Townhouse in Peyia, Coral Bay Area, Paphos, Cyprus - Quiet Location. 10 Minutes Walk To The Traditional Village Of Peyia, 5 Minute Drive To Beaches

Our lovely 2 bedroom townhouse is located on a small development on the outskirts of Peyia. Desire Gardens boasts a large communal pool and private undercover parking. A 10 minute walk will take you into the traditional village of Peyia with a lovely square and all the amenities that you could need. Paphos, Coral Bay and the Akamas Peninsula are all close by. Whatever type of holiday you want - eating, drinking, walking, nature, history or just lazing in the sun- it is easily accessible from here. The house is furnished to a high standard with tiled floors and marble staircase and kitchen worktops. The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. An open plan living/dining room looks out through patio doors to a suntrap patio with table and chairs, loungers and sea view. Upstairs comprises family bathroom, twin bedroom and double bedroom with a balcony which is perfect for watching the sun set over the sea. There is air conditioning throughout the property.

About Rachel Richards

We are Tim and Rachel Richards. We live in Cornwall with our two children where we run our own business which keeps us very busy for most of the year and especially over the summer months. Hence by October every year we are more then ready for a relaxing holiday in the sun. Having tried other places it was in Cyprus that we felt truly relaxed - it has something for all the family and the people are so friendly and welcoming. So in 2010 we took the plunge and bought our own house there. As we cannot be there as much as we would like we want other people have a slice of the sun. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why Rachel Richards chose Peyia

Peyia is a great base for your holiday in Cyprus. Only a 30 minute drive from Paphos airport, it gives you easy access to beaches, shopping, antiquities, walking, eating - in fact anything you could want from your holiday. The traditional village of Peyia is a 10 minute walk from the house and is a proper village not a tourist resort with all the facilities that you could need. 5 minutes drive away is Coral Bay which offers bars and restaurants galore and lovely beaches. Paphos itself is great for shopping, eating and strolling and 15 minutes further along is the fantastic Akamas Peninsula. Also within 10-15 minutes are fantastic forest trails in the hills for all levels of walkers. Not forgetting the antiquities and history that is everywhere you look in Cyprus! And sunshine!

Desire Gardens is a small high quality development on the outskirts of Peyia. Built on the hillside it has spectacular views of the Paphos coastline which can be enjoyed from either the patio or the balcony of our luxury 2 bedroom house. You will have use of the large communal pool situated just 20M from the house. Undercover parking keeps your car safe and cool. The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and marble worktops. The house is furnished to a high standard wth tiled floors, marble staircase and air conditioning throughout.

Notes on accommodation: We hope that our home will provide all of our guests with a comfortable base for a great holiday. The house is nicely fitted out - and we hope that you will find the furniture and beds as comfortable as we do. Cots, high chairs, etc can be arranged for those travelling with young children. Outside: Our patio area provides a fantastic place to sit, eat, drink or just soak up the sun. Furnished with a table with 4 chairs and umbrella and two sun loungers. The patio offers views down to the coast and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds - a short shrub lined path leads to the communal pool which is claimed to be one of the biggest in Peyia. The pool is freeform in shape, unheated, nicely landscaped and with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. It never seems to get busy - no need to reserve loungers in the early hours!There are toilets and showers in the pool area which were refurbished in 2012. Our balcony is the perfect place to sit with a relaxing evening drink while gazing out to sea as the sun sets. Private undercover parking keeps your car safe and cool. Visitor parking is also available on site. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house will be cleaned prior to your arrival. There is a plentiful supply of towels. If staying for more then a week the house will be cleaned and all linen/towels will be changed at the end of each week. Further cleaning/linen available at extra cost. Other: Patio area is furnished with table and chairs and 2 sunbeds. A perfect spot to relax,eat and drink amongst the landscaping of Desire Gardens whilst admiring the sea view.The balcony is furnished with chairs and is perfect for a relaxing evening drink.

Lovely house and amazing views.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The views are spectacular from both terraces. There was a welcome pack with bread, butter, milk etc.which was very handy. There was everything we needed inside the house. The site is clean and tidy with a lovely pool with plenty of sun beds. A car is needled to make the most of Peyia and surrounding areas. There isn’t internet in the house but all the bars and restaurants close by give free WiFi access.

Nice property bit out the way compared to usual.Clean but not to my standard.I know theirs tv problems but we werent informed b4 we went No tv or internet or wifi for 2wks

Location,excellent. Pool a welcome relief!

We were very happy with the locationduring our visit to this area. The house was well equipped.We had good communication with the owner who was very helpful. I would reccomend this property. Locally we could walk to some tavernas for food and drinks also a few small supermarkets for supplies. We would gladly go back here again. Visiting turtle beach was a highlight and the beautiful places to swim. Thank you

Special interest holidays:

Cyprus offers a wide variety of holidays. The Akamas peninsula and Lara Bay is a nature reserve which is one of the few places in the world where turtles can be observed coming onto land to lay their eggs.

Walking is a very popular pursuit in the area with a good network of paths both around the coast and in the pine clad hills. There is plenty of flora and fauna to be seen including the moufflon which is only found in Cyprus.

Sports both on and in the water are readily available. Boat trips and diving excursions can be arranged from various venues.

History and antiquities can be found everywhere - Pafos archaelogical park and The Tombs of the Kings are fascinating. Many churches and monastries are open to the public with their brightly painted icons.


Coral Bay is a 5 minute drive from Peyia. The main beach here offers free parking, a selection of bars/restaurants, sunbeds and watersports such as paragliding and banana boats. It is a safe, sandy, Blue flag beach which is lifeguard patrolled and great for children - go lizard hunting in the rocks!

Further along is Corallia Beach - this is smaller but still has a bar/shop and sunbeds. This beach is surronded by rocks and has shallow clear water which is great for kids to snorkel in.


Paphos airport is 30 minutes away. Larnaca airport is about 1.5 to 2 hours away. Paphos airport is well served by both main and regional airports throughout the UK. Easyjet and the likes of Thomson have numerous flights. Car hire is highly recommended to take full advantage of you holiday although the bus service between Coral Bay, Paphos and the airport are good and taxis are readily available.


Peyia 10 minute walk. Coral Bay 5 minute drive. Paphos 20 minute drive. Akamas Peninsula - 20 minute drive.

Booking Notes:
A 25% deposit is required on booking, with the full balance payable 2 months prior to departure. An additional breakage deposit of £100 is required which is refunded within 7 days of departure subject to inspection. Payment can be made via Owners Direct or directly by BACs or cheque.

Changeover Day:
Preferred changeover days are Saturday or Wednesday. Alternative days may be accommodated subject to other bookings. Checkin/checkout times are negotiable subject to other bookings but will not be earlier then 10am.

Notes on prices:
If you are booking more then 1 week a discount of 10% will be given on the subsequent weeks.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
