Thanks for a fabulous week. Everything was perfect. You made it very difficult for us to want to go out and visit the surrounding areas. Many thanks for your warm hospitality.

Thank for a wonderful stay in this little piece of heaven. We will return to Canada with Le Marche in our heads for months to come.

Our second stay in Monsampietro Morico (First in Casa Ciliegia) and it was just as good as the first. The welcome pack is a statement of the owners intent to make your stay as enjoyable as it can be! The hosts were both informative about the area and sights to see, knowledgeable about wonderful places to go and eat and unobtrusive in and around the villa. A well-stocked fridge, additional jams and home-made delights added to our pleasurable and delightful stay. It passed all too quickly!
My husband, daughter and I spent the last week of July in the very beautiful Casa Ciliegia. It really was the holiday we had been searching for!
A warm welcome awaited us - Lona and Gavin are so kind and thoughtful - on hand to deal with any questions or make suggestions to enhance our experience of the local area. We were very grateful for the superb welcome basket of delicious foods (cheeses, prossicuto, breads, croissants, homemade jam, wines, teas and coffees etc), everything we needed to settle in for the evening without a mad dash to the nearby supermarket.
Casa Ciliegia has the most amazing ambiance, the views are breathtaking and the peace and quiet is just what the doctor ordered! The furnishings and linens are pure, white, clean and luxurious. Being a keen cook, I'd really begun to enjoy preparing food (even on my holiday!) in the very well-equipped kitchen. The garden surrounding the villa is exquisite and is lovingly cared for by Lona.
We enjoyed immersing ourselves in the slower pace of life, lapped up the atmosphere of local restaurants in hilltop towns and spent many hours chilling by the sparkling pool! We also enjoyed a drive to the coast, a wine tasting at the local cantina and a visit to the nearby pottery.
To top it all we very much enjoyed the company of the couple staying at Casa Cappella! What more could we have asked for!
We are already looking forward to next summer and a two week stay instead of one!! Thank you so much Lona and Gavin for sharing your little bit of heaven with us x
This was an absolutely amazing place. Lona and Gavin helped make us feel very welcome straight away with a lovely array of food and great local wines, and later we got to sample Lona's fantastic limoncello. The property was just as described, clean, fresh and well furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. The views from the rooms and the terrace were absolutely amazing, overlooking fields of rolling hills, tiny hilltop
villages and ... peace! The pool was very refreshing after a hot day's sightseeing and it is clear that Lona puts a lot of time and effort in maintaining the gardens. She and Gavin were extremely helpful in suggesting and booking restaurants for us and helping arrange a moonlit horse ride, which was incredible. Would have no hesitation at all in recommending Casa Ciliegia. Thanks for a great time!
My wife and I stayed for a wonderful month in Casa Ciliegia with the wonderful hosts Lona and Gavin in close attendance if there was anything we wanted.
First of all, the accommodation (we had a two-bedroom, two bathroom villa) was comfortable, well equipped and above all had a wonderful view of the fields and a neighbouring hilltop village.
We used Casa Ciliegia as a base to systematically travel through much of Le Marche, at least from Urbino to
We returned to Casa Ciliegia for the third time this summer, and as always were assured of a really warm welcome from Lona and Gavin who are the perfect hosts and who ensured that our holiday was totally relaxing. The house, pool, gardens and views from the property are all so magnificent that it is difficult to tear yourself away to visit the surrounding countryside and hilltop towns in this beautiful region of Italy. We shall definitely be returning again next year as we know that we could never find another holiday home to better this one.
