Chalet Apartment Cedar in Sainte Foy, French Alps - Mountain Resort, Less than 5 Minutes Walk to the Main Village and Chair Lift

Located in Sainte Foy station with magnificent views of Mount Pourri this 1st floor self catering apartment comfortably sleeps 6 and offers every home from home luxury.

The location of the apartment is (looking up the mountain) to the left of the resort, just through the tunnel. The walk up to the bottom of the nursery slopes (chair lift) from the chalet takes approx 5 minutes (or less), & you can ski back in literally bang across from the door. There is a free shuttle bus that literally just goes back & forth every morning to the bottom of the nursery slope, which only takes a minute but the kids do usually like to jump on it when its passing & sometimes save the effort of the short walk.

The apartment itself is on the first floor of a small block, with plentiful space for up to 6 & comprises off:

• Spacious entrance hall, with storage cupboards & boiler etc.

• Family bedroom off with twin beds & bunk beds, bedside table & lamp, built in wardrobe & shelving, carpeted, under floor heating with thermostat control

• Open plan living/dining/cooking space lounge area with Hi-fi, Large TV with freeview (English) channels, DVD player, leather sofa & armchair, oversized footstool, wooden flooring with large rugs, under floor heating with thermostatic control, thermostatically controlled radiator & log burner.

French Windows & small balcony off the Kitchen, looks over to the newly built chalets across the road & the bottom of the ski slope (Retour La Bataillettettaz) French window opening to balcony with views over to Mount Puri & La Rossiere & Les Arcs

Stairs up to mezzanine/galleried master bedroom with kingsize double bed, luxurious mattress, built in his & hers bedhead/wardrobe storage, extra hanging rail & small sofa, blinded windows to roadside & open windows to the far side with views over Mount Puri.

Dining/kitchen with six seater dining table (4 high backed suede chairs/2 folding chairs), electric oven & halogen hob, stainless steel chimney hood & extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer, dish washer, kettle, toaster, plentiful crockery etc.

Living the dream!

Superb property with plenty of room for everyone. Located just down the hill from the main resort but free shuttle bus takes the effort out of the walk up the hill if you have your skis. Sainte Foy is a small village with plenty of character. The skiing is good for all levels and there is some great off piste available for the more adventurous skiers. There are a selection of places to eat with some great regional dishes available. Black Diamond is a must when they have Mullit playing on the outside deck - dancing on the tables is positively encouraged! I will certainly be back next year.

Beautiful, warm - great location

We spent Christmas here this year and had such an amazing time. Sainte Foy is a great ski resort and this chalet is in a perfect location to make the most of it. Beautiful apartment, perfect location and an awesome view. Handy bus that stops right outside (whist only a few minutes uphill walk to the chairlift - any help is appreciated when carrying ski equipment!).

Really warm and cosy with great under floor heating and a log burner. Property was spotlessly clean and had great facilities and a spectacular mezzanine bedroom.

The only slight criticism we had is that the shower isn't that great, but other than that everything else was perfect. Highly recommended for families.

Really lovely accommodation

I stayed in this chalet with my husband and teenage son, we found the apartment just perfect for our needs.its a very short walk to the ski lifts however

if you can't be bothered to walk a free shuttle bus stops outside with a really helpful bus driver! The chalet has a ski run which leads directly to the front door. The apartment is very bright with fantastic views down the valley and a really cosy log fire which we really appreciated there is a TV with all the British channels which was so handy as the Winter Olympics were on when we there. The double bed was so comfortable ( I often have difficulties with soft mattresses) and the apartment was very clean and warm. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. The ONLY negative point is the shower isn't very forceful but it does have a great bath for soaking in!

3rd time in Saint Foy en Tarentaise

We returned to this apartment for our 3rd year in a row, this year. We were very happy with it on the previous 2 occasions and were not disappointed this year either.

We have 4 young children and the resort is ideal for us.

The location of the apartment is great and it is equipped with all the necessary ammenities.

The masterbed is incredibly comfortable which is greatly appreciated after a day of skiing.

I would have no hesitation recommending this apartment.

Chambery Airport 1.5 hours, Grenoble 2 hours, Geneva 2 hours.

By road : Motorway A 43 Lyon / Albertville.

Main road N 90 Bourg-Saint-Maurice.


Approximately 10 minutes drive to Les Arc and La Plagne: 20 minutes drive to Tignes, Val D'isere and Bourg St Maurice. 30 minutes drive to La Rossiere.

There is a large Supermarket on the outskirts of Bourg St Maurice that is easy travelling distance.

Further Details:

There is a god choice of bars & eateries in the village but the apartment is extrememly well equiped for you to cater for yourselves for the duration of your stay. The resort has 2 supermarkets that are reasonably stocked & priced.

  • Notes on accommodation: This galleried duplex apartment is not just "ski accommodation" it offers luxurious but easy comfy space to totally relax at the end of a day's skiing. Quality mattresses & bed linens ensure a fantastic nights sleep. Outside: Free parking is readily avaialble in the public car park on the corner near the apartment, or free unrestricted parking is available on the street outside. There is an entrance lobby with a bench which can be used as a boot room although this is an unsecure room so we recommend that you use this for convenience to put/remove your boots only not for storage of ski equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen supplied, weekly maid service.
