Lovely light and spacious 2/3 bedroom first floor apartment with shared pool and underground garage near Casino Estoril. Beach and train station with trains to Lisbon and Cascais a 6 minute walking distance. Beautiful golf courses a short drive away. 1 supermarket and several shops within easy walking distance. The Estoril Congress Centre is a 2 minute walk and the newly opened Banyon Tree Spa is a 5 minute walking distance. Ideal place to lounge by the pool, go to the beach or spend time discovering the delights of the region, eg the most westerly point of Europe, the world heritage town of Sintra, the old fishing village of Cascais which boasts the Paula Rego Museum or the beautiful city of Lisbon with its seven hills and wonderful old buildings and museums.

I live in Surrey with my wife. Both our grown-up children have left home. We love spending time in Portugal where we enjoy swimming in the pool every day before a latish breakfast, walking to Cascais along the seafront and spending time with our local friends.

a superb comfortable apartment excellent location
We enjoyed a super stay at Julia's apartment. It had every comfort for a family - including beach toys and a great library. We had the glorious sunny pool virtually to ourselves and the clean and sparkly Estoril beach and bathing pool were only a short stroll away. Julia was always helpful and accessible. We'd recommend a stay here to anyone!!!

Lovely apartment in central Estoril
The property was lovely - very spacious and well equipped. The pool was an added bonus! It was 8 minutes to the beach and nearest supermarket, with lots of restaurants to choose from within easy walking distance. We stayed for 10 days in July 2016 with two teenage daughters. The owner was incredibly helpful, providing us with lots of information before we arrived and responding to any queries really quickly, as well as leaving us a welcome bottle of wine for our arrival! Estoril is a lovely part of Portugal - great beaches and choice of restaurants and, of course, the casino but also close enough to Lisbon if you fancy a day of sightseeing. We didn't hire a car but did not feel we needed to as we had a good choice of taxis, buses (including open topped sightseeing buses) and a train station with a regular service to both Lisbon and Caiscais. Would recommend and hope to visit again ourselves.

Very well equipped,quite,and handy for all the main tourist attractions.Underground parking and lift a major bonus,hence extremely secure.Would definitely recommend it to friends and relairves.
Clean and cozy apartment with everything you need, the kitchen was very well equipped. Conveniently close to bus and train routes. And also private parking in the garage. Julia was very helpful and help was always available at the lobby by the entrance. The pool was a nice bonus.
Lovely, spacious comfortable apartment
We have just returned from Estoril after spending a week in Julia & Steve's beautiful apartment. From booking to our stay Julia was very helpful and the apartment is fully equipped with everything you could need. The apartment is across from the casino and is 10mins walk to the beach. Estoril is lovely to walk around, you can take a leisurely stroll along the sea front to Caiscais - very pretty. There is also excellent train service to Lisbon. Would love to visit the apartment and area again and would 100% recommend this lovely accommodation. Thanks Julia and Steve for helping make some happy family memories. The Hogg family ps I can't decide which house I like best in Caiscais- red or blue as they are both amazing 😌

“My wife was brought up in Portugal and spent many happy summer holidays in Estoril and so we decided to buy this apartment and use it as our second home. Estoril is a very pleasant area not only for its beach but for its big garden with very old and tall palm trees. It is an area very much sought after by many royals in exile during the second world war. Casino Estoril is the biggest Casino in Europe and, apart from gambling, offers shows, theatre and art exhibitions; you can have a coffee or a cocktail in the evenings whilst listening to live music.”
Activity and Interests
This beautiful apartment is within walking distance of Estoril beaches and train station: it takes 6 minutes to get to them and 8 minutes back. Local beaches are sandy, clean, well maintained and sheltered. Water sports are available, along with umbrellas and sunbeds. There is a promenade which runs from Estoril to Cascais and dotted with restaurants and cafes. The apartment is a ten minute drive (or by train) to Carcavelos which has a large surfing beach and 15 minute drive to the beautiful sandy beach of Guincho for surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Lisbon offers a fantastic selection of gourmet restaurants including several Michelin-starred ones. In both Estoril and Cascais you will find a good selection of local and international cuisine including many fine steak or fish restaurants. Portugal provides a wonderful array of coffee shops serving delicious pastries and cakes - be sure to try out the infamous Pasteis de Belem (custard pies) in Lisbon. There is a lovely local coffee shop called Garrett which we always visit - just a short stroll from the apartment. If ice cream is your thing, do try Santini, a traditional ice cream parlour in the heart of Cascais - a firm favourite with the kids and grown ups alike!
Lisbon Portela Airport is 25km away (about 30 minutes by car). There is no need for a car, as transport services including buses, taxis and trains are all very convenient. Taxis are inexpensive (Estoril to Cascais €5 approx.). A car is recommended for exploring the region further North and the apartment has a private parking space available for guest use.
The town of Cascais is a 35 minute walk along the seafront promenade, 5 minutes by train and 7 minutes by car.
Lisbon is a 20 minute drive or 30 minutes by train.
Sintra is a 15 minute drive as is Guincho beach.
There are 2 supermarkets (one specializes in organic food), several cafes and restaurants, a chemist, a bank (BES), a newsagent, a tourist information centre - all within a short walking distance.
There are also several large shopping malls a short drive away with a good selection of both international and local designer stores, hypermarkets and cinemas.
Sites of interest include amongst many: Caba do Roca, the westernmost point of Europe - a beautiful drive away along the coast and into the hills with spectacular views over the rugged Atlantic coast, Boca do Inferno or "Hell's Mouth" an interesting cliff formation and the stunning UNESCO town of Sintra with its beautiful palaces, boutiques and cake shops. In Lisbon you can take a hop on/hop off bus which makes a great way to see all of its interesting cultural and historical sites.

The building has an underground car park with free parking reserved for this apartment and is served by two lifts. The swimming-pool is conveniently located on the same floor as our flat meaning it is unnecessary to change at the poolside.”
