House Nr. Castiglione Messer Raimondo, Abruzzo, Italy - Picturesque Location, Half Hour To Beach And One Hour to mountains
If its complete relaxation and tranquillity you’re after, this spacious and comfortable house is ideal. Nestling in the green hills and valleys, between Bisenti and Castiglione Messer Raimondo, with amazing views of the Gran Sasso mountain range. Ideal for walking. Take the chance to practise speaking Italian, you’ll find very few English speaking locals in this truly unspoilt region. Closest beach half an hour away at Montesilvano. Or mountain walking, approximately one hour away at the ski resort, Prati di Tivo, or Campo Imperatore and other areas. Plenty of outdoor fun and relaxation at the house, with use of private pool, table tennis, mountain bike, hammock, sunbeds and barbecue. The land around the house provides great potential for exploration,

A piece of paradise
About the Owner
We have had so many great times at the house on our own or in larger groups with friends and family, it is such a beautiful area and the house and surroundings provide complete relaxation and tranquility. I can honestly say photos just do not do the views from the house justice, a view shared by all who have been there

Guestbook comments from the owner
June 2013 we have taken a villa holiday for many years, of which at least 5 in Abruzzo and we all agreed yours was the best house we have stayed in. Loved the kitchen onto the terrace layout for eating with plenty crockery, glasses etc. pool area was spacious with comfortable loungers. All bedrooms were very comfortable lovely beds and enough hanging space to unpack. I don't need to go into raptures to you over the views!! Any queries were promptly answered by your management couple over there, so a fabulous holiday was had by us all. Also made stress free by prompt replies to e mails, clear booking form and excellent directions to the house.. Only minor issue was the temperamental washing machine!! Thank you from us all ..Jo Christmas
We found the house incredibly spacious and designed to aid relaxation! The views of the Grand Sasso mountains are spectacular, and the foreground of rolling hills. We loved the upstairs layout, particularly the kitchen next to the veranda

A piece of paradise
This house does exactly what it says on the tin ,its comfortable. its peaceful, its beautiful, its so well equipped,it was a perfect base for our family of 8 adults to completly chill out . The fact that the owners are willing to share this piece of paradise is beyond us , we were there for a week we relaxed and really chilled out ,the weather was perfect but even if it had rained there was enough to do ,the level of service from the couple that look after the house is again excellent. It was everything it claimed to be and we would return.
A beautiful relaxing getaway.
Recently returned from this gorgeous mountain hideaway with 4 other couples. Stunning views all round - spectacular to wake up to. Huge house with fabulous facilities. Excellently equipped kitchen, lovely bedroom and bathrooms, huge outside dining table and best of all the massive BBQ/fire pit for gathering in the evenings. Chilled days floating around in the pool and evenings eating and drinking together.
Found everything we needed in Bisenti supermarket and butchers - good market on Tues for fruit, veg, ham, cheese etc.
Lovely pizza restaurant in Castiglione and fabulous excellent value meal at Paradiso restaurant - had to stop at the meat course though - phew!!
Can't recommend enough for a 'get away from it all' luxury break.
The Best Yet!
My large, now adult family have taken holidays in large villas with pools in Italy for 4 of the last 5 years. This was the best - magnificant location, far from the madding croud, with spectacular scenery, authentic and friendly local Italian people - free from tourist trappings and commercialisation. Perfectly equipped spacious house which is ideal for inside and outside living.
Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Excellent restaurant just 10 minutes away, all the basic local provisions you need in nearby Bisenti. Bellisimo!
I escaped here with just my eldest Daughter for company after a gruelling exam period. We arrived in a storm and had to baton down the hatches but the following morning we woke up and threw open all the windows and shutters and realised that we had landed in paradise! The views across the neighbouring hillsides are unbelievable and I found it difficult to read because I just wanted to sit and stare! The House is equipped brilliantly and we loved driving to the local town and buying all the ingredients for our meals...with Christine's help...via a text...don't think I would have ever managed to buy minced beef for a hearty Bolognese sauce without her!We simply wanted to relax on this occasion, which we were able to do...but we long to return with a large party and have fun exploring the local countryside. We loved the pool and the veranda where we ate all our meals. The weather was terrific and I cannot wait to return. The loo on the first floor has one of the best views I have ever seen! Unspoilt Italy. Bellissimo!!
Our stay was made even better by some fabulous weather. The accommodation was spacious and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The walks and surrounding views were picture postcard and we often came across a lovely local bar or café. The BBQ was really useful as we were a large group of 13. The kitchen and seating areas were perfect for our group which made for some good nights in. I would recommend this for any size group but its perfect for large groups with plenty of separate bedrooms/bathrooms. Everything we could have wished for
My favourite holiday destination!
Of all the houses I've stayed in over the years, this is by far my favourite house and destination. If you want complete rest and relaxation this is the place to go. The views over the rolling hills and valleys while you're in the pool and on the veranda are exquisite. I've been here with my family a few times and always come back from there feeling like I've had a REAL holiday and feeling completely relaxed. The house is extremely well equipped which makes it feel like a home - not just a holiday house. There is plenty for the kids to do inside when it's too hot during the day and some lovely walks when it's cool enough. The house is very spacious so if you went with a large group of people you would still feel like you had your own space. This house is in the middle of nowhere, but within driving distance of the beach or the mountains - whatever you prefer. The owners are very friendly and lovely to deal with. I cannot recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back! aaahh... just writing this is making me remember how I feel when I'm there!! Lovely :)
