To say that Villa Santa Maria is magical is an understatement. The terrace at the Villa has breath-taking panoramic views of the country side, National Park, and the Adriatic Sea in the distance. We were reluctant to write this review, as we wanted to keep Villa Santa Maria as a secret for ourselves. However, that would be an injustice. On our arrival we were greeted by John and Mary who could not do enough to make our family stay a memorable one. With 3 adults and 3 small children every possible effort was made to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Especially the personal touches to accommodate our family.
The Villa’s Location is rustic and charming, which made for a very relaxing Oasis and allowed us to spend precious time with our children, while soaking the Italian culture. The Villa itself is exceptional from decor, to the outside areas to eat, relax by the pool and the facilities provided. The photos do not do it justice. The villa was spacious and had all the amenities to cope with 3 adults and 3 small children, which would never had been provides by a hotel or apartment.
At the Villa a folder was provided with a wealth of information. One of the places recommended was Castelli and it did disappoint. We drove along the winding roads to the mountain top village and had lunch at the restaurant in the hilltops, the views again where breath taking, the restaurant was authentic and although we had very little Italian in our vocabulary, we were made to feel so welcome, our children doted on and they delighted us with the most amazing homemade pasta that myself and Partner have ever eaten.
Of course you may want to visit the sites that the area has to offer. However, the Villa has ‘soo’ much to offer, you may not want to venture too far from this Italian Oasis.
Villa Santa Maira will not disappoint. It’s Magical.
