Our two 'one bedroom' apartments are very light and spacious, beautifully furnished, having everything you could need to make your holiday comfortable and enjoyable. No Owners Direct service fees are applicable. Check out belasvistas.com. We provide all the essentials making you feel likes it's home, suitable for single travellers, couples or families of 3 or 4. As we have 2 apartments, ideal for going away with other family members or friends. We personally manage the properties so the standards are exceptionally high. We will personally meet you at the apartment on your arrival to show you everything you'll need to kick start your holiday and answer all your questions about the apartment and facilities, the resort and local area, places to visit, good places to eat as well as great places to visit, good local wines and different local foods to try.

Both apartments are located on the first floor, tastefully furnished with solid wood furniture designed with local interior designer. See separate descriptions of each apartment:

Unit 1 Belas Vistas 1 - (A/L 5803) is facing east and west with south facing aspects on both sides, in a prime position overlooking the ocean and open countryside. The front terrace with great sea views which has all day sun where you can watch the sun set in the evenings whilst having a pre dinner drink. There are also 2 balconies (lounge and bedroom), these are east facing so as well as the morning and early afternoon sun, provides a shaded spot later in the day. The lounge balcony has a sea view and views to the neighbouring villas and apartments and provide a quiet spot away from the pool.

Unit 2 Belas Vistas II (A/L 9474) - New in 2015. Facing west with south facing aspects on both sides, in a prime position overlooking the pool with views to the ocean and open countryside. The front terrace offers views to the south with a great sea view with morning sun to enjoy your breakfast. The 2 balconies on the lounge and bedroom are west facing so a great sunny spot and fantastic sunsets. Sunshade provided.

Both apartments are ideal for short stay however, also great for longer stay holidays with everything you could possibly need, reduced prices offered for bookings over 30 days during between November and March.

Ideally situated very close to the beach of Praia de Senhora da Rocha, close to the Portuguese town of Armacao de Pera, central for many attractions, waterparks and many great beaches.

We had been coming to the Algarve for our holidays and fell in love with it and like many people we dreamed of owning a property here. We decided to see if we could make it happen and applied to the TV programme ‘A Place in the Sun’, before filming started we stumbled upon Areias de Porches and fell in love with the apartment and area instantly. Two years later we took another large step and moved to Portugal permanently. We now live only 10 minutes away and personally manage the apartment ensuring it’s spotlessly clean and maintained to the highest standard. The best part is welcoming guests and seeing your reaction when you arrive and then hearing how much you've enjoyed your holiday and enjoyed staying in our apartment.

Perfect, peaceful holiday

We were completely wowed by the apartment (Belas Vistas 2). It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped, not that I cooked! There are lovely views from the two balconies over countryside all the way down to the sea and absolutely stunning sunsets. Lovely to sit and watch with a nice glass of local wine. It also has the quietest air con we've ever had!

There lots of little touches that made the holiday special - fruit and wine/beer on arrival and we paid for the welcome pack which was well worth it as we arrived very late at night. We had enough for breakfast and to last a few days.

Dressing gowns are provided as well as a little bottle of shower gel, soap and body lotion. There is a cool box, beach mats and towels to take to the beach as well as loungers for poolside sunbathing complete with cushions. The pool is lovely, quite small but very clean and the grounds are very well kept.

The beaches are a short walk away - the first has the restaurant and snack bar and is a smallish beach. You go through a tunnel in the cliff to the second beach which is larger. While we were there it was relatively empty.

There are a couple of shops within a few minutes walk and a supermarket about 10 mins walk from the apartment.

Lots of lovely restaurants all within easy walking distance. The beach restaurant is great, lovely staff, great food and brilliant views. We tried several restaurants and didn't have a bad meal. Lord's Bar is great for cocktails and music.

Stella was very friendly and helpful when she popped over on our first day and was easy to deal with when booking.

I would recommend this apartment.

Belas Vistas 2

Stella and Jon pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure all requirements are fulfilled and surpassed and we would love to return in the future for another stay.

Fantastic views. Spacious apartment. Beautiful decor. Peaceful location. Great Beach.

My husband and I stayed in Belas Vistas 2 with our 11 month old & 3 year old, while my parents stayed in Belas Vistas 1. I highly recommend these apartments to both couples & families, they are beautiful with modern décor & loads of personal touches.

The living/dining room has plenty space for the sofa bed and travel cot but the cot would fit in the bedroom too. The cot was new, clean and came with sheets, blankets and a padded mattress (much to our amusement, as half our case was taken up with our own travel mattress). Our 3 year old slept on the sofa bed; after falling asleep next to him a couple times I can vouch that it is very comfy and a good sized double. The bed is also extremely comfortable. We all slept well, between an excellent aircon system and shutters that provide total blackout, plus it's so quiet! The sofa bed is very easy to put away each day and there is loads of storage space throughout the apartment.

There is a large flat screen TV with quite a few British channels, including Cbeebies. There is also an up-to-date selection of DVDs & books.

The kitchen is brand new and has everything you could need - loads of pots, knives, cutlery, crockery and the all important bottle opener. We ended up eating in a lot more than expected because the kitchen was so good, and there is a high chair provided. We took the welcome pack, which was a great choice when arriving with 2 hungry children. It saved us a walk to the supermarket straight away and it is all really good quality produce. We also really appreciated the wine, beer and crisps. The supermarket (10 mins up the hill) stocks everything (nappies, toiletries, food, drink) and it's similarly priced to back home unless you are buying named brands like Heinz. There is also a wee shop at the apartments on the way back up from the beach that sells enough to make a meal.

Our 2 balconies overlooked one big pool, while the toddler pool and largest pool is just seconds away at the other apartment. (But Belas Vistas 1 faces away from the pools) There is a lovely view of the sea out the front and our balconies got the afternoon - evening sun, while BV1 balconies got the sun in the morning.

The only thing I would say if you have kids is be aware that there are a few sets of stairs at the pools and apartments, a bit of a pain with a buggy but I wouldn't let it put you off staying here. If you are looking for somewhere quiet but with plenty good restaurants & a lovely beach (& café) then book now!

The Perfect Holiday

Great location close to a beautiful beach and a well stocked supermarket. A quiet setting with bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. If you wanted a more lively area the main town ( lots entertainment and people watching here) was a 20 minute walk, down a steepish hill which was fine but we always got a taxi back (5Euros). Apartment was perfect in every way from the facilities to the decor,and so clean it was a well cared for and loved apartment. The owners were brilliant, there if you needed them, nothing had been over looked by Stella and Jon, who are determined that your holiday is relaxing and hassle free.

Immaculately Presented Apartment

A very nice property in a small development at the quieter end of the resort. Although not on the seafront, there are clear views of the surrounding countryside and the sea, from the balconies. An added bonus were the lovely sunsets. The main beaches are a ten minute stroll. Even at the height of the season there was space on each of the three beaches to spread out. We went to the smallest and quietest beach which was reached by a track adjacent to the entrance to the apartments. Stella and Jon were very friendly and helpful and clearly have high standards. The apartment was pristine and comprehensively equipped. We were only there for a week and chose not to have a car, which is fine, as there are a good range of bars, restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. If we had been there for a fortnight we would have hired a car for some of the time. Local taxi driver Michael was most helpful, his details are in the welcome pack. If you like pottery, Porches is the place to visit. We particularly liked the Porches Pottery which housed the Bacchus bar. Cocktails in Lords Bar should be treated with caution!! We would be delighted to go back and would strongly recommend this property to friends and family.

Beautiful apartment. Great view and great location

Myself, partner and 7 year old daughter stayed at the apartment for one week. I have to say the apartment was perfect, it was spotless clean and tidy and extremely well equipped with everything you would ever need for a couple of weeks stay or even a few months. The small touches really counted to us and made our stay that much more comfortable and relaxed. The bath robes were a really treat, along with kitchen welcome pack, a nice cold glass of wine / beer was a great treat on our arrival

Its about a 10min stroll to the beach ( that's with a small child ) which is perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed all the local beaches and collecting lots of amazing shells. We went to Aqua Land and Sand City and the transport / tickets can all be organised with the apartments behind these. Great days out for children and adults. Most day we lazed by the pools, and enjoyed lunch on the balcony looking out too sea. The fresh bread and cakes from the apartment down the road is a must.

We tried a few restaurants in the local area and couldn't fault any of them, I particular loved all the fresh fish, they even did chicken nuggets for my daughter !!

These apartments are in a great location to explore the Algarave, I am already recommending them to family and friends and we are likely to return at some point in the future.

We love the area because of its perfect location, being close to many beautiful beaches and also close to the countryside. It has a lovely relaxed, laid back feel about it, so is a fantastic place to 'get away from it all' but at the same time you have everything you would want close to hand. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance and the supermarket and shops are all within walking distance too, so it's close enough to everything you need. Being in central Algarve means it's a great place to be based for access to the rest of the Algarve including the waterparks, shopping centres, golf and much more. It's an ideal location for couples and families and anyone who wants a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The Portuguese town of Armacao de Pera is only a 5 minute drive away.

Special interest holidays:

Day Spas available at 5* resorts closeby. Water sports such as snorkelling, scuba diving, jet skiing, canoeing, sailing, surfing, kyaking and deep sea fishing are available. Also cycling throughout the region is a wonderful relaxing way to see the Algarve – organised cycling trips are available. Walk along the breathtaking coastal paths with views over cliffs and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with hidden creeks and spectacular cliff tops, peaceful countryside in the mountains still untouched by developers. Organised walks are available.

Bird watching - the Algarve is such a haven for birds and those who love to observe them. The region’s geography; wetlands, saltpans, marshes, and lakes both brackish and freshwater means it is a great spot for seeing many lovely species, such as White Stork, Bustard, Black-shouldered Kite, Hoopoe, Southern Grey Shrike, Lark and Cattle Egret. Autumn sees the migrations, with thousands of bird species making the journey from northern Europe to Africa.


A five minute stroll takes you to two of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve. Praia Nossa Senhora da Rocha, with full amenities and can also be accessed by car and Praia Nova, a quiet peaceful beach which can be accessed through a tunnel in the rocks from Praia Nossa Senhora da Rocha or down a flight of stairs and is generally a quieter beach.

Both are overlooked by the historic Nossa Senhora da Rocha chapel perched on the cliff tops, where there are panoramic views along the coast.

The nearest town is Armacao de Pera which has a 7km stretch of beautiful beache.


The journey from Faro airport to the apartment is a very direct route via the A22 motorway, electronic toll charges apply & takes approximately 40 mins to drive or you can take the (N125), approx. 50 mins. There is a choice of car hire companies at the airport or you could have your own private transfer from the airport that provides great value and we can arrange this for you, a car isn't essential unless you want to explore more than the local area, local taxis are cheap & readily available.

Areias de Porches is a small resort in the Village of Alporchinhos, a small beach resort, it's 5 minutes from Armacao de Pera a bigger beach resort and 5 minutes from Porches a small inland village. Alporchinhos has everything you need for your perfect holiday. There is one large supermarket and 2 local convenience stores within walking distance. There are also several shops, bars and restaurants all within walking distance too. A regular bus service runs east to Armacao de Pera through to Albufeira and west to Portimao and Lagos.

Porches is renowned for its pottery and ceramics. Many a day tripper heads here to the pottery factory to purchase delightful and distinctive blue, green and turquoise pottery.

The village of Porches, although small also has some history behind it. The parish church with its bell that rings twice on the hour and tolls every quarter thereafter, was built in 1886 on the ruins of its 16th century predecessor. Porches was granted a royal charter in 1286. It has a history that goes back 1000 years into Moorish and Roman rule. Princess Caroline of Monaco has amongst others been at mass in this church, while visiting the discreet resort of the nearby Vila Vita Hotel & Spa which offers five-star facilities available to non residents.

Algarve Shopping with its 22 restaurants, 130 shops including many designer shops, bowling alley and multi screen cinema is only a fifteen minute drive away and a new shopping centre in Portimao opened in April 2011.

Further afield there are many other places to visit such as Carvoiero, Vilamoura, Silves, Faro, and Portimao. A 20 minute drive eastwards takes you to the old fishing town of Albufeira (also now a centre for night life, the strip and old town areas). Further east (30 minutes from the apartment) is Vilamoura with its large marina which hosts some very glamorous vessels, it is a lively resort with numerous restaurants and bars and five golf courses.

Booking Notes:
Deposit required to secure your booking. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks before your arrival date. We require a €250 security bond payable on arrival and the bond will be returned within 72 hours of departure providing no damage has occurred.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible. The usual arrival time at the apartment is 2pm and departure time 10am, however we will try to accommodate your arrival and departure times, depending on other guests staying in the apartment.

Notes on prices:

Our personal service ensures that the apartment is spotlessly clean and we will personally meet you at the apartment when you arrive ensuring that you have all the information you need to get your holiday off to a great start. We provide some extra little touches such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, water, fruit and a bottle of wine for your arrival. Also those other necessities you need when you arrive such as washing up liquid, dishcloth, kitchen towel and toilet paper. We can also organise a food pack (for an additional €20) which includes cereal, bread, butter, jam, croissants and orange juice, especially useful if you arrive after the shops close. All linen and towels are provided and everything you need for the beach. We provide bathrobes for your use as well as some luxury bath products. We can organise cakes, flowers or champagne for all special occasions. There is a detailed information pack with all you need to know about the apartment and area.

There are also fan heaters for the cooler months. There is a safe for your valuables. A good selection of DVD’s, books and games IPod/MP3 docking station This is a non smoking apartment, however ashtrays are provided for use outside the apartment. We are sorry but pets are not allowed. Areias de Porches is a fairly new exclusive resort. It is a 2 storey small development of individually owned 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. This superb apartment has generous living accommodation including balconies on the lounge & bedroom and terrace at the front with views of the sea and countryside. Outside: The lounge & bedroom balconies and the front terrace all have tables and chairs and cushions for extra comfort. We provide 4 cushioned poolside sunbeds for you to use by the pools. Also everything you will need for a day on the beach including beach towels, a cool box, plastic plates and glasses. There are tennis rackets and balls for using at the full size tennis court (free of charge). Security guards patrol the complex for your extra peace of mind. The resort has 3 exclusive communal pools, 2 adult and a children’s pool Landscaped lawns, shrubberies, native trees and palms surround the apartments. Benches are placed around the resort to enjoy the beautiful sea and countryside views. There are ample parking spaces within the resort and a secure underground parking space for the sole use of guests to our apartment (automatic key entry to underground garage). The resort is peaceful and safe for families, couples and golfers alike.
