Villa in Moraira, Costa Blanca, Spain - Peaceful Mountain Location, Three Minutes Drive To Nearest Beach, Seven Minutes Drive To Moraira

A beautiful front line villa in mountain setting. Amazing sea views and looking over a natural gorge and pine trees. Moorish style, set on two levels with vaulted dining hall. Furnished to a very high standard and fully kitted out with all mod cons, SKY TV etc; Wireless internet, full air-conditioning to all bedrooms, large fan to cool Lounge, (dining area has high vaulted ceiling which keeps it cool in summer), beach towels, hairdryers, dressing gowns etc. Large terrace which benefits from all day sun and undercover outside eating area. 9 x 4 heated pool, extensive gardens with palm trees and Mediterranean plants. Villa is accessed by steps and is not suitable for those requiring a flat access. Moraira (seven minutes by car) is a beautiful up-market, unspoilt Spanish Town (no high rise) with shops, restaurants, marina and lovely beaches. Excellent golf nearby.

About Martine Greenwood

Keith and I (Tina) are in our mid sixties and live in Marlow on a golf course/private estate.: Keith is in the building trade and I am a retired mortgage broker. We currently spend about four or five months of the year at the villa and consider it our home, rather than somewhere we just rent out. We absolutely adore going out to Moraira - we spent about three years researching pretty much the whole Spanish coast from Gibralter up past Barcelona to find what we were looking for. We love the fact that Moraira has no highrise (just two blocks of flats), and is off the tourist map. There are plants everywhere and it is just so pretty!

We are both very keen golfers and it is so good playing in the sun!

Why Martine Greenwood chose Cumbre del Sol

The whole area is outstandingly beautiful: unspoilt by overdevelopment, very green with mountains on three sides. Much of the land is protected trust land and the coastline is some of the most spectacular in Spain. Moraira is a very pretty "real town" with a lovely old part and a newer area which has been developed very sympathetically. It has sophisticated shops and restaurants as well as local tapas bars and boutiques and of course, the marina which is gorgeous. The whole town is incredibly well kept and clean with plants everywhere. Access is very simple via the motorway: Trains run into the heart of Valencia for day-trips and Barcelona is easily within a day's drive.

What makes this villa unique

The villa is particularly well equipped: As this is a "home" rather than just a holiday villa, the fittings and fixtures are of an exceptional quality (for those of you to whom these thing matter, we have Vi-spring beds) and on arrival you have full use of dressing gowns, hairdryers, beach towels etc. We offer a "Welcome Pack Service" to include food and drink to see you through to the following day, so you really can just come in through the front door, unpack and relax.

This is just an outstanding property to rent where everything you could possibly need has been thought about and provided.

Spotlessly clean. Light and airy. Beautiful gardens.

Quality fixtures and fittings making this property a real cut above the rest.

We have just spent an amazing 2 weeks here and dint want to leave.. It's just wow.. Book it you won't be disappointed.

Plus communication with the owners prior to departure is swift and very comprehensive..

Beautiful

Like most people we spent a long time going through all the websites and coming up with a short list of Villas and this one came out top of our list. We were not disappointed, the Villa is nothing short of superb!

You can tell by the quality of the furnishing and the way you open the cupboards and everything you might need is there for you. The outside area is amazing with a large dining table, plenty of sun loungers as well as a comfy outdoor corner suite for just relaxing and enjoying the views over the hills and down the valley.

Having visited the area before we can only say that once you go into Moraria there is a huge choice of restaurants to keep anybody happy as well as good supermarkets at the bottom of the hill so everybody is well catered for.

Tina and Keith are great to deal with both before you go and whilst you are there even sending us a text to ensure everything was ok.

The real question is would we book again or recommend this to friends and we absolutely would.

Stunning Villa and Views

Spent eight fabulous days with my family at this stunning villa. Pictures do not do it justice and has to be seen to be believed. Beautiful surrounding garden which is well cared for. It is well served for groceries as the Mercadona is two minutes by car. Very quiet location with views during the day evening. So good was the experience it was difficult to get the family out to explore the locale. Moraira is a beautiful unspoilt gem and a visit to Javea was lovely. Restaurants and bars all serve first class food and drinks with a smile and chill out bar at Marina a must for cocktails and view. Tina and Keith were a pleasure to deal with and provided lots of excellent information. Lots to entertain inside the villa. It will be hard not to return and repeat the experience. Highly recommended. Best wishes to them both for a fantastic holiday in their special home.

Fabulous villa

The moment we opened the door we knew we were somewhere special. It was after dark when we arrived but the villa is so welcoming we felt at home straight away.

The sight that greeted us in the morning is something I shall never forget, a view of the mediterrannean from your bedroom is the stuff of dreams!

The villa is beautifully furnished and has every appliance and amenity you could possibly want, truly a home from home. As well as the luxury of your own terrace and private pool with uninterrupted views to the sea, the gardens have been cleverly designed and meticulously maintained to give an extra feeling of being 'somewhere special'.

Moraira is an absolute delight - and so different from what you would normally expect to find on the Spanish costas - with a family friendly beach, any number of excellent bars and restaurants with prices to suit every budget, lovely shops and evening market stalls that all add to the wonderful character of a quite unique town.

We have made three visits to the villa so far and can't wait for our fourth - our only regret is it isn't ours!! Book it, you'll love it!

A hidden gem - too good to share!

We have stayed at this wonderful villa twice this year.

Writing a review can be good and bad, good for the owners but bad for us as once you have found this little gem it will be harder for us re availability. However, it would be selfish not to share this little find where we feel sure that you too will become return guests!

The villa is furnished to extremely high standards with all the comforts of a top hotel. The pool and patio with stunning sea views is a wonderful place to relax and bbq if you wish.

You could stay in every night for a year and never watch all the divd's in the collection.

Moraira is a perfect place for couples and families. We are in our early 50's and like to have a bit of a boogie in the evening. We were recommend the entertainment bar 'Las Vegas' for a dance - great night out. However, if you prefer it a bit quieter there are numerous wonderful restaurants to visit all along the coast.

Moraira: (7 minutes by car) excellent beach, busy in summer, 2 x restaurant, sun beds.

Travel:

Alicante: one hour's drive. Valencia: one hour, fifteen minutes.

Distances:

Moraira: 6 kilometres - 7 minutes by car. Benitachell: traditional spanish village: 3 kilometres - 4 minutes by car. Javea: three separate areas: quaint, Old town, cosmopolitan port area and Arenal busy beach -12 kilometres - 20 minutes by car. Altea: historic old town with beautiful church, 30 minutes by car. Benidorm: 40 mins by car.

Further Details:

Local supermarket, Pepe la sal, on cumbre del sol - about six minutes drive from the villa. Other main supermarkets at the bottom of the hill on the way to Moravia. Excellent beach cafe/restaurant three minutes drive (summer season) Go-karting - for all ages (high speed carts for grown-up boys!) about ten minutes drive. Terra Mitica theme park and waterpark just outside Benidorm. Benidorm - night life, clubs etc(and excellent golf course). Wonderful seafront walks, especially between Moraira and El Portet. Simply stunning! Calpe: visit the old town and try to climb the rock.
