The romantic house "La Haute Colette" was built in a timeless style in the woods 2 km far from Seillans - a picturesque Provencal village. Built 35 years ago, according to the ideas of a German artist, who has retired in the summer to paint in the idyllic Provencal peace. He followed the famous artist Max Ernst who already lived there at that time. The house is very tastefully decorated and suitable for the area, consisting of a living room with open fireplace, an attached dining area for max. 10 pers, a kitchen, five bedrooms - one of them with another open fireplace, four bathrooms, a guest rest room, a heatable indoor pool and a spacious park with wonderful views over the countryside.

The house has about 350 square meters and the park about 12,000 square meters.

Splendid holiday hide-away

Two gorgeous weeks of complete holiday feeling. House extremely well looked after. Friendly welcome by housekeeper and owner very supportive in fulfilling extra needs while traveling with small children. Excellent recommendation of (small - less known) restaurants and sites! Will definitely come back and bring friends since the house provides three "suites" so that two families with children can stay at the same time without lacking their privacy. The bathrooms are big and with windows which I regard as another important asset. Garden very well keept and inviting. Indoor swimming-pool also big advantage when travelling with children, in that they are not constantly exposed to the sun and can use it on rainy days as well. Lots of things to do in the village and surrounding area. Thank you very much!

traumhaft schönes Ferienhaus

Sehr komfortables und großzügiges Haus dabei aber auch gemütlich. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Ruhige ungestörte Lage. Schöner Ausblick vom Grundstück. Alle Versorgungsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Durch das Innenschwimmbad auch in der Zwischensaison optimal nutzbar.

Très bel emplacement

La maison a du charme et est très bien située à l'écart au calme.

Dommage que l'annonce n'aie pas spécifié que les 2 chambres avec un double lit ne soit séparées que par une tenture... Cela crée une proximité compliquée à gérer !!!

Owner's Response: Merci pour votre commentaire. Nous regrettons que vous n'avez rien mentioné de votre problème, quand nous avons vous contacté au début de votre séjour. Comme vous avez dit que vous etiez tres content avec la maison, nous n'avons pas eu aucune chance de vous informer, que nous avons un mur double flexible qu'on peut mettre entre les deux chambres à dormir. Cela est vraiment dommage, parce que cette Installation spéciale permet d'avoir deux chambres a dormir au rez-de-chaussée completement séparé.

There are excellent restaurants in the locality and many auberges: Hotel Restaurant Deux Rocs or La Gloire de mon Père in heart of historic Seillans (selected as one of the most beautiful villages in France) and Castelleras between Seillans and Fayence are three of our favourites. Also recommended are Moulin de la Camandoule - between Seillans and Fayence, and Les fontaines d'Aragon - Montauroux.

Lac de St Cassien and the Gorges du Verdon offer many outdoor activities, and there are a number of vineyards and perfume factories which offer tours.

Tennis courts in Seillans available upon request (extra fee).
