The Languedoc-Roussillon region is on of Europe’s undiscovered gems, with vast sandy beaches on the Mediterranean coast. The area enjoys 300+ days of sunshine a year. With the Pyrenees close by and its magnificent scenery to explore, it offers skiing in the winter months only 90 minutes away. The area is steeped in history, with the medieval walled town of Carcassonne (1.30 hr away), historic town of Figueres (Salvador Dali Museum) 40 min into Spain. St.Cyprien, also boasts as being the second largest marina on the Mediterranean. Local family friendly restaurants, at affordable prices to cater for the 10000 local inhabitants and holiday makers. Its strong Catalan influence is reflected in its food and its great local wines on offer. The villa is located on a peaceful development with well laid out gardens providing plenty of shade from the hot summer sun. The secluded complex is safe from the road with locked gates ensuring small children are safe at all times.

We purchased this property for its safe and secure location with ample outdoor space, with built in barbecue. The garden and decking area has its own private lockable gate for extra security for the smaller child on holidays giving peace of mind to any parent. With 8km of unspoilt sandy beaches within walking distance of the property. There is many great amenities on our door step ie Aqualand, Le Grande Stade, Le Jardin de Plantes and many more.

What makes this villa unique

Within walking distance of all amenities ie Beaches, night life etc (Shops, Restaurants, Bars across the road. Aqualand pools and slide park 500m away. Private pools on site (large and kiddies pool) access which is by key only to residents.

Great for family beach hol

The apartment is simple and clean and had all we wanted. It was hot when we were there but there's two good portable air conditioning units in the house which kept the bedrooms cool at night.

The beach is about 15 minutes walk along a shady footpath. It is huge and sandy and the sea is warm. It was so huge that even in August there was plenty of space for everyone. There was a lovely beach cafe/restaurant that we ate at too.

The complex in which the apartment sits was surprisingly quiet, especially given that it was August. It was filled with quiet holiday families and residents. After an evening out it was the perfect place to unwind.

Family holiday

Spacious house with very well-equipped kitchen and very loud air conditioning unit in the twin bedroom. Very close to a great range of shops and eating places. The fresh fish shop was superb as was the baker's. Cleaning and maintenance could be higher priority. The pool was a good size and clean but there weren't any chairs/loungers to use. Brian and Mairead sent a terrific amount of information for places to eat and things to do-great for us! We were all adults looking for some adventure with sightseeing as well, so the area was great for that. Really good restauraunts within walking distance or a short drive away for non walkers. We loved L'Ascoli just 5minutes walk from the villa.

We drove the one and a half hours to Carcassonne and were suitably blown away by the beauty and atmosphere.

We'd definitely book again if we want to go to the same area also recommend the villa to friends.

Booking Notes:
Booking is simple. E-mail us with details of your requirements. Rates for the villa for 1 week include bedlinen, towels (not beach towels). When you decide to book a deposit of 30% is taken and your reservation confirmed and the balance due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. A damage deposit of 200 euros is payable 2 weeks prior to arrival.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday in season, but we will be happy to discuss other days and times in medium and low seasons. Arrival is 4pm with departure at 10am on the day you leave. Flexible where possible to facilitate pricing of low cost airlines.

100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is particularly suited to guests who do not wish to hire a car as most amenities are on the door step. If you wish to venture further afield English speaking tours may be arranged at the newsagents in the shopping centre 200 meters from the villa.. If you wish to fly to Gerona in Spain there is a bus transfer (80 minutes) to Perpignan centre. Bicycles may be hired at the newsagents across the road from the property. Outside: The property is a semidetached duplex villa with beautiful views of the Pyrenees and Mt.Canigou. The villa is in a secure gated property , secured by electronic gates.The property has a partially covered terrace with a large area of decking and large patio table with 8 chairs for outdoor dining.(large sun umbrella for shade). There is also a built in barbecue, to assist with your alfresco dining. There is a fully enclosed garden with lockable gate to ensure small children's safety. Shops, (Boulangerie,Pecherie,Coiffiure) , Bar, Restaurants are located directly across the road for all you needs. Adjacent to the property is ‘Le Grande Stade’ which has a number of sporting facilities such as football Tennis and a fully equiped Gym. Le Jardin de Plantes is a 2 minute walk away which hosts some of the rarest and most exotic plants in the world. (free all year round and well worth a visit). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels (not beach towels) are provided free and are exchanged weekly. All utilities are included. Other: Covered terrace with built in barbecue. There is a fully enclosed decked private garden with patio table/8 chairs , large umbrella to assist with alfresco dining.
