St. Benedicts is a former old tinner's cottage built in the middle of a terrace on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Breage. The village has a local shop selling local produce, play area and the local public house 'The Queens' which serves a range of local foods and beers. Only 3 miles away is the historic harbour of Porthleven which has a variety of shops and restaurants. The cottage is ideally situated with St. Ives, Penzance and Lands End only short drives away. The beach at Praa Sands is approx 10 minutes drive from the cottage and is ideal for families.

About Dominic and Hannah Godbold

Our cottage has been in Dominic's family since the 1970's and we took over the running of it as a holiday cottage in 2007.

We are have 2 young children and enjoy lovely family holidays at the cottage and our children love the beach at Praa Sands.

Wonderful and charming

This little cottage is so comfortable, clean and has everything for a seaside holiday, including buckets and spades! A lovely garden to the front with small courtyard to the rear, with washing line. Pub in walking distance and garden centre with exceptional cafe. There is also a park in the village too. Praa Sands is just down the road. Head for Maggie's Patch - the last car park which is literally on the beach. £3 all day but get there early. Recommended.

Refuse: Refuse is collected weekly on a Wednesday. Please leave all bags of rubbish over the back gate on a Tuesday night ready for collection in the morning. Recycling is collected fortnightly on a Wednesday. Again please leave over the back gate/wall on Tuesday night for collection on Wednesday morning. Please ensure split up correctly or this will not be taken.

Booking Notes:
We ask for a non-refundable deposit of £100 at the time of booking. Payment by cheque or bank transfer. The remaining balance should be paid at least 4 weeks prior to your stay.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday. You can access the cottage from 15.00 on the day of arrival and we ask that you leave by 10.00 on your day of departure.
Off-season 3 or 4 night stays (Fri-Mon and Mon-Fri) can be booked, please contact us for availability.

Notes on prices:
We ask for a non-refundable deposit of £100 at the time of booking. Payment within 7 days by cheque or bank transfer to secure booking. Balance is due 4 weeks prior to your arrival date. We charge an additional £15 per week for your pet.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The cottage is heated by night storage heaters. We allow one small dog at an addtional cost of £15 per week. Rubbish is collected weekly on Wednesdays, recycling is fortnightly on Wednesdays. Outside: There is a small courtyard garden to the rear of the cottage with a small table and two chairs, rotary washing line and small built in barbecue. There is a graveled parking bay at the front of the cottage for one car. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen (EXCEPT COT BEDDING) & towels are included (1 hand towel & 1 bath towel per person). The cottage is cleaned every changeover day which is a Saturday.
