We are a couple from New Zealand and after many trips to Europe decided to move to the UK in 2003. We have always wanted a home in France and coming from a seafaring nation decided that Brittany with it's marvellous coastline was the place for us. So in October 2010 we purchased Le Roc St Vincent in Dinan, an old stone house with 2 cottages attached. Since then we have completely refurbished Albertine and Jasmine to a very high standard and a now ready for guests. We love Dinan with all it's wonderful old buildings and history, the lively port is a great place to wander along stopping for a coffee or a drink or for a meal in one of the many restaurants. We offer our guests a warm welcome so come visit us and join us for a BBQ on a hot summers night!
Robyn Hogan purchased this cottage in 2010
We bought the property for it's proximity to the sea, the friendliness of the locals and the ease of commuting from England.
We enjoy just being able to walk to the many shops, restaurants, port and roaming around the Ramparts of Dinan.
A non refundable deposit of 30% of the rental cost must be paid within 7 days of making your provisional booking. The balance must be paid not less than 8 weeks prior to the clients arrival at the Property.

We were very lucky to have chosen Jasmine for an 18 day stay in July. The cottage is charming and setting in an English style garden, is beautiful. Could not fault anything from the freshly made muffins on arrival to the friendliness of Robyn and little Molly. We used Jasmine as a base to explore surrounding areas - Mt St Michel, St Malo and other places, but we were just as happy pottering around in the village and surrounds. A glass of wine with Robyn and other guests in the garden after a busy day was a good ending. Thank you so much Robyn, for your hospitality, we feel we have become members of your family. We will be back.
Robyn's welcome was friendly. The property is very central, and was very clean and as described. The gardens are delight. Dinan is a pleasant, interesting town to explore and to use as a base for venturing further afield. If you are looking for a place to stay in Dinan, I would certainly recommend Jasmine.
We stayed in Jasmine Cottage for 8 nights and wished we'd booked for longer. Jasmine is such a spotlessly clean, superbly maintained cottage, perfectly positioned in the heart of the old town between the centre and the port. Both of those areas provide a wide choice of shops, restaurants and bars. If you like walking, the tow path along the river takes you to the "chocolate box" village of Lehon in one direction (about 1/2 an hour) and the village of Lyvet in the other (1.1/2 hours) which has a delightful marina side restaurant.
Back to Jasmine, the gardens of the cottage are a wonderful oasis, providing quiet seclusion and relaxation. The cottage is small but don't be put off by that. We had our doubts when we booked but needn't have worried. It is so well designed and furnished and beautifully cosy, it does provide everything you need. We loved it and would certainly go back. The added bonus with Jasmine is that Robyn (the owner) is so lovely and she provided all the little extras which made our stay so special. Butter, milk and home made jam along with delicious home made muffins removed the need to dash out to the shops as soon as we arrived, not to mention the wine and sparkling water in the fridge. We would certainly recommend it to family and friends (it was recommended to us) and we could not have made a better choice.
Great position to explore Dinan and lovely gardens with Molly the dog for company. A warm welcome from Robyn, especially the home made Muffins.cosy comfy fire with everything we needed x
Why has Jasmine got five stars? Because it is quite simply a fantastic gite with an idyllic garden, the most helpful of owners in a setting that is steeped in history and culture.
Even before we arrived Robyn was so helpful with directions and meeting us to drive us back to the gite to find a parking space.
Always attentive, yet discreet Robyn left us plenty of room to relax in the breathtaking terraced gardens.
Jasmine cottage is compact and bijou but it is lavishly furnished.
The ultimate recommendation is to tell all our friends and plan a return trip of our own.
Sue, my wife makes a general point of not returning to the same place twice when going on holiday. So her comment that a return to Dinan and another stay in Jasmine would be lovely shows the high esteem we have for Robyn and the special place that she has created. Jasmine provides ideal accommodation for two and is located on the most beautiful old cobbled street close to the historic centre of the lovely Breton town of Dinan. It is comfortable, well equipped and well laid out and would provide a very cosy hide-away in winter. During the summer months the real star is the outside space on several levels, with wonderful views over the roof tops of Dinan towards the old port area. The owner, Robyn, could not be more helpful during the booking process and is a perfect hostess during your stay. While there are many interesting towns, villages and beaches to explore in the surrounding area you could equally choose to relax in the town of Dinan itself, taking in the weekly market and enjoying the many lovely restaurants, bars and cafés. This is a great base for a holiday in beautiful Brittany.
