2A Redcliffe Sleeps 2/4 (1 Bedroom)

2A has the same huge picture window overlooking one of the Gower's finest beaches. A flat screen tv, hi-fi, dvd and Internet. The lounge is light and airy with a comfortable bed settee and two armchairs. With a radiator in each room you can be assured that the apartment will be warm and cosy even during the coolest of periods.

The bathroom is accessed via the lounge and also the bedroom. Included is a shower, wash hand basin and a toilet. The kitchen is new and has a natural beachy feel about it. The sea is reflected in the glass splash back of the cooker!

A cot and high chair are included but please state if they are required. Each apartment has a hard wired heat and smoke detector.

The Redcliffe apartments are in a unique location, practically on the beach with wonderful coastal walks either side of the bay. One will take you to Langland Bay with its beach huts, cafes and Langland Brasserie which wonderfully situated to take restaurant dotted around its bay. To the right of Caswell Bay and in direct contrast is Pwll Du Bay wild and remote unchanged over the period of time3A is the most spacious of all the apartments at Redcliffe with a huge picture window in the lounge to take full advantage of the stunning sea views. Its private door is to the rear of the building, (down 8 steps) a short distance from the driveway. From the front of the building 3A is on the first floor but Redcliffe being built on a split level means the apartment is actually situated on the ground floor from.

Sorry a strict Redcliffe policy says that no animals are allowed to stay in the apartments.

We moved from the Gower 22 years ago to live closer to family but decided to buy a seaside apartment as a weekend retreat to catch up with old friends and enjoy what the Gower has to offer. The purchase of the second apartment was I'm afraid, sheer indulgence! Succumbed to temptation - the caretaker had phoned us to say next door was up for sale!

Although now, having moved back into the area neither of us feel like selling either apartments!

We are both retired, my husband, as a vet who worked long hard hours found it difficult to settle quietly into retirement !!! He is kept busy seeing that the high standard of the apartments are maintained and I'm kept busy managing both properties

We enjoy the opportunity of meeting new people and are happy to provide local knowledge when asked.

It's just a wonderful seaside location! The apartments have uninterrupted views overlooking the stunning bay at Caswell in the Gower peninsular. It takes just seconds to run down along Redcliffe's private access onto the sandy beach below. We love to listen to the sound of the sea and watch the ever changing views from the apartment's window. As impressive, are the changing skies and to see "the weather" approaching from the horizon. A stimulating environment for a painter, a writer or for just ordinary folk like us who are looking for peace and relaxation. It certainly feeds our souls.

What makes this apartment unique

Most definitely the ability to switch off and unwind. Be lazy if we choose, or take a stroll to the next bay along the coastal path and sip a glass of wine on the balcony at the Langland Brasserie. We love to watch the surfers entertain us for hours in the comfort of our armchairs or to join them ( in an imaginary way!) It's just a wonderful place to be!

Notes

Booking Notes:
A £100 booking deposit is required with the balance paid 8 weeks prior to the holiday period. By cheque or banker's draft.


Changeover Day:
Generally Saturday change over in the busier periods although flexible for shorter lets. Vacate by 10am and arrive after 3pm, however if no prior or pending booking we can extend this period. We try to be as flexible as possible.

Notes on prices:
Short lets in May must start or end on a Saturday.
The price during low season (£350/£370 per week) is approx £70-£75 per night weekend days Fri, Sat and Sun. £60-£65 per night for week days.

We do the change over and laundry ourselves so are able to keep short break prices to a minimum.

We endeavour to give value for money and prefer to fill our weeks then see them empty.
Bringing your own bed linen and bathroom towels will save you £20.

Notes on accommodation: Each kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge with small freezer section. Lots of storage cupboards, and an abundance of cooking utensils. Outside: There is an electric gated entrance and private parking within the grounds. The gardens are well maintained and shared with all the residents. There is a private route (steps)to the beach from the grounds of Redcliffe. A short walk across the beach takes you to Surfside cafe which serves wonderful snacks and coffee.
