This beautiful luxury villa is situated in one of the best locations in the western Algarve. Close to the delightful town of Ferragudo, it is only 2 kms from Caneiros beach, arguably one of the best in the region. Surrounded by mature gardens the villa and pool are in a lovely, relaxing setting. Furnishings and decor are to a very high standard. Sleeps 6 people with 3 large bedrooms of which two have a double bed and one has two twin beds. I main bathroom plus 1 en-suite.

Activity and Interests


The delightful cove of Praia Caneiros is nearby, while the beaches of Pintadinho and Praia Grande are less than 4kms. The latter has plenty of room for beach games, with handball nets in place and a toddlers' playground. Take the river taxi from Ferragudo quayside to Praia da Rocha marina or Portimao, where you can find a variety of boats, from Vikings to Pirates, which will provide half-day and day excursions along river or coast.


Just 45 minutes motorway drive from Faro Airport, which is serviced by Ryanair, Easyjet, Monarch, Jet2, Flybe, Bmibaby, Globespan, BA and many other European airlines. Further afield, Lisbon and Seville are easy two and half hour motorway drives.


Nearest shop is 1 km as is beach. Nearest restaurant 200 metres. Ferragudo with its romantic quayside restaurants is 3.6kms; Carvoeira 5kms. There are two aqua fun centres, the nearest being Slide & Splash 5kms. The medieval castled village of Silves 13kms; the dolphins at Aquamarine 16kms; Guia Shopping Centre and Sir Cliff Richard's vineyard, where guided tours take place, 23 kms; Sao Vicente, the most south westerly point in Europe 45kms.

Further Details:

Services, including chemist, post office, health centre, newsagent selling various language newspapers, banks (with cashpoint) are available in Ferragudo, while larger supermarkets of Lidl are in nearby Parchal and Intermarche, which stocks an international variety of provisions, is on the outskirts of Carvoeiro. There is an indoor swimming pool in Lagoa and English speaking films can be seen in Portimao and Guia, where there is also 10 pin bowling. A high speed train service to Lisbon which makes a day trip to the capital well worth while.

English is widely spoken throughout the Algarve and the Portuguese are among the friendliest and most welcoming in Europe.

  • Notes on accommodation: The villa is strictly no smoking. It is furnished to a very high standard and all we ask is that you treat it with the same TLC that you would your own home. All rooms have double glazed windows, fly screens and security screens. A safe is available for the use of guests. There is ample room in the Master bedroom for a cot which can be provided at an extra charge. TV in sitting room has English channels. Double wrought iron gates lead to the calcada drive with secure parking for vehicles. Outside: Sunbeds provide relaxation by the 11m x 5m pool. The beautiful gardens are surrounded by high hedgerows. Two lawned areas provide shady respite from the sun when required and ample area for children to play. The built-in barbecue is available for convenient outdoor cooking. An oval wooden table and six chairs are adjacent to the barbecue area just off the kitchen hall. Its western outlook makes the ideal spot for evening drinks and meals and watching the sun set over the bay. The south facing bedroom and lounge terrace overlooks the pool. Please note that the pool is not fenced off and it is the responsibility of parents to provide constant supervision of young children in this area. Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board with iron, clothes airer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen, hand and bath towels are provided and changed weekly. Further maid service can be provided at extra charge on request. Other: Patio doors in the master bedroom overlook the garden and pool. Walk-in wardrobe, ceiling fan and air-con. Bed 2 and 3 have walk-in wardrobe, air-con. There is a well stocked library bookcase.
