My wife and i live in the UK with our two children and love to spend as much time as possible at our fantastic and very relaxing apartment in Riviera. We bought the apartment in 2007 and have loved to visit when we can. We have tried to make this place as home from home as possible and am sure you will feel the same if you visit.

Why Robert Twiss chose Mijas

The apartment was bought so that we had somewhere we could get away to leaving the hustle and bustle of the UK behind. It is situated close to all the usual amenities such as shops,restaurants and bars. The night life is quiet as all the bars have curfews till just after midnight so if you fancy a big night out you can visit many of the clubs in either Fuengirola or Marbella. I am sure that you will enjoy our apartment as much as we do.

Notes on accommodation: Long term lets also available from £500 a month Outside: Our apartment has a fantastic balcony area which looks out over one of the three pools that are available to residents of the complex. The beautiful gardens are well maintained daily and make for a pretty walk down to the exclusive pool bar which serves fresh food and drinks all year round. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are provided for the length of your stay. The property is cleaned after each and every stay and all towels/linen replaced.

Great apartment - a home from home!

Just back from a fabulous 2 weeks in Riveria Del Sol staying at Rob & Karen's lovely apartment. The apartment has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable with a great alfresco dining area overlooking the gorgeous gardens and pool area! It is ideally located on a great complex, very secure and quiet with a great pool/snack bar which is reasonably priced. Literally on the doorstep are some fab restaurants and a great supermarket but still only less than 10mins walk down to the small resort centre and the beach. We couldn't fault the apartment/complex and Rob & Karen were a pleasure to deal with - very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had! Without a doubt would recommend this apartment to couples and families - we can't wait to return!!

Mixed experience

From reading all other reviews our expectations where high.

The apartment itself is very nice. The kitchen is very small. But all other rooms were very nice. Our vacation was nearly every day affected by the neighbors. They were daily shouting and jelling and this also happened during this night. From this experience, we conclude that apartment is not sustainable to noise from neighbors.

The view from the terrace is very nice. We had some evenings with too much wind and it was too cold to sit outside. The location may be approx 15 min from beach. But we never used that beach. Is was not very attractive. We always drove to Fuengirola which was only a short drive. The communication with the owners was outstanding and very confident and did reply very quickly.

We are sorry to hear that you experienced noise from the people next door - this is not something we have had an issue with ourselves nor has it been mentioned by previous guests at the property. Unfortunately when staying in an apartment block you will hear noise from other occupants and that is something beyond our control. There are many lovely beaches along the coast and within a five min drive of the apartment such as La Cala, Cabopino and El Bombo which are detailed in the information book that we leave for guests.

Apartment in a fantastic spot

Great apartment with everything you need, perfect for the two of us. Its position within the complex is probably the best, has the sun all day and overlooks one of the large pools. We didn't hire a car but would if we came back again, there is a good bus and taxi service if you don't anyway. There is a great selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and a supermarket right outside the complex. The complex itself is very well maintained and secure. We would definitely recommend Rob and Karen's apartment for couples and small families. Thanks for stay :)

2nd time and ill be back again

Love this place , from the minute you walk in the door it feels like home , you'll need for nothing ,its so quite and peacful you could write a book ! Yet you can be in the supermarket,pub or resturant in 60 seconds ,rob and karen are a pleasure to deal with , we'll definetly be back

Lovely , quiet , getaway hideout

Very clean , quiet ,private apartment,

Everything that you could need has been thought of by Rob ,from maps to first aid, spacious sunny balcony and great selection of pools , definitely stay again .

Car: not necessary


All the beaches along this coast are absolutely fantastic with clean sand and beautiful blue sea's. The closest beach from the apartment is only a 10 minute walk but if you have hired a car the beaches between Fuengirola and Marbella are all worth a visit.


The apartment is situated 30 minutes drive from Malaga airport. You can also hire your car from the airport building at competitive prices. If you do not hire a car the local taxi's from the airport will take you straight to the door.


There are lots of places to visit from your base in Riviera del sol. Fuengirola and Marbella are only a 10 minute drive along the coast road and Gibraltar is a great day out and is only 1 hours run from the apartment. The village of Mijas in the mountains is a typical old Spanish village and is very pretty.

Further Details:

The local shops and restaurants are situated just outside the gate to the complex and offer a wide range of things to eat and drink. The local convenience store is 2 minutes from the apartment and sells everything you will need for your stay. There is a variety of different resturants from traditional Spanish tapas to Italian, Indian and English cuisine.
