The house sits in a dominant position in the hills of Les Issambres with stunning views of the Mediterranean sea and the Southern Alps. Les Issambres is a small town but has all the typical amenities that you will require including Peti Casino (small supermarket)and new Spar shop, fantastic patisserie, traditional bakery, local butcher, Tourist Information, chemist, florist, numerous restaurants, bars and cafes. There is a market on Mondays selling local produce. There is a sailing school situated next to the marina. The locally famous Le Circle restaurant can be seen from the house, where their speciality sea food can be enjoyed only metres away from the waters edge. Aqua Land and Mc Donalds for the kids are a ten minute drive along the coast road at St Maxime.
We have been holidaying in the cote d'azur for the past 11 years. This year for us (party of 7, ages 14-64) this villa was idyllic. Our main purpose was to relax and enjoy some sunshine and for my mother in law to fully recuperate following major surgery.
The photographs shown are completely representative of how it is, it's very light, bright and spacious . The view is simply stunning (or in the words of my teenage daughter "epic",).
The villa is conveniently situated approximately 20minutes drive from Frejus and another 20 minutes in the other direction to St maxime. The villa is very well secluded and offers peace and privacy. Closer to the villa are numerous coves offering ideal snorkelling, something my husband and son enjoyed on nearly a daily basis.
To be completely honest, I would definitely recommend this villa and would most certainly rebook. I miss the view already!Jonathan and Emma, you are indeed very fortunate to own such a beautiful home. Thank you for a lovely holi
My family had a wonderful fortnight at Jonathan's villa. The view is so spectacular, at times I found myself putting my holiday book down and just looking out to sea. The villa is very comfortable and perfect for a refreshing break away from it all. Highly recommended!
Stayed here for a week in July with three children under 6 just utilising half of this large property which could easily accommodate 12+. The views are spectacular with many a happy day spent spotting the yachts in the bay. Good sized rooms for sleeping/eating in and the wrap around terrace was perfect for sundowners. Not sure what the first reviewer swam in as the pool was crystal clear and the scene of many happy days for the kids. Plenty of space for alfresco dining and being above sea level a cool breeze blows. The slight downside is that the driveway is a bit steep to get up - but hey, the best vistas come from on high and it's a price worth paying.
My family and i were in much need of a good holiday, rest and relaxation and that's just what we got. The views are incredible and a perfect location.... Fabulous holiday. Only wish we had gone for longer!
On the first day of our holiday,as we sat on our sunbeds sipping a glass of Rose wine produced locally and watching the sail boats zigzagging across the bay of St Tropez we felt that this had the makings of a good holiday. We were correct.
The house and gardens were superb and the quality of the furnishings was first rate. The good sized rooms provided excellent family accommodation and the view from the main living room even surpassed the view from the poolside area.
On the one occasion that we had a minor problem with the swimming pool controller, one phone call to the guardian and overseer of the house resulted in the problem being rectified within one hour.
The local restaurants were numerous with our two favourites being
La Romantica and for that special dinner Le Cercle which although more expensive, served the best fish and seafood we have ever tasted.
A truly memorable holiday which we hope to replicate when we return in May 2014.
We had a fantastic week at this well equipped villa which made us feel like it was home from home. Great pool with the most amazing views which can be enjoyed form nearly every room.
Fantastic location with incredible restaurants within walking distance, beach only a stones throw away and St Tropez a short water taxi/ferry ride. We will defiantly be back this summer!
