Second floor apartment sleeps 2/4, 1 bedroom with double bed, king size double bed/settee in large open plan lounge. French windows onto a well equipped first terrace with views of our mediterranean garden, the old village and surrounding hills. Amazing views over the Etang de Thau from the living area and from the roof top terrace. Quality, light, airy apartment ideally situated in the traditional, charming Bouzigues fishing village, 100m from the port, 150m from beach.
Originally a fisherman's cave, we have developed this property into 2 modern, well equipped, light, airy apartments with sunny terraces. The apartments have wonderful views over the Etang de Thau, Balaruc, Sete and surrounding hills. They are minutes from the beach, port and the waterfront cafes and restaurants.

Bouzigues is situated on the edge of the Etang de Thau lagoon, bordering the Mediterranean. It has safe, sandy beaches perfect for swimming, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and other watersports. The nearest beach and port are 2 mins walk away. Apartments have views of the Etang, Balaruc, Sete and the surrounding hills. The nearby towns of Sete, Montpellier, Nimes, Pezenas and Agde and the unspoilt villages all add another dimension to our holiday. Carcassone, the Pyrenees, the Camargue, Arles, Aix en Provence are only a few hours drive away. Having said that we rarely leave the village! A variety of beautiful Mediterranean beaches are within 15 mins by car. Last but not least, we are addicted to the locally farmed oysters, mussels and other seafood as well as the superb wines of the region!
What makes this apartment unique
The apartments are situated at the heart of the village and one can't help but enjoy the wonderful ambience and French culture. The village is bustling but not crowded and it is easy to park right outside the apartments.
30% paid on booking. Confirmation will be given on receipt of this. Balance paid 6 weeks before arrival. When booking is less than 6 weeks before arrival the full amount is due, plus deposit. A deposit of £200 is due at the same time as the balance. It will be refunded, minus deductions for any damage, up to 2 weeks after departure.
Saturday is usual changeover day although there may be some flexibility out of high season. Arrival 3pm onwards. Departure by 11 am.

Fourth visit to this apartment. It never disappoints! Wonderful peaceful location with fabulous views of the lake and beautiful fishing village of Bouziques. Totally unspoilt! Perfect all year round location as apartment has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Plenty of scope for visiting local beauty spots,beaches ,cities! Highly recommended!

We have stayed in this apartment for three weeks in September fo the past two years and we are booked in again for the same three weeks this year and will more than likely book for the forseeable future. The apartment has everything that is required for a most pleasant and comfortable holiday. It is to us home from home.
Bouzigues is a quintisentual seaside village with many seafood (locally sourced) restaurants along the foreshore, there is also a boulangerie, conveniance store, icecream parlour, chemist, and various other small shops.
There are many places to visit in the area depending on preference, also beautiful beaches within easy reach. Within a ten minute bike ride there is an inlet where flamingos can be seen in there natural habitat along with other wildlife.
All in all we have had happy relaxing holidays in Bouziges and would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Activity and Interests
Local Bouzigues sandy beaches on the salt water Etang de Thau provide excellent swimming and other water activities, within 2 min walk of the apartment. Numerous nearby sandy beaches. 15 min drive to beautiful Mediterranean beaches.
Montpellier airport 25 mins drive. Nimes and Beziers airports 45 mins drive. Local bus service to nearby towns and villages is adequate although car hire recommended for exploring further afield. Low cost airlines including Ryanair and Easyjet serve these airports.
Meze-5kms, food markets, beaches, restaurants and port. Loupian-4kms, 12 century church and roman villa. Balaruc les Bains-6kms, commercial centre, thermal spa, beaches. Sete-10kms, historic port, canals, beaches, markets, cafes, restaurants, open air theatre, music festivals. Montpellier-30kms, historic, university city. Pezenas-20 kms, rich in history and famous for its antique markets.
Bouzigues has many seafood cafes and restaurants along the waterfront, a boulangerie, a general grocers, a newsagents, pharmacy, Post Office, craft shops, an ice cream parlour, bars and an ATM.

- Notes on accommodation: 2 modern apartments each with light and airy views to the front and rear. Large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, shower room. Each apartment is well equipped with fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, oven, hob, satellite TV, DVD player, hair dryer, various games, beach equipment etc. Internet access. Towels and bed linen are provided but tenants are encouraged to bring their beach towels. Travel cot and high chair are available on request. Cleaning - to keep costs to a minimum we ask tenants to leave as found but additional cleaning and laundry is available at tenant's expense. No pets and no smoking in apartments. Very easy parking. Outside: Well equipped sunny terraces with adequate shade, comfortable settee/arm chairs, dining table with chairs and barbecue. The smaller apartment has 2 small sunny terraces. Good outlook onto Mediterranean garden below.
