The villa is located on the edge of the village of Santa Catarina dos Quartos just outside the market town of Loule. The location is very peaceful with the most spectacular panoramic views of the countryside and is the perfect location to unwind and enjoy the Algarve and yet is within easy access to the beaches, golf courses and towns of Loule, Almancil and Vilamoura. The villa is new in construction and has been appointed to a very high standard. The villa benefits from air conditioning and integrated sound system throughout and is extremely spacious with both indoor and outdoor living areas able to accommodate 8 guests comfortably. There are a number of terraces, protected by perspex above pool, and a garden each catching the sun or providing shade throughout the day, the pool area has an outdoor shower and sunloungers and parasols for use by guests. There are TV's installed in both the lounge and the master bedroom suite and a games room with table tennis and bar football.

I am a working Mum and have been married to my husband, Jim, for 30 years. We have three boys aged 24, 20 and 18. We bought the villa in 2011 very much to be our second home having dreamed of doing so for many years.

Stunning Luxury Family Villa - Heated Private Pool

Casa de Canhao is an excellent family owned villa with luxury furnishings and attention to detail second to none! Making our experience the most relaxing and comfortable self-catering option to date. The villa is equipped throughout to the highest standard, enabling us to cater for every occasion. Personally we particularly enjoyed the outdoor bbq area situated adjacent to the kitchen with outdoor seating area too, fabulous for making the most of the weather and sun sets!

Situated in a quiet rural picturesque area overlooking the nearby historic town of Loule with its daily market and a variety of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Relaxing by the pool side on the most comfortable sun loungers complete with complimentary towels to use! Providing a shaded seating area for rest bite for those who need a break from the sun & heat.

The heated swimming pool is a must for all the members of the family! Providing endless entertainment for our children.

The villa is ideally suited to visit the nearby famous golf resort of Vale de Lobo and number golden beach resorts to choose from within easy reach by car.

I have now been to Casa de Canhao on three occasions and never been disappointed with the standard and cleanliness of this villa.

Once again our expectations have been exceeded, making it a great family holiday. Most Enjoyable!

Everything you need for a fantastic holiday!

We arrived to find a beautiful villa which looks equally as impressive in person, with large and spacious rooms throughout with lovely modern furnishings. We enjoyed lazy days outside in the heated pool and long evenings spent on the side patio having bbq's.

If we fancied something different however, due to the great location of the villa we had the choice of the beautiful Portuguese town of Loule to enjoy the local culture, or going down to the beach front to enjoy some amazing food in the beach bars.

The owners were incredibly helpful during our stay at the villa and couldn't have made us feel more welcome.

I would absolutely recommend this villa to my friends and family and shall be returning in the future.

Great Villa, Great Location, Great Holiday

Set in the hills facing Loule, this private villa has views across the countryside.

We stayed at this modern and comfortable villa in September 2015. The decor is contemporary and the villa very clean and had everything we required, with a great layout and good sized bedrooms.

The weather was still hot enough to be able to swim everyday in the pool (heated) and laze on the poolside loungers or read in the shade of the terrace. The local amenities are excellent and shops/supermarkets just 10 minutes away, the facilities at the villa allowed us to cook or BBQ outside, whilst the town of Loule, a short drive away has an excellent local market, coffee/patisseries shops and great local authentic Portuguese Tapas bars and restaurants. The beaches of golden sand are a mere 25 mins drive away with even more great restaurants and facilities for all the family. Our favorite end to the day would be to watch the sun go down whilst relaxing in good company and great wine.

This holiday gave us the freedom to enjoy the cosmopolitan beach resorts and also the traditional Portuguese villages and local life, for all of this the villa is ideally located.

The owners were very helpful when we booked and provided lots of information on the local area, the villa was exactly as described. We would highly recommend this villa and its location to anyone considering booking, as we had an outstanding holiday there.

Fantastic house and pool in a great location

Arrived with family to find a fantastic villa with enough space for everyone to find their own place! This villa is amazing, wonderful interior design with a boutique hotel feel to it. Top quality fittings and fixtures throughout. The large kitchen is incredibly well equipped with french doors leading onto outside eating areas so that you can enjoy your breakfast on one of the sun terraces. All the bathrooms are great with very effective showers. We loved all the terraces with views into the countryside. There is a wonderful pool and pool area which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The villa is very conveniently located in a great area, we enjoyed the local restaurants on the harbour with excellent food, walked along the beach and ate in the beach restaurants with lovely views of the sea. The Portuguese village of Loule is a few minutes away and is full of character with lots of street cafes, a marvellous local market and craft and art shops selling jewellery and lovely gifts to bring back. The owners were very helpful when we booked and the villa was exactly as described also spotlessly clean and everything immaculate. We would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to book, as we had an exceptional holiday there.

Having taken holidays in the Algarve for 30 years initially with my parents we have always dreamed of owning our own home in the Loule area. This dream has now materialised for us and we are delighted to offer our home for others to share in the pleasure of being in such a beautiful area. Of all of the places on the Algarve, Loule is far enough away from the coast to feel like real Portugal and yet is within striking distance of some the most wonderful beaches not only in Portugal but in Europe, combined with several championship golf courses nearby. It makes it the ideal location for those seeking a completely relaxing break or an active holiday playing golf, walking, cycling or participating in water sports on the coast. The surrounding area is also abundant in great restaurants and bars with a mixture of typical Portuguese and International Cuisine on offer.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 17 Kilometres Nearest Train : Almancil at 5 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Vale Do Lobo at 12 Kilometres Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful beaches at Vale Do Lobo, Quinta Do Lago and Vale do Garrao are a 15 minute drive away. Beach parasols and loungers are available at each location to hire. With water sports available during high season. Guests can also use the beach recliners and parasols from the villa. There are also an abundance of beach restaurants and cafes available. Vilamoura marina is 20 minutes away by car where boat trips are readily available to explore the Algarve coastline or for fishing trips.

Travel:

Faro airport is 17km, 15 minutes away by car.

A car is essential with this property, please ask when enquiring for the details of our preferred car hire provider.

Distances:

Loule 2km away with cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping and market.

Almancil 4km away with restaurants, supermarkets and shopping and water park.

Faro 18km away, the capital of the Algarve with marina, shops and restaurants.

Vilamoura 12km away with marina, shops, and restaurants.

Monchique mountains 70km with spectacular views over the entire Algarve.

The nearest supermarket is in Loule (Continente) a 5 minute drive from the villa.

Further supermarkets, Modelo, Lidl are also available in Loule as is the indoor market for fresh produce. Banks, pharmacy, dentists and doctors and petrol stations are also readily available in Loule or Almancil.

Restaurants are plentiful in Loule, Almancil, Vale Formosa and along the coast at Vale Do Lobo, Quinta Do Lago, Vale Do Garrao and Vilamoura.

A 25% deposit is required on booking the villa. In the event of cancellation this deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 75% (plus a £300 security deposit) must be paid 8 weeks prior to occupancy. Once full payment has been received you will receive details of how to locate and access the villa and some FAQ's.
Dependant upon time of arrival you will be met within 24 hrs by our propery manager who will provide you with information relating to the villa and answer any questions you may have.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is normally Saturday although alternatives maybe available on request.
Arrival time is after 3pm with departure no later than 10am to allow for villa cleaning and laundry change, alternative times may be arranged if practicable.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the villa in GBP per week and includes air conditioning. Discount may be available for bookings greater than 2 weeks or late availability.

The Villa is located in a very peaceful area just outside Loule and yet is within a short drive of all the facilities Loule, Almancil, Faro and Vilamoura have to offer. This villa is architect designed and is unique in the area to be so modern with most property available to rent being of a traditional Portuguese style. As Loule is just far enough away from the coast to get the feel for "real" Portugal you also gain the benefits of that reflected in the cost of dining in the local restaurants where you are always guaranteed a warm welcome. The Villa benefits from the most wonderful views and having several terraces and garden you have the opportunity to enjoy the sun or seek the shade for the whole of the day at various points around the property. This is truly a dream home.

The Terrace railings have perspex fitted for child safety. Steps lead down from the terrace to the pool area which has sunloungers and parasols on a large terrace with a 10m x 6m heated pool.
