Newly constructed, modern apartment on the top floor with fantastic views of the sea. Balcony facing the sea. Shared terrace with barbecue. Cabanas is an old fishing village with a newly renovated Promenade by the sea. Here you find a wide range of restaurants, cafés and bars, both the typically genuine Portuguese as well as the more international cuisine. The 3 km beach is accessible by a short boat ride. The Benamor golf course is within walking distance. The beautiful and historic city of Tavira is only a 5 min drive away. Here you can find many nice restaurants in the old city center. Most of your shopping needs are met at the new Gran Plaza shopping centre. You can also walk from Cabanas to Tavira. The walk takes you over the Ria Formosa natural park. In close proximity is also the Mata da Conceicao-woods with walking paths.

About the Owner

Presently Tom is working in Mozambique and Helena is working in Guinea-Bissau. We have lived and worked many years in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia. We always try to spend our summer vacation in this apartment. Occasionally we have been there during the winter season as well.

It has been a dream for a long time to have our own apartment in Portugal. Helena has family and strong ties to Portugal which was one reason why we wanted an apartment here. Being able to come to the sun and the warmth of Portugal was another.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 30 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The beachfront at Cabanas is within 20 min walking distance. The beach itself is accessible through a short boat trip.

Travel:

30 km to Faro airport.

Distances:

The town of Tavira is 5km away. There you also find the newly opened Gran Plaza shopping center.

Being on the topfloor this apartment has a magnificent view from the balcony and also from the roof-terrace. It's very conveniently located between the Benamor Golf course and the beach, walking distance, so one has access to both golf and the beach at the same time. The recently renovated beach front Promenade with restaurants and shops is a fantastic place to enjoy the afternoons/evenings. The beautiful and historic city of Tavira is only 5 min drive away.
