Apartment 1-First floor, Sleeps 4/6

Apartment 1 sleeps 4/6, 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and 1 with twin beds. Both bedrooms have french windows opening onto small balconies with views of the Etang de Thau. Table and chairs offer a sunny spot to take a morning coffee and watch village life go by. Superb views over the port and water to Sete. Double convertible sofa in large lounge. Quality, light, airy apartment with large french windows opening onto spacious, very well equipped terrace and outdoor living space overlooking our mediterranean garden, the old village and surrounding hills. Ideally situated in the traditional, charming Bouzigues fishing village, 100m from the waterfront/port, 150m from beach. Both Apartments have English freesat television and good internet connection. A short walk through the picturesque village takes you to the boulangerie where produce is made on site. There is a small grocers, tabac and bars as well as a very good pharmacy and medical centre. Good Local bus service .

Originally a fisherman's cave, we have developed this property into 2 modern, well equipped, light, airy apartments with sunny terraces. The apartments have wonderful views over the Etang de Thau, Balaruc, Sete and surrounding hills. They are minutes from the beach, port and the waterfront cafes and restaurants.

We are retired teachers and now spend as much time as possible in France as amongst other things we love the French culture, the markets, the regional delicacies and the local wines!

We have made many friends in this wonderful french village by the sea. We are always made so welcome during our many visits.

Why Joanna Tollitt chose Cap d'Agde area

Bouzigues is situated on the edge of the Etang de Thau lagoon, bordering the Mediterranean. It has safe, sandy beaches perfect for swimming, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and other watersports. The nearest beach and port are 2 mins walk away. Apartments have views of the Etang, Balaruc, Sete and the surrounding hills. The nearby towns of Sete, Montpellier, Nimes, Pezenas and Agde and the unspoilt villages all add another dimension to our holiday. Carcassone, the Pyrenees, the Camargue, Arles, Aix en Provence are only a few hours drive away. Having said that we rarely leave the village! A variety of beautiful Mediterranean beaches are within 15 mins by car. Last but not least, we are addicted to the locally farmed oysters, mussels and other seafood as well as the superb wines of the region!

The apartments are situated at the heart of the village and one can't help but enjoy the wonderful ambience and French culture. The village is bustling but not crowded and it is easy to park right outside the apartments.

Booking Notes:
30% paid on booking. Confirmation will be given on receipt of this. Balance paid 6 weeks before arrival. When booking is less than 6 weeks before arrival the full amount is due, plus deposit. A deposit of £200 is due at the same time as the balance. It will be refunded, minus deductions for any damage, up to 2 weeks after departure.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is usual changeover day although there may be some flexibility out of high season. Arrival 3pm onwards. Departure by 11 am.

Notes on prices:
Prices in UK pounds but can pay in euros. Discounts can be considered for last minute lets or long, out of season lets.

Great location

This is a lovely modern apartment which is well equipped and in a great location in the centre of the village and metres from the Etang. There are some lovely restaurants and the seafood is wonderful. The village retains its French charm as it is away from the more tourist parts of the region. The hosts are so helpful and friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay at the apartment is relaxing and enjoyable. This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely will be back as it is starting to feel like a second home now!

Another perfect stay.

Our second time in this very well appointed apartment a stone's throw

away from everything in wonderful unspoilt Bouzigues. No need to say anymore we will be back. it suited our needs perfectly.

Great apartment in a great location

We had a weeks holiday in Bouzigues in early May . The apartment is In the town, just a few steps from bars, baker and grocer but quiet with a huge balcony to sit out. It is roomy with everything you need for a week or longer. There is lots to see and do within an hour - great beaches, mountains, historical sites. Would certainly recommend.

Coast/Beach:

Local Bouzigues sandy beaches on the salt water Etang de Thau provide excellent swimming and other water activities, within 2 min walk of the apartment. Numerous nearby sandy beaches. 15 min drive to beautiful Mediterranean beaches.

Travel:

Montpellier airport 25 mins drive. Nimes and Beziers airports 45 mins drive. Local bus service to nearby towns and villages is adequate although car hire recommended for exploring further afield. Low cost airlines including Ryanair and Easyjet serve these airports.

Distances:

Meze-5kms, food markets, beaches, restaurants and port. Loupian-4kms, 12 century church and roman villa. Balaruc les Bains-6kms, commercial centre, thermal spa, beaches. Sete-10kms, historic port, canals, beaches, markets, cafes, restaurants, open air theatre, music festivals. Montpellier-30kms, historic, university city. Pezenas-20 kms, rich in history and famous for its antique markets.

Bouzigues has many seafood cafes and restaurants along the waterfront, a boulangerie, a general grocers, a newsagents, pharmacy, Post Office, craft shops, an ice cream parlour, bars and an ATM.

  • Notes on accommodation: 2 modern apartments each with light and airy views to the front and rear. Large open plan kitchens, lounge and dining area, shower room. Each apartment is well equipped with fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, oven, hob, satellite TV, DVD player, hair dryer, various games, beach equipment etc. Internet access. Towels and bed linen provided but tenants are encouraged to bring their beach towels. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Cleaning - to keep costs to a minimum we ask tenants to leave as found but additional cleaning and laundry is available at tenant's expense. No pets and no smoking in apartments. Easy parking. Outside: Well equipped sunny terraces with adequate shade, comfortable settee/arm chairs, dining table with chairs and barbecue. Apartment 1 has a large sunny terrace with a Good outlook onto the Mediterranean garden below. Apartment 2 has rooftop terrace with stunning views over water ideal for meals and evening drinks
