A 4 bedroom Dorma Bungalow In A Quiet Location with Beautiful Sea views

Overview

Property

Updated: 26-Nov-2016
A delightful 4 bed, 2 bathroomed house overlooking the beach and sea at Polzeath. Suitable for couples but with enough space for families close to shops, restaurants and beach

Welcome to our delightful and very flexible 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom property overlooking the famous beach here at Polzeath. It enjoys spectacular views of the north Cornish coastline up to the rugged pentire headland to the north and stepper to the south - an area of outstanding beauty.

We have created a very comfortable property that is close to the village, shops, restaurants and beach, is self-contained, private and away from the main road with every comfort and appliance to help make your holiday as relaxing as possible.

The property consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 upstairs with a shared toilet ,shower and wash hand basin and 2 downstairs with a large bathroom with walk in shower, hand basin and toilet.

Also downstairs is a very large kitchen dining room, the kitchen having all the normal appliances including a dish washer.

From the dining room you pass through a door into a very comfortable lounge with flat screen TV coffee tables, sofas and easy chairs.

From the lounge passing through patio doors you come into the conservatory furnished with cane furniture which overlooks the ample terrace, furnished with outside tables and chairs and garden, all with lovely sea views.

The house also has a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier.

From the house it is an easy 3 to 4 minute slight down hill walk to the village. The village has restaurants, cafes and coffee shops, a large Spar supermarket, clothes shops and shops to buy everything you might need for the beach, wet suits and surf boards. The shops etc are at the head of the beach so it is straight on to the beach for a day soaking up the sun.

The beach is a blue flag beach very famous for its surf whilst safety is looked after by RNLI lifeguards.

The property is very versatile, suitable for a couple who could holiday downstairs, never having to go upstairs, a large family who could use the 10 beds provided over the 4 bedrooms or 2 families, one family upstairs and one family downstairs.

In 2 of the bedrooms we have zip and link beds which can be used as either king size doubles or singles, 2 rooms with double beds and the very large double bedroom has 2 singles in it.

The house is fully centrally heated, including the conservatory, controlled by a thermostat in the entrance hall.

So all in all a lovely versatile property where you can feel safe and secure knowing that we the owners are living only 100yds away, there to ensure that your holiday is trouble free so you, our customers can enjoy a lovely relaxing holiday.

Our motto when we had the Hotel was "Come as Strangers and leave as Friends", a motto we still have today.

About the Owner

Julie and I moved to Polzeath from Stratford on Avon in April 1998 and bought the Seascape Hotel. We built up a very loyal trade, our customers came back year after year. Our motto was "Arrive as strangers and leave as friends"

In September of 1999 we purchased a house, across the road from the Seascape Hotel called "Two The Martins". This we have lovingly re-furbished over the years and we now have a delightful 4 bedroomed house, flexible enough for 2 people to use but still ideal for a large family or 2 smaller families. It is ideal for a beach holiday or for a base overlooking the sea to explore Cornwall, the South coast being only a short drive away and within that short drive all the gardens in the area including Eden, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and of course Lanhydrock, one of the best National Trust properties in the country.

As well as Two The Martins we now let Seascape as well, the house named after the Hotel which we used to live in. It is a delightful 3 bedroom house with fabulous beach and sea views.

Polzeath is a wonderful place to live and we love to share it with our guests. There is so much to see, so much to do but so little time to enjoy it.

Owner's Response: Julie and I are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Polzeath is a lovely place to stay on the North Cornwall coast and a great location to be able to tour Cornwall or just to chill out and walk. We are so glad you enjoyed our house and we hope you will return. We like our customers to return so Julie will be in touch for next year when as a return customer you will have the benefit of having the house for the same price as this year. We look forward to hearing from you and in the mean time have a Happy Xmas Paul and Julie

Location

From the Owner

Two The Martins is a delightful and very flexible 4 bedroomed Dorma bungalow, overlooking the famous beach here at Polzeath. We have created a wonderful property that is close to the village, shops, restaurants and of course the beach, is self contained, private, away from the main road with every comfort and appliance to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. My family and I have been coming to Cornwall for our holidays since 1978, we loved it so much we made it our home in 1998, the best move we ever made. Cornwall has so much history, many stories, some true and some maybe not so true with many places to explore, the people are lovely and will always make you welcome. Cornwall is just a great place to be, come and enjoy it.

Coast/Beach:

Polzeath Beach is just a 3 minute walk from the property. The Beach has attractions for all ages. It is ideal for surfing, whether a beginner or experienced, or you can just enjoy lazy days on the beach with the children playing in superb rock pools left by the tide. From the beach you can access the beautiful and rugged coastline footpath leading to Pentire and on to Port Isaac or walk beside the esturary to Rock. Facilities

From the Owner

We fell in love with the property because of its location. There are so many activities that can be enjoyed here at Polzeath, they include surfing, swimming, coastering, rock pooling and as many activities that you can think of on a beach with a large expanse of sand as we have here at Polzeath. We have a surf school with courses to suit everybody, from complete beginner to advanced. We have 6 challenging golf course nearby, including St Enodoch and Trevose. There is the South West coast path about 500 yds away where you can walk to Port Issac to the North and Padstow to the South just a short car journey and you can be on Bodmin Moor. The house is very versatile, as a couple you can enjoy the comfort, the views and of course the peace and quiet and as a family you can enjoy all the amenities that the house offers and all the amenities that are on your doorstep, plenty of room and plenty to do, inside in the spacious living rooms or outside on the spacious terrace and garden that overlooks the sea. At the end of the day on a nice evening you can watch the sun set whilst enjoying a barbecue or if the weather is not good enough to eat outdoors then the dining room seats 10 so a nice family dinner can be enjoyed In comfort. Other options are to walk to a restaurant in the village and enjoy some lovely fresh fish or maybe a lobster or maybe a steak, its all there for you. The houses location is such that from March 15th through to October 21st the sun sets in the bay, beautiful they are as well and we really do get our fair share of lovely weather. So come and see why we fell in love with "Two The Martins", just give it a go, you wont regret it.
