There is free parking beside the main lift in Praz-sur-Arly OR -it is only 4km to Megeve where there are 3 different areas for skiing - Rochebrune, Mont d'Arbois & Le Jaillet/Christomet.
I am a practicing vet from Devon with a love of the great outdoors and mountain scenery. I consider Praz-sur-Arly a beautiful area & everyone who visits agrees with me on this.

Praz-sur-Arly is an all-year-round holiday retreat in the centre of the beautiful Arly valley, which is in between the Mont Blanc range of mountains & the Aravis chain of mountains. It is so easy to get to from Geneva airport. I was lucky to find this apartment. It had only been on the market 10 days & is one of the best positioned apartments in the building. It is a very quite & relaxing place for a break.
A pretty basic but lovely little apartment with fantastic views from the living area and balcony. Plenty of hot water for baths or showers after a hard day's skiing.
We didn't have great weather - it was raining a lot in the village, snowing and low cloud up the mountain, but we found everything very convenient and the ski slopes were fantastic. There were some lovely little restaurants in the village, or a pizza take-away which was very reasonable. We hired a car and the drive from Geneva and back was no problem at all.
I would definitely like to return some time in the future. The only downsides were that the apartment could do with some updating and modernising and the towels definitely needed replacing.

Nous y avons passé un très bon sejour.
Appartement agréable et bien conçu pour une famille de 4-5 personnes, résidence calme avec vue sur les pistes. Rangement suffisant et parking sous-terrain appréciable. Le gros point faible reste la qualité de la literie (à changer) et la moquette à changer. L'accès au domaine skiable se fait assez bien en voiture.
Special interest holidays:
This is a beautiful area for walking holidays. the village is on the Pays de Mont Blanc route. Some chair lifts are open in July & August. There are 3 lakes for swimming at Flumet, Combloux & Passy.
Travel:
Geneva airport 1 hour 15 minutes. Chambery & Lyon airports also possible. Hire car recommended
Distances:
Nearest supermarket 300 metres. Village shops & restaurants 200 metres. Ski slopes 400 metres. Megeve 4km. Beautiful Annecy & breathtaking Chamonix within 1 hours drive.
