We offer a deluxe 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom / 3 toilet apartment in Village Marina, Olhao, Eastern Algarve, next to the 5 star ‘Real Marina’ hotel (WIFI, spa and gym available). Our apartment looks out over the waterfront and marina and is only a few minutes’ walk from the old town, the famous fish/vegetable markets and the ferries out to the Islands of Armona, Culatra, and Farol, known for their miles of seemingly endless white sandy beaches. Situated only 16km east of Faro airport it is a very short drive to your holiday home. The spacious well-appointed accommodation is fitted out to an exceptionally high standard throughout, including DVD, satellite TV (English language channels), washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and central vacuming system. Enjoy lounging on the large west facing terrace while watching the sun go down over Faro. The roof-top pool area offers uninterrupted sunshine along with social and leisure spaces which enjoy amazing views of the Reserva Natural da Ria Formosa.

About Mr David and Mrs Glenys Bows

David and Glenys-We live in Dorset and have two grown up daughters; Lucy lives in Bristol with her boyfriend Lee and Clare owns her own home nearby. We love the Algarve and particularly the Olhao area. We still both work full-time and as you get older it is nice to know that you can when you like and get away from the cold English winter weather. We think of it as an investment for us and for our family.

Why Mr David and Mrs Glenys Bows chose Olhao region

We saw the site for the development in April 2008 and fell in love with the area and decided to buy. What we liked about it was that it was close to the town, the marina and an exciting boat ride out to the beautiful islands. Glenys: "I saw the area from an airplane the first time we went on holiday to the Algarve and fell in love with it's natural beauty."

What makes this apartment unique

We like the size of the apartment and the fact that you can lounge on the large terrace and enjoy watching the sun set over Faro-whilst enjoying a glass or two of wine. You can walk into the town within a few minutes and in the evening enjoy a gentle stroll along by the waterfront. We have chosen our quality furniture and fittings with care and hope that our guests enjoy them too!

Thank you - I have to say we had an absolutely fabulous holiday. Your apartment surpassed our expectations. It's finished to a very high standard, and very well equipped. It delivers all that it promises on the website and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. You seem to have thought of everything! We particularly appreciated the cool bags and chill blocks.

Olhao itself was a revelation. We ate in a different restaurant every night and didn't have one poor meal. Even my kids, who aren't big seafood lovers, came home converted to clams and prawns. The produce on sale in the markets and local bakeries was the best I have come across, and the locals couldn't have been more obliging.

It was one the most enjoyable holidays I have ever had, and I certainly hope to return to Olhao. Thank you again for the use of your apartment.

An amazing apartment with everything you need for a home from home stay.

Apartment and all equipment was of a high standard and Glenys' contact with details of apartment was very helpful.

We have stayed at Marina residence many times before but this apartment has the best views from the pool.

Our apartment block does have fabulous views from the roof top and our apartment balcony is an ideal place to sit and watch the sun going down ant the end of a lovely day. We try and make our apartment as comfortable as possible and try to anticipate the holiday makers needs. We supply many items to make the holiday as relaxing as possible from providing pool towels to smaller thing such as cool bags and blocks for those necessary beach outings.

There are many extras in the apartment which go to make your holiday home a great choice when booking your holiday. Our large corner balcony is an amazing place to sit and have a relaxing breakfast and we even supply a pair of binoculars to watch the flamingos and other birds on the Ria Formosa.

Fantastic apartment and location in the amazing Ria Formosa

Having breakfast on the balcony watching the flamingoes circling over the marshes in front of you is something else. At high tide the mud flats and marsh are covered but at low tide a whole different world comes to life. Cranes, storks and many wading birds are busy feeding. The local fisherman and women are busy harvesting the cockles and razor clams.

We loved taking the frequent ferries out to the islands. Loved Culatra and Farol. Came back on the last ferry as the sun was setting. You can always get a water taxi back if you miss the last ferry.

Olhao has its own charm. It's a relaxed place with delicious restaurants at reasonable prices. The old town is interesting to explore.

We didn't have a car and were able to walk to ferries or the train station to go further exploring.

The best thing we did was the Dolphin Watching out at sea.

The children loved the roof top pool and used it every day. The apartment was well equipped and spacious and we felt at home staying here.

Our apartment is a lovely corner apartment with a large balcony with beautiful views across the bay and because we are situated right on the seafront you have just a short walk to many ameneties; a childs play area, coffee shops, shops, restaurants and bars. The area of Olhão has so much to offer, it is a haven for birds and walkers and If you want to get out to the beautiful islands you can catch a cattamaran from just across the road or by going a little further to the public ferry terminal. Boat trips, dolphin watching, bike hire are all available to book just across the road. Children love the roof top pool which makes a lovely end to the day. We take great care making sure our clients needs are catered for. We offer many little extras in our apartment just to make your stay clients have a wonderful holiday when choosing our apartment.

Absolutely Fab

We recently returned from a week in Olhao, based on the recommendation of some friends. The choice of the accommodation was brilliant. For us the benefit is the ideal location. Only 20 mins from the airport and easy to reach by both car or taxi. Good parking.

You are then central to explore Portugal and some of its beautiful islands.

The apartment was very spacious and decorated/furnished to a high standard. We have always stayed previously in the 5 * Sao Rafeal Hotel but found this apartment even better than that. The owners are very accomodating and cater for all you requirements. Their attention to detail in the apartment is spot on, from the crisp white linen sheets, soft towels to all the essentials for a great picnic on the beach.

The view from the apartment overlooks the sea, has a beautiful sunset and nature reserve opposite.

Would highly recommend the apartment and would definitely return.

Excellent apartment

We have just returned from a long weekend in this apartment and had a great time. Olhao is fantastic and we can't wait for our next visit. Included in your holiday is £25.00 worth of electricity per week (£50.00 from 16th July - 2nd September 2016) any electricity used over this amount will be charged at £0.25 per KW unit and will come out of your Security Deposit. We do supply pool towels but request that you wash them before you leave-if the pool towels are found unwashed the charge levied is £2.80 per Kilo. This is a strictly no smoking apartment.

Air-conditioning and heating available in bedrooms & lounge area, however electricity is subject to a 'Reasonable Usage' clause (written in Terms & Conditions) when the inclusive of £25.00 (£50 16th July - 2nd September 2016, is exceeded in 7 days. A larger deposit may be requested for stays of more than 2 weeks, to cover excessive usage.

Changeover Day:
Our changeover day is flexible-however please check-into the property after 3pm on the day of arrival, and vacate by 10am on the day of your departure. If you have any specific requests we will do our best to accommodate you, dependent on other bookings.

Notes on prices:
Cots and high chairs can be hired for £25.00/£15.00 per week.

Some apartment hot water is fed from energy from the communal solar panels.

Notes on accommodation: We love our large light and airy apartment, where six adults easily feel comfortable and at ease. Apartment hot water and pool heating partly powered by solar energy from panels discretely situated on the roof. Pool heated most of the year. High chairs and cots are available on request. All windows, and balcony doors, are fitted with electrically operated security/blackout shutters. The apartment can be rented in the winter months. Air-conditioning and heating available however electricity is subject to a 'Reasonable Usage' clause is included in the terms and conditions when the inclusive amount is exceeded. Large car park adjacent to apartment block. Linen and towels are supplied along with pool towels. There is an electronic building entry system operated from within the apartment. Unfortunately we do not accept pets-but we would accept guide dogs. This is a strictly no smoking apartment. Outside: We have a large private 'L shaped' balcony which benefits from early afternoon and evening sun with panoramic views of the Ria Formosa. It is furnished with a terrace table and chairs for 6 plus an outdoor twin-seater sofa, all with cushions. The shared pool is located on a large decked area on the roof and is accessible to residents/guests via a lift or stairs to the fifth floor. The pool measures 4 metres x 7 metres (large enough for an adult to swim in) and has steps down into the shallow end which measures 0.7 metres deep and slopes gently down to a depth of 1.1 meters. There are plenty of sunbeds which you can use to watch your children splashing in the pool or to simply soak up the hot Algarve sunshine. There is a large car park adjacent to apartment block. Utility Room: Clothes dryer/airer, iron, ironing board, mops and buckets, dustpan and brushes. The utility room also houses the central hoovering system motor, flexible hose and attachments. A small amount of beach toys and equipment are also stored in here. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bathroom towels and bed linens supplied. Weekly cleaning plus towel/linen change. However, there can be a different service for longer stays, please contact the owners for details. Additional cleaning can be arranged on request. Pool towels supplied. Other: Large, airy and tastefully decorated hallway, with console table, which gives access to all rooms. The lounge/dining area leads out, through double sliding doors, onto a large 'L' shaped balcony complete with 6 place outside table and two seater sofa.
