La Papalaya is a beautiful and conveniently situated villa that mixes both modern and traditional. One of few rental villas located in the countryside yet walking distance (1 mile) along a flat, comfortable path into the centre of the beach town of Puerto Pollensa (from where it's another 300 metres walk to the beach) and a brief cycle ride to Pollensa old town - the villa has two large sheltered terraces, a private swimming pool with roman steps and barbecue area enclosed within a walled and mature, evergreen garden. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms. The property features Air Conditioning, WIFI, UK television with full Sky package (including On demand Sky Sports, Sky Movies and Kids channels), Bicycles with helmets, a PS3 with lots of games, Children's swim jackets, a house iPad with plenty of local recommendations, a stocked Nespresso machine, Lego and lots of board games, books and DVDs.

The way we arrange booking is with a 30% deposit to be paid either via UK bank transfer or with credit card, and then the remainder to be paid upon arrival, either in cash when you get here or via another transfer which can be made up to the day of your arrival.

About Craig Macintosh

The house is owned by myself and my partner, Maria Bennassar, who is the granddaughter of the late, local painter, Dionis Bennassar. We also run the museum which is dedicated him and worth a visit.

We live in Pollensa, just by the main square and are always available should you need us.

Notes:
The house is located 20 metres off the road which links the old town of Pollensa to Puerto Pollensa. The grounds are enclosed behind a wall 2 metres high and the garden and pool area are at the back of the house, facing the mountains. The footpath which leads into Puerto Pollensa directly from the villa is 2 metres wide and runs off the road and parallel to it by a distance of 4 metres, separated by grassland. The distance into town from the villa is less than a mile away and as such the majority of our guests tell us they use the footpath as their main means of getting into town. The private parking space at the villa measures 5 x 6.5 metres and the drive leading to the house measures just over 3 metres wide at its narrowest part.
