Overlooking Penoncillo beach, these two apartments are situated with “Alto Rey” being directly above “Casa Reina” and they exclusively share a single set of entrance steps from the adjacent off road parking to the rear of the properties.

Each apartment is comfortably furnished for four guests. Accommodation comprises of two bedrooms (both with en-suite facilities), a fully fitted and equipped kitchen. The lounge/diner leads onto a large south facing sun terrace with patio table and chairs, sun loungers, parasol, brick BBQ and views to the Mediterranean.

The bedrooms and lounge/dinner each have ceiling fans and metered A/C (heating and cooling) for the convenience of guests. Both apartments enjoy free wireless internet connectivity, TV with a freeview box (providing many UK, Spanish and German channels), and an AV receiver for use with DVD's and CD's.

The master bedroom in each apartment has a security safe for the storage personal items.

The apartments are cleaned prior to the arrival of all guests and fresh bed linen and towels are provided for use within the apartment. In each bathroom you will also find a small bar of soap, a sachet of shower gel and shampoo. Tea towels and oven gloves are provided for use in the kitchen along with a small supply of tea, coffee and sugar, soap powder, fabric conditioner and dish washer tabs.

We regret that we are unable to accept pets and No Smoking is permitted within either apartment.

Lounge/diner, two sofas, dining table & 6 chairs, coffee table, books & entertainment equipment. Double doors lead onto the terrace.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service

Cleaned for the arrival of each guest, fresh towels, bed linen, tea towels & oven gloves are provided.

The nearest beach, Penoncillo, is a 5 minute walk away from the apartments through the communal gardens. Where the nearest bars and restaurants are to be found, whilst on the other side of the road there is a small restaurant with a chalk board outside, opposite the camping site, where many of the locals eat and the food is interesting and inexpensive.

In Nerja there are 3 more lovely beaches, including the famous Burriana Beach, and these are approximately a 15/20 minute drive away.

Most beaches in this area have cold water showers freely available.


Malaga is the closest airport about 66 kms or a 45 minute drive away and a car will certainly enhance your stay in either apartment. At the airport car hire is available, as well as a convenient and frequent train to the central bus terminal in Malaga linking with the coastal bus to Nerja operated by ALSA, passing Torrox Beach Club. The nearest bus stop is about 300 metres from the apartments, or you can get off at Torrox Costa, and get a taxi from the rank is next to the bus stop, approximately €8.00.


Torrox Costa is about a 3 minute drive away, whilst Nerja is about a 8 minute drive. Both journeys may also be completed by the frequent ALSA bus service.

The caves in Nerja are certainly worth a visit, as too the old Moorish village of Frigliana which is about a 20 minute drive away. Both the caves and Frigliana can be reached by bus changing in Nerja.

Malaga itself is also worth a visit, as too is Granada with the spectacular Alhambra Place, approximately an hour's drive, along the recently completed motorway.

During the winter months skiing is available at the Sierra Nevada resort of Sol-y-Nieve, which is about an hour and a half away for the most part along the same motorway as for Granada.

Along the coast road N340 there is an attractive marina, Marina del Este, which is a lovely place to have lunch and from where sailing and scuba diving are both available. It is past Nerja, about 28 kilometres away and takes about 45 minutes avoiding the motorway.

Baviera Golf is the closest golf club about 14 kilometres back along the motorway towards Malaga at Caleta de Velez, you may have noticed the course on the right hand side of the motorway, as you drove along it to the apartments.

Further Details:

Torrox Costa and Nerja both have a full range of shops, restaurants, weekly markets and banks with plenty of parking.

The following activities are also available locally, golf, scuba diving, horse riding, hiking, sailing and cycle hire.

Reservations can be made by e-mail (details below) and your provisional booking will be acknowledged by email. To confirm your reservation a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental price is requested by return of post, details will be provided with acknowledgement.

Our local agent requires a booking form to be completed providing them with your details to comply with local by-laws.

The balance is due not less than 6 weeks before occupation.

Changeover Day:
The preferred changeover day is Saturday but outside the main holiday periods there could be greater flexibility. Arrival time is not before 1600 hours with a departure time of 1000 hours. Any concerns please ask with your initial enquiry.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the apartment per week in UK Pounds. Outside the main holiday periods split weeks or long weekends are available. There are discounts for long winter lets and late availability offers may apply..
At the time of booking 25% deposit is required, the balance is due 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday and payments can be in pounds or euro's by electronic transfer.

  • Notes on accommodation: Access to the apartment is from the Comunidad road running to the rear, where there are adjacent off road parking spaces. The ceiling fans are of great benefit in the summer months; with windows open a cooling breeze may be created throughout. The centrally metered A/C units(which take a 1€ coin for 2.5 hours of power) in the living room & each bedroom will heat or cool, useful in both winter and summer. When the A/C is in use please do not have the exterior doors & windows open. There is a clothes airier in the utility area for drying laundry along with a small retractable washing line on the terrace. Outside: The communal gardens are well maintained & there for all to enjoy. There is a parking by the communal pool, which is only available for the Comunidad. Toilets & showers, sun loungers & parasols are within the gated/ garden surrounding area. The access key is to be found in the apartment. On the beach there are sun loungers & parasols provided by the local restaurants & cold water showers.
