Villa in Alvor, Western Algarve, Portugal - Peaceful Location, 5 Min from the Beach and Village Center

Villa Isabel was designed as a second home for its owners. It has a lovely garden, is fully equipped and has a wonderful terrace on the 3rd floor with good sea views. The villa is in walking distance to the sea and to Alvor centre. Alvor is a quaint fishing village setup in a lovely scenery with a long shady beach and the quietness and protection of the fresh water Ria. There are scenic and Eco pathways through the Ria which allow leisure walks.

Fabulous property, perfect location!

Spent 2 weeks in this beautiful property. First time in Alvor....... Certainly won't be our last as we loved it!! The villa is much bigger than we thought and the photos don't really do it justice. Everything has been provided that you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. Situated a 5 minute walk from the beach with a sea view from the roof top terrace. All arrangements and queries were handled promptly and politely by Isabel & Pedro. The housekeeper and her husband keep the property in immaculate condition indoors and outdoors. 5 minute walk to the marina or the town centre so no need for taxis apart from the day we went to Portimao. The only improvements we would suggest is another couple of sun loungers and a small table and chairs for the roof terrace as we enjoyed a few drinks and snacks in the evening while enjoying the last of the sunshine. Will definitely return to Alvor and to no. 14.

Wonderful view Great Location

This was our 5th year to holiday at Alvor our 3rd year at Vila Isabel,clean and spacious everything that you need for a great holiday,wonderful view from the roof terrace ,a few minutes walk to the wonderful beach and round the corner to the wonderful harbour and restraunts. The owners Isabel and Pedro are very helpful .we would highly recommend this property,and will be using it again

Stunning villa in great central location

We are an Irish family with 3 small children and we found the house exceeded all expectations.The decor is beautiful very stylish but also homely loads of space fantastic master bedroom and balcony with sea view. The location is

perfect 5 mins walk to both beach and

town centre. Sea views ,lovely safe

enclosed garden and outdoor dining

area.We went to dunas to use pool there

2 days for small fee 2 min walk also.

There were hundreds of dvd's and the sat

TV had some English film channels ,good when u have kids as u get back that bit


and Pedro were very nice to deal with and for those that haven't been before Alvor is a great destination charming town and

spectacular beaches, estuary,breathtaking scenery.thanks to Isabel and Pedro sharing their home from home.

Fantastic accommodation!

We stayed here early this summer with our 2 small children. The villa was fantastic, really comfortable, clean and spacious (good night's sleep in comfy beds). Kitchen was well-equipped for eating-in (which we had to do a lot of!), but if you want to get out it's within easy walking distance of all the amenities of Alvor. The outside space was wonderful, with the garden and different balconies/terrace there was always somewhere with sun or shade depending on your preference; and well-enclosed for the kids. The location was perfect, just between the town and the beach (5 mins walk, 10 with slow children) easy to reach everything but nice, quiet neighbourhood, and you have great views from the roof terrace.

Good communication from Pedro and Isabel, very accommodating.

Would absolutely recommend this property; the best holiday accommodation we have had, would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic location

Hi thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us , as its is just off the beach it was perfect for an early morning dip . We found your home fantastic with everything there that anyone could want .very clean and comfortable with no hassles or pressure on arrival or leaving very simple to deal with and so helpful in everything . Just a short stroll and your in the heart of alvor with all the wonderful restaurants and bars, highly recommend you visit the steakhouse and marafados wonderful as for bars diceys reillys was fantastic fun with great music by Jason and Garth , and the sports bar with Louis and Nelson was always entertaining from early evening till the early hours a highly recommended place to go ,to stay and to be enjoyed well worth a visit . From the Owner

This property was constructed directly by us and decorated as a summer villa to be used by the family. All the materials and details were picked directly by us. We love this village because it still retains the charm of an old fishing port but has enough modern amenities. The place is extremely beautiful with a very alrge sandy beach.

Special interest holidays:

There is an aerodrome closeby with several air-like activities. Cruises are possible from Alvor or Portimao or Lagos. There is an outstanding public swiming pool, 300m from the villa, with a 25m long indoor 25m.


There are two golf courses within 10 min drive. The World famous Penina and Alto Golf.


Villa on the first line towards the beach - 5 min walking. Alvor is an old charming fishing village with a white sandy beach with around 4km. Alvor has a natural harbour and the beach is situated between the sea and the river which forms a natural bay that harbours many boats. The villa is close to the village center and main restaurant and bars area. The villa is kept by a gardener and cleaning staff. Cleaning will be done once per week.


Faro airport is the closest at around 60 km. Rental car and taxi services are readily available. Possible to come by train from Lisbon - the trip takes around 2.5 hours.


Alvor is situated between Portimao - 10 km and Lagos around 20 km.

Further Details:

There are many good restaurants focusing mainly on seafood. All facilities close by, namely supermarkets and restaurants. Scuba diving and boat tours are readily available. Close to the village, there is also a small airport that caters for fans of skydiving.

The property is frequently used also by the owner's family and friends and is a well loved second home. If you choose to holiday here please remember to treat it as you would your own home.
Guests are responsible for their own travel insurance. The owners are not responsible for any injury or damage to guests or their belongings during their stay. Please remember to close windows and doors to avoid any possible thefts.

Changeover Day:
Arrivals are in principle on Saturdays after 14:00 and departures also on Saturday until 12:00.

Notes on prices:
Prices can be given for daily rates throughout the year. Also longer term rentals may be an option throughout the year at various times and discounts may be possible for longer periods.
Last minute bookings - full amount payable has to be paid in full as per owners information.
For any other information about the suitability of the property for ages etc. please email the owners.

For a reservation we require 20% upfront payment (non-refundable). The remainder is to be paid no later than 2 weeks from the rental period. Payments should be done by bank transfer. Internet is paid separately with a fee of €2/day - This allows 24/7 internet (60MB) without any restrictions.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
