Beautiful villa with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

Lazy Dayz is a beautifully presented villa with spectacular views over the bay. Booking was easy with regular communication with Annie in the UK regarding payment. Sara was based in Yalikavak and speaks fluent Turkish and could help with absolutely everything, a real asset. We hired a car which meant that trips to Bodrum and Ephesus were possible, and only a short drive into Yalikavak for supermarkets and a wonderful selection of restaurants. With lots of negative press about travelling to Turkey we obviously kept up to date with the news but did not encounter any problems. The local people were friendly and helpful and Turkey offers better value for money than much of Europe. A super place to stay.

Lovely villa, fantastic holiday!

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth year in Yalikavak, and our third at Lazy Dayz, so I guess this already tells its own story. The Bodrum Peninsula is a wonderfully relaxed and pretty part of Southern Turkey, and Yalikavak and its surrounds epitomise this. We had another great holiday, very much helped by the villa, its facilities and, of course, its unrivalled fantastic views.

The locals in the area are incredibly warm and friendly and, with the range of eating out options available, it's a good base to explore or just to relax. Equally, for eating in, the range of supermarkets is excellent.

Turkish breakfasts are a must and a boat trip is very much worthwhile. This time we also had a couple of fantastic days at a hotel 'beach club' in Gundogan. We do love the jetties!

It is our intention to return to the Peninsula again and we would highly recommend Lazy Dayz for families wanting a relaxing getaway in a safe and easy place to access, but without the over-commercialisation sometimes seen in other resorts. We love the area for its "Turkishness" and often you'll go days without hearing another English voice.

It's also worth finishing by mentioning the wonderful service that Sara provides with the villa - nor problem is too small and this adds a great level of reassurance.

We had a fantastic three weeks at Lazy Dayz villa - the views are stunning and the villa is very well equipped. Top quality fixture and fitting and gorgeous bathrooms. The service during booking with Annie and when we arrived by Sara was second to none. Sara was on the end of the phone for our entire stay and nothing was too much trouble. We'd recommend using Annie's company for booking your villa - for peace of mind and security when making payments AND excellent customer service.

Clean, spacious and well maintained villa

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Lazy Dayz villa in Yalikavik. It was spacious, modern and well set up for families with young children. The different levels offered some privacy and lots of shade (and sun if you wanted it!). The villa itself was well maintained and the villa manager was extremely helpful whenever we needed assistance.

This is the perfect villa for a trip where you just want to lounge by the pool and relax. The only draw back is that it is not walking distance to local shops/restaurants especially if you have small children. We ended up needing to take minibuses whenever we left to allow for space for multiple adults and car seats. A rental car (or multiple rental cars) is suggested.

A lovely villa

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time at Lazy Dayz. The house is lovely as is the pool. Great views over Yalikavak from all the bedrooms and the multiple decks and balconies. Sara the villa manager was lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. I'd definitely recommend to any and all. Thank you!

Ah those wonderful views!

  • 5 of 5

Ah those wonderful views across the Aegean towards the marina and beyond. Or in the early evening, when the sky turns from yellow to orange and then finally to a crimson glow before night falls and the lights start to sparkle around the bay - a regular treat from the various balconies of this villa. Set on three levels, the villa was clean, spacious and well equipped to accommodate three couples or a large family comfortably.

The local town of Yalikavak is just a short drive away or perhaps take the dolmus, which passes along the road just outside the villa every 30 minutes. There you will find some great bars, shops and restaurants, whether it be traditional charm of the old town and harbour or opulent sophistication of the new marina, it's all there.

This year we made a new friend, Captain Izzet Tepe, who took us out on his gullet, Ispita. A great day out for the family, swimming, snorkelling and diving into the clear blue waters of the Aegean. But above all, this guy makes the best kofte (meatballs) we've ever tasted. Thanks Izzet!

Thanks also to Sara, for being more than just the local villa manager but always there for any help and advice during our stay. And last but not least, thanks to Annie and the team at Peninsula Villa Care, who never fail to find us the perfect villa.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

There is a small rock/pebble beach at the bottom of the site, ideal for snorkling and swimming. The main beach of Yalikavak is about 10 mins drive away. The quaint village of Gumusluk is about 15 minutes drive in the other direction, with an amazing sandy cove, "rabbit island" accessable at low tide - and several waterside fish restaurants

Bodrum airport is about a 45 minutes drive away. We do recommend car-hire when staying at the villa. Airport transfers are available at a cost of £55 each way for up to 4 passengers and £8 per passanger thereafter.

Yalikavak is 5-8 mins drive away.
