Well equipped 3 bedroom apartment. Full air-conditioning and UK and Spanish TV. Property very well located for Golf within walking distance and hotel, bars and restaurants. There is also a small commercial centre on site which contains a small supermarket. Main resort of Mojacar and Mojacar Beach about 10 mins in car. Flights to Almeria, Murcia and Alicante all serve this area. The city of Almeria is approx 45 mins from the apartment and Granada about 2 hours. Great base for relaxing Golf holiday or family holiday.

My name is Stuart Macpherson I am 48 years old and live in Inverness Scotland with my wife and 3 children 2 of which are grown up students.

I am a keen golfer which was partly my reason for buying the property as well as my love of Spain and Spanish culture.The amazing weather in Almeria may have had a bit to do with it too!

What I like in particular about Almeria is the desert feel and the real dryness and hot winds.We bought the apartment in 2004 and have enjoyed many trips there since.We quite often combine a trip up to Granada which we love,worth an overnight stay just less than 2 hours on a very good road .

Why Stuart Macpherson chose Vera

What I like particularly about the area is its proximity to the sea and the dry hot winds.

Almeria is also less developed than Costa del Sol which I prefer as you dont have to go to far to get to traditional Spanish life.As well as playing Golf I am also a keen cyclist and have found lots of good road cycling there as the country roads are fairly quiet. Also in Spain there is much more respect given to cyclists than in the UK despite what you may hear about Spanish motorists. Depending where you live in the UK Valle del este is pretty easy to access from most major cities and shortish transfers.

What makes this apartment unique

What I enjoy whilst staying at the property is at Valle Del Este now the resort is quite self contained and if you want you could stay on site for quite long periods as there are good restaurants and bars and the golf is within walking distance.

Down at the pool there is a nice grassed area where you can sit and read of listen to your ipod its a very relaxing place.

The Valle del este hotel is within walking distance and there is a Gym and internet available. There is also a sports style bar with WIFI and sky sports. There is also a very good Spanish Tapas bar/restaurant. Very recently an Indian restaurant has opened.

Our apartment itself is 3 bedroomed which is quite unusual on the site.It is well equipped and has air con(essential in summer) and Spanish and UK TV.

Notes on accommodation: Property benefits from off road secure parking and Los Olivos development is secured by locked gates and key fob activated car park. Apartment itself is situated on 1st floor and has a tiled outdoor living space with table and chairs. Outside: Table and chairs outside. Sun loungers in apartment can be brought down to pool side. Pool is approx 20m long and there is also a small child's paddling pool. There is a nice grassed area to enjoy the sun. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. Property is cleaned at the beginning of each let and additional clean can be arranged for longer stays. Other: Dining area. Large dining table and chairs for family or group dining.

Wonderful Vacations

We´ve had wonderful vacations in Vera (Almeria) and much to blame is the fantastic appartment we've enjoyed. It has everything you can expect from an appartment, totally equipped, with two bathrooms, air conditioning in all rooms, placed in a housing developement near the highway, in a complex with a four star hotel, bars, restaurants etc . Many afternoons we had the swimming pool for ourselves which is really a luxury, in short good value for money. And finally I'd like to stress the good communication with the appartment's owner Stuart.
