Self-contained stone and brick house with luxurious accommodation. Stone- tiled throughout with ceiling and floor fan in bedroom. The bedroom has a 180 x 210cm leather bed with luxury comfort mattress and 'White Company' Egyptian cotton bedlinen. The bedroom overlooks stunning valley views. The en-suite contemporary bathroom provides double sinks on an oak unit, double sized shower with drench shower fitting, large illuminated mirror, chrome towel rails, wall hung toilet. Towels, bath mats and pool towels are included. Sitting room with sofa, contemporary furnishing, Bluetooth speaker, ''Smart' TV's and USB chargers for phones and tablets. Custom made kitchen with stone colour units, quartz worktops, integrated dishwasher, chrome oven, induction hob and extensively equipped. Private portico with dining for 4 people and gas BBQ. Guests can also use front of portico on main house, with comfortable sofas / chairs and a fridge with complimentary wines, beer & soft drinks

If you are looking to combine breath-taking views and tranquil living with contemporary comfort and style then Casa Cappella and Casa Ciliegia make the perfect choice. Located in the heart of unspoilt Le Marche, each of the stone houses is a treasure, having been lovingly restored with a close eye to detail and a very high quality finish. The houses sit either side of the swimming pool, each with its own private covered dining terrace and enjoy sweeping views of the valleys as they rise to the mountain range. During the summer months, you will be welcomed at the many traditional festas, which celebrate local wines and produce from fish to fungi. There are a wide choice of local restaurants, in the surrounding villages, with the nearest just a short, 500 metre, walk away. At the coast, which is a 25 minute drive, will find 'blue flag' beaches extending for many miles with a great many fresh fish / seafood restaurants & bars or drive for about 45 minutes and you are in the mountains with fresh water glacial lakes and golden eagles soaring overhead. If you want to escape the quiet life for a day Ascoli Piceno is close as are the fashionable shops and designer outlet at Citivitanova Marche.

Notes on accommodation: The houses both enjoy stunning views and both face onto the shared pool. The finish and quality of furnishing is extremely high. Outside: Casa Cappella and Casa Ciliegia are set around the pool along with the main house. The pool has wide terraced areas for sun loungers and an outdoor pool shower. The property is set within landscaped gardens with chestnut terracing, cypress trees and many fruit trees. Views from houses are stunning and not overlooked by any other houses. Parking for 4 cars is available and the property is accessed by secure, private gates. The local village is minutes away and has an ancient 1000 year church and wonderful views. The nearest restaurant La Bibioteca is a 10 minute walk and offers outstanding 4/5 course dining for 25euro pp. The local towns of Valmir & Montottone provide shopping, butchers, fishmonger, baker, shops, banks & pharmacies, bars & restaurants..

Truly special place to stay

We love Italy and have visited many times, but Le Marche & Casa Cappella has been the best by far!

Casa Cappella is just beautiful with all the facilities you could want and more.

Lona and Gavin were exceptional hosts, extremely helpful and welcoming ... providing all the local infomation and an incredible welcome basket, figs will never taste the same again!!

We are already planning our next trip!

Très bel endroit de vacances

Endroit agréable et calme. Gîte propre, très bien décoré et confortable. Cuisine super équipée. Les propriétaires (parlant l'anglais) sont discrets et charmants. Un magnifique panier de bienvenue (produits et vins locaux) et un frigo bien garni sont prévus. Belle région et nombreuses visites de villes et village à proximité. Egalement mer toute proche. Là aussi Lona et Gavin vous conseilleront les endroits à visiter, les restaurants de la région et les domaines viticoles. Région méconnue mais très attachante, gens très sympas. Et prix bien plus doux que dans d'autres régions d'Italie ! L'absence de climatisation ne gêne pas. Le gîte reste frais même après plusieurs jours à 35°c de température extérieure. Un ventilateur est présent dans la chambre.

Bref, des vacances impeccables !

A place to return to

My sister, brother-in-law and I shared Casa Ciliegia for a week. The accommodations were perfect for two couples or in our case three people. We enjoyed having separate living spaces with the kitchen in the upper level where I stayed. The property is located in a beautiful and quiet area of Italy. This was our first visit to Le Marche and we'll be back! Casa Cappella was very well-maintained and the furnishings, bedding, towels and other amenities were tasteful, well-designed and maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped with a dishwasher, a new induction cooktop, and a more than adequate refrigerator and freezer. Lona and Gavin had stocked the kitchen and refrigerator with an abundant amount of food and sundries. We greatly appreciated being able to prepare our first meals without having to drive to a grocery. Lona and Gavin have created and maintained a very special landscape surrounding the three structures. We enjoyed their harvests of different fruits and herbs. Lona also shared jams that she made with the produce from their fruit trees. They have also worked very hard to provide a lot of written information about restaurants, things to do and see, etc. Both Lona and Gavin were very willing to recommend restaurants and outings when asked and made reservations for us multiple times. While we were there, a young British couple were staying in the other rental for two weeks. It was their third visit (including their honeymoon 6 years ago). They told us they were already planning their next visit! Lona and Gavin treated us like we were new friends, not paying guests, in a genuine and heart-warming manner. They are fascinating and gracious people. I highly recommend Casa Cappella and Casa Ciliegia and I plan to return with my wife to introduce her to this beautiful region of Italy and to Lona and Gavin.

The ultimate!!!! Everything is absolutely 'top notch'. The setting, the property the location, the amenities, the welcome pack, the cleanliness, facilities, the high specifications. Gavin and Lona are the very BEST hosts. The ultimate combination of giving you privacy but always being on hand to help. Forget "Ask Jeeves" .... just "Ask Gavin" !!!!

Ein traumhaftes kleines Häuschen mit allem Komfort wie beschrieben. Das Bad ist wunderschön mit großer Dusche und zwei Waschbecken. Das Wohnzimmer ist klein, aber dafür gibt es draußen sehr viel Platz auch unter der überdachten Veranda. Für schlechtes Wetter kann man sich vom Vermieter Filme ausleihen. Im Haus gibt es keinen Tisch zum Essen was uns nicht störte, da man auch bei Regen draußen sitzen konnte. Für jedes Haus gibt es draußen sogar noch einen Gas- und einen Kohlegrill. Gas und Kohle sind inklusive gewesen. Die Küche ist vollausgestattet inkl. Geschirrspüler und Toaster. Es gibt ein Willkommenspaket, dass wirklich für das erste Frühstück und Abendessen ausreichend ist. Der Vermieter Gavin ist supernett und bei Fragen stets ansprechbar. Der tolle Pool wird täglich gereinigt. Die empfohlenen Restaurants waren alle super und werden auch von uns empfohlen. Tolle Gegend, super Essen, was will man mehr.

Special interest holidays:

Macerata hosts the internationally renowned opera season during July and August at the open air and ancient Sferisterio ampitheatre. Throughout the summer and autumn months, there are numerous local festas, which celebrate many traditions and offer a variety of local foods and wines.


The houses are within a 25 minute drive of the Adriatic coast, which offers hundreds of kilometres of 'blue flag' beaches many served by coastal, resort towns. All of the towns offer summer beach dining and you will have a huge choice of fresh produce all locally sourced and at very reasonable prices. Most of the towns offer great shopping and larger towns such as San Benedetto del Tronto and Civitanova Marche offer fabulous designer shopping. Nearby upmarket outlets include Tods and Prada.


The houses are equidistant from Ancona and Pescara airports both served by the Ryanair budget airline. Car rental is available at each airport. Car hire is essential for the houses and to access local shopping and dining facilities. Travel time to the houses is approx. 1 hour from Ancona airport and 1.15 from Pescara. Train services are available -along the coast - offering easy and low cost travel to cities such as Rome, Bologna and Florence.

Upon arrival you will be greeted and shown around your house and provided with keys. A welcome pack is provided which fresh groceries beer and wine. Each house contains a file of local information, places to visit, local wineries and restaurants.

Bed linen, bathroom and pool towels are changed every week of your stay.
