days at home and good Wifi connection.

The next time we visit Suffolk, we plan to stay here again.

Location

From the Owner

We love this area and have been holidaying here for several years. We love the slow pace of life and the fact that you can come here in the peak summer months and not be stuck in traffic at all (like some places on the south coast!). The sea is warm(ish!) in summer and there are loads of great beaches but not overcrowded. The pubs are great too!
