About the property

Villa in Bezolles, Nr. Auch, Gers, Midi Pyrnees, France - Quiet And Relaxing For All The Family, Close To Local Amenities And Historic Bastide Towns

Our home has a quiet & open aspect, 4 spacious bedrooms (3 on the groundfloor), 2 bathrooms; the master has an en-suite. We have a modern well equipped kitchen. There is a satellite TV; if you need to keep up with events. There are 2 veranda areas for eating and relaxing. The swimming pool is 10 x 5m. The house boasts a south facing view of the local village of Bezolles and in the distance the view takes in the Pyrenees. Built in 2009 to our own design, the house was planned to be light, clean and airy. Our goal for the outside was to be traditional, but the modern methods allow the house to be cosy in spring, autumn and especially winter; yet cool & relaxing in summer. We designed the house so that all rooms come with a view. Set on a hill with a backdrop of mature cedar trees, the house is approached via a stoned drive way through the vineyards and depending on what our neighbours are growing there is often a sea of sunflowers across the rolling hills. So please come and join us.

About David & Liz Thompson

We live in England; work full time and spend most of our holidays here at the villa in France.

David & Liz Thompson purchased this house in 2009

Why David & Liz Thompson chose Bezolles

We had the house completed in 2009. We had been looking for the perfect house in the perfect location for almost 3 years. We had found one element but never the other. Then someone suggest we build our own.

We found the land because we new the area and had fallen in love with the rolling hills and the spectacular views of vineyards and sunflowers. The important thing that we wanted to do was make sure that the house had a very traditional feel. At the same time because of the more modern methods of construction we were able to ensure that the feel of the house was light and airy.

What makes this house unique

The property is set in 5000sqm of land and with a heated swimming pool, if you want a quiet relaxing time for you and your family then you do not have to leave the house. But if you want to do more then locally we have everything from golf to swimming lakes; from restaurants to markets; from bastide towns to glorious sunflower fields.

Please enjoy our home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coteau de Peres - it's a lovely villa with stunning views! The weather was very kind to us and most of us made good use of the pool (the exception being son number 3 who had to have an emergency appendectomy 6 days before the holiday which meant he had to rest with no water contact!!) Still he enjoyed the Olympics on the widescreen TV and his mum spolit him rotten!!

Couldn't fault the facilities in the villa - one of the best fitted and most comfortable we have stayed in and this is year 9 of doing 2 villas every summer. (Guest Aug 2012).

Thank you for the welcoming wine and perfectly equipped house. We had everything we needed and the pool was a godsend as it was very hot every day. (Guest July 2013)

Outside: Although the en-suite bedroom is up stairs in the tower, all the other bedrooms are on the ground floor. The house is tiled through out and is easy to move around. Note also that Bedroom 1 is a twin with mechanically operated beds. There are two covered patios for relaxing and dining. The garden is approx half an acre and has a lawn at the front of the house. There is also a further half an acre of land. The pool is 10m x 5m so is large enough to swim, relax or play in; there is a paved and lawn area to relax by, covered either by a parasol or the gazebo. The views are of rolling hills (the area is known as the French Tuscany) and in the distance on a clear day you can see the Pyrenees, still snow capped throughout the summer. As well as the swimming pool there is plenty of space to play football, badminton or boules or anything you want. We have this equipment already there for you. There is enough room to park three cars next to the house; but there is enough land for any extra. Utility Room: The utility room has more cupboard space and is where we have the washing machine for you to do your own laundry if you wish. The microwave is in here too. You will also find all the indoor and outdoor games here. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are provided. If you would like these changing often this can be arranged for a small extra charge. The house and pool are cleaned and attended to every week and you will be advised when this will occur. Other: The living room also has a sofa bed. The hall is large spacious and welcoming.

Relaxing family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic family stay at Coteau de Peres, our second in 2 consecutive years. The free WiFi catered well for our 2 teenagers and the peace, quiet and beautiful views catered for the 2 adults.

The property is beautifully clean and well maintained and has everything you need for a family holiday. The location is perfect for us with small villages and towns within easy reach. Liz and Dave keep a file in the property which is full of ideas and recommendations for places to go and restaurants to eat in. We have tried many of them and they are all excellent.

The pool is always warm and the view you have whilst swimming and sunbathing is spectacular. There is plenty of space around the outside of the property and inside all the rooms are spacious with comfy beds and sofas.

A highly recommended property which we hope to return to on many more occasions.

Stunning location, fabulous facilities!

  • 5 of 5

Located on the edge of the sleepy village of Bezolles, the property sits in extensive grounds with stunning views of the Pyrenees. The rural setting provides a complete escape and makes for an extremely relaxing holiday.

The property is finished to a very high standard, with extensive space indoors and outside. The kitchen is well-equipped and spacious and there are even recipe books on hand! The outdoor pool is a good size and very clean. Thanks to its elevated position, it is very private too.

There are beautiful small towns to explore in the locality providing a fabulous experience of this unspoilt region, which is thankfully off the beaten track for most tourists.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to any family or group seeking a taste of the real France!

Beds, England

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant holiday at this property. The house was clean, tidy and very well organised. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable as was the living room furniture, not that we spent much time sitting in the living room, as one of the best features of this house are the amazing views that can be seen from the veranda. The swimming pool was great, there were plenty of loungers.

The location was good, peaceful but only about a 10 minute easy drive to a supermarket. We have been to this area many times and always find plenty to see and do and there are numerous good restaurants a short drive away.

This is a great house in a great location and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Had a lovely week with teenage son and daughter, amazing weather so really made use of and enjoyed the pool. House in the middle of countryside surrounded by vineyards and fields of sunflowers. Not sure if we were meant to feed the visiting cats. Well equipped and lacking nothing (except perhaps a teapot!) Walked to local ruined castle and visited night markets, day markets, brocante markets, tasted Floc and Armagnac, ate plenty of duck and went to a 'course Landaise (bullfighting with cows but no bloodshed) in Aignan. Children not too bored by being dragged round beautiful churches ending up at Condom. Easy journey to Agen by Eurostar and TGV with a change in Paris, one stop at Bordeaux and then we were there. Car hire across the road from the station and then 1 hours drive to the house with supermarket en route.

Immaculate property with stunning views and a perfect pool.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property and the area.

The pool temperature was ideal with the cover insulating the heat inside so that on cooler days it was still warm.

Well equipped house , quiet area and good local shops within a 10 minute drive.

We would recommend the property to others.
