Villa in Alicante - Peaceful Country Mountain Location, 10 Mins to Beach, 5 Mins To Town, 10 Mins To Airport

Situated in the foothills of Mount Maigmol behind Alicante this huge 5 bedroom villa has spectacular views across the countryside to the sea. It is a quiet and peaceful location with easy and quick access to the local town (San Vicente del Raspeig), and a 10 minute drive to Alicante airport and to El Campello beach.

The villa is not overlooked by neighbours and there is a large park area where children can play and run around. There is a park area with swings, a climbing frame and a full size basketball net. There is a shaded seating area in the park for anyone wanting to sit and watch the fun. 2 other large garden areas and a huge patio area with a pool right outside the front door will make this villa very popular with families and those who like to live quietly but near to amenities.

There are plenty of DVDs, toys and books for the children (and adults) to make use of if they fancy playing/reading inside in the cool. There are sit on push along baby bikes for the very young to play with on the patio, as well as new inflatables for the pool purchased at the beginning of each season. There is a brand new Swingball tennis set to play on the patio.

In preparing for the 2016 season there are two new flat screen televisions in each of the Lounge areas. New orthopaedic mattresses have been purchased for all single beds and WiFi has been installed. This wifi is on an individual hi speed router and is not a 'communuty' one which are usually much slower with limited service. . All airco units have been serviced and are in tip top condition. Every bedroom has both an airco and a ceiling fan. There is a blue tooth speaker system in the Lounge area so you can listen to your music as and when you choose.

You will need a hire car when staying at the villa, and those who have bought a satnav have found them very useful.

About Shirley

The villa was our family home for 7 years. It is ideally located in tranquil surroundings whilst being very near to the beaches and tourist resorts of the Costa.

We have been letting out the villa since 2010 and have had some lovely people as holiday tenants. We only accept family bookings as we are keen to make sure our home is well looked after.

Shirley purchased this villa in 2002

Why Shirley chose Alicante Area

One of the main reasons we chose this location was its close proximity to Alicante airport. Just a 10 minute drive away makes it very easy to take quick trips back to the UK or pick up relatives and friends arriving for holidays.We loved the villa because it was so big compared to houses in England, it has a pool right outside the front door, and has lots of space for our 3 boys to run around and play. It is also very safe and secure being walled and gated. The area itself is very safe with no crime and the villa is situated in a small quiet hamlet just outside of the large town of San Vicente del Raspeig. It is a 5 minute drive away from the shops, bars and cafes. The villa also has easy motorway access to Benidorm, Elche, Torrevieja, Denia, Javea, and Moraira. All places worth a visit.

What makes this villa unique

We find that the villa offers the perfect combination of being in the peace and quiet of 'real Spain' whilst being only a short drive away from towns, beaches and tourist areas. Our children love the beach and we spend most of our holidays down at El Campello or San Juan - a 10 minute drive away on the new AP7 motorway. The villa is great for entertaining outside or having impromptu parties as there is plenty of space for tables and chairs right outside the front door making getting in and out to the kitchen very easy. Similarly the pool is ideal for those with children as adults can sit and relax by the pool or under the shade and still have a full view of what the children are up to.

The park areas gives the kids something else to do on an evening when we are relaxing at home. There is a full size professional basketball net. a climbing frame and swing set plus a brand new 2.5m trampoline.

We have just got home. We have had a really good time and really enjoyed the use of your villa. Its in a fantastic location with beautiful surroundings as you know. The kids really enjoyed having the toys to play with and the DVDs, (Nanny Mcphee especially) were a great hit with them. Say a big thanks to your Dad as well - he was a great help. We used the taxis to get around and found one we used all week. I've left his card and tel no on the noticeboard.

Notes on accommodation: Tenants are expected to leave the villa and grounds in a good and tidy condition. All towels must be washed and dried. Additional bedding and blankets (if used) must also be washed and dried. Tenants are asked NOT to take cushions from the sofa, or bedrooms to use around the swimming pool. No smoking in the villa. All butts outside to be collected and binned by tenants. Tenants are expected to have personal health and accident insurance for the length of their stay. Failure to comply with the above could result in the loss of some deposit. Outside: Outside the front by the pool there are 4 recliners. There is a table and 4 chairs in the shaded area plus 2 extra tables and 4 chairs that can be moved as required.There are 2 small BBq's in the pantry. The property has 3 huge garden areas with plants/flowers/lemon trees. There is a park area with climbing frame and swings for kids to play plus BMX bikes in the garage. There is parking for more than 6-8 cars. This area can be used by kids for playing. Utility Room: English washing machine. Sink area. Iron and ironing board. Washing line outside. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels, linens, bedding etc is provided. Towels (if used) must be washed and dried before leaving. There is a 85 euro charge for cleaning. Extra cleaning during stay can be arranged at additional cost.

Certainly a property to recommend to families

Excellent facilities, good location. property well furnished and included many extras. The swimming pool was greatly appreciated by all members of the party.plenty of outdoor seating and several shaded areas for when the day was at it's hottest.

Air conditioning was a real blessing.

It was lovely to stay in a property where we felt at home.

Pre visit information and details of local ammenities was appreciated.

We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday

great holiday home; lovely location

My family had a fantStic holiday in this villa . So peaceful and in a beatuful setting with the mountains behind. It was the perfect holiday for our family to relax. The villa itself is huge, and very well kept. No.complaints whatsoever. When we were not out on day trips up and down the coast, we spent all of our time on the patio or in the pool.

We'd recommemd for all ages and all types of groups.

Great villa great people

Myself and a few of my friends rented this villa for a week not so long ago and just did not want to leave. It was everything we were hoping it to be and more: amazing private pool, spectacular view, nice garden and lots of space inside and out. The villa was clean and had everything we could need so it felt like home straight away. It is not right on the coast but it does not take long to get to any of the beaches.

I would recommend climbing to the top of the higher peak behind the house for sunset, with a bottle of chilled wine and good company, its not too steep and it only takes 15 mins, but definitely worth the hike.

In terms of reservations, deposits and so on, we had a very good service Shirley and Bill are amazing.

We think it is ideally located, spacious and has everything you could want for a family holiday, but it is nice to hear that our tenants think so too!! We always try and make sure that you have everything you need both before, and during your holiday. I answer emails/calls the same day and whilst in Spain my Father pops round to do the initial 'tour' of the villa and to answer any questions you may have. I love the idea of taking a bottle of wine up the mountainside behind the villa - now the kids are older we may just try this on our next visit!!

Fab fab fab!

My family and I stayed at this villa June 2013, it really is a beautiful villa with stunning views. I was surprised just how big it was for the money we spent, it's like something a film star would have, especially with the guitar in the pool!! ; )

I thoroughly recommend this place for families, there's lots to do with the lovely pool, play area, lots of land, DVDs with extra lounge area for kids. It's big enough for 2-3 families to stay in and I will be returning with friends next year. You really will not be disappointed, you've for the seclusion and privacy of the villa and pool but in a short drive you can get to the beach very easily. Can't wait to go back!

I love the comment about the film star pool - that's what you get for having a lead guitarist for a husband! :) We think the villa is very spacious - the rooms are much larger that what we are used to in the UK - and we have lots of toys, games and books for both children and adults - just in case you get bored with splashing around in the pool, or playing in the park area :) We would love to have you back next year.. Booking Notes:
£100 per week deposit must be paid up front when booking. This can be paid direct into bank account or through BACS (UK Bank Account). The rest will be paid 6 weeks prior to holiday in the same way. Bookings will usually run from Friday to Friday in peak periods. There is a refundable security deposit required of £350. This is refunded within a few days of your return, direct to your account. There is a cleaning fee of £85 payable prior to departure

Changeover day is on a Friday. All bookings run from Friday to Friday.

There will be a £90 cleaning charge after each visit.

Due to a large increase in utility bills in Spain there will be an additional charge of £100 per week per person for groups over 8 persons.

Average use of electricity (for air co) and water included in price. Excessive usage is not covered and will be taken from security deposit. Readings taken before and after tenancy.
